# Airtable vs Ticket Fairy for events

Event teams use Airtable's event templates to break each event into sessions, track vendor invoices against the budget and schedule volunteers. With Ticket Fairy, the same jobs sit in the account that sells your tickets, with artist contracts, advances, passes and settlements built from your actual sales.

Ticket Fairy publishes this comparison and also sells event ticketing and event management software. [How we compare platforms](https://www.ticketfairy.com/compare/methodology)

- **8 of 8** of the things you need, included on Ticket Fairy
- **4 of 8** of the things you need, confirmed on the published pages of Airtable
- **$6** Ticket Fairy fee on a $60 ticket

## Which should you choose?

### Where Ticket Fairy is stronger

- You can sell your tickets and scan them at the door with the same Ticket Fairy account you use for artist contracts, suppliers and crew.[1](#source-1)
- You can send contracts to many performers, traders or suppliers at once and have them signed online, with a signature certificate.[2](#source-2)
- Your door team can scan accreditation passes with the same app as tickets.[3](#source-3)

### Where Airtable is stronger

- The budget template tracks vendor contact details, contracted amounts, payment schedules and invoice status.[4](#source-4)
- The budget template includes status or assignment fields for stakeholders to approve expenses before funds are released.[5](#source-5)
- Automations run single notifications or multi-step workflows built from triggers and actions.[6](#source-6)

Ticket Fairy is the better fit when your event sells tickets and you want contracts signed, artists advanced and passes scanned from the same event. Airtable suits you if you want to build your own event database, with vendor payment schedules, expense approvals and automations you set up from triggers and actions.

## What would 800 tickets at $60 for a food and drink festival cost on each platform?

Airtable does not publish a fee for each ticket, so you see Ticket Fairy's fees worked out and how Airtable prices. You can enter your ticket price and the number of tickets you expect to sell.
