- **9 of 10** of the things you need, confirmed on the published pages of DICE
- **9 of 10** of the things you need, confirmed on the published pages of Skiddle
- **1** thing you get only on Ticket Fairy here

## Which should you choose?

### DICE suits you if you need

- DICE includes its booking fee in the advertised ticket price, so the price shown is the price paid.[1](#source-1)
- DICE states that 41% of tickets sold via DICE are prompted by its Discovery recommendations.[2](#source-2)

### Skiddle suits you if you need

- Organizers can pay the booking fee themselves as a commission deducted from face value.[3](#source-3)
- With DirectPay, ticket funds go straight to the organizer's own Stripe account as sales happen.[4](#source-4)

Choose DICE if you want the price fans see to be the price they pay, and app recommendations that bring new fans. Choose Skiddle if you want to choose who pays the booking fee and to have ticket money paid straight into your own Stripe account.

## Why do gig and club promoters choose Ticket Fairy over both DICE and Skiddle?

You choose who pays the booking fee and can be paid daily as tickets sell, so you have money in your account before the next show. Fans resell at face value, and you can invite past buyers back with your own email and text campaigns.

### Only on Ticket Fairy

- **AI assistant** Fai can answer questions and make changes once you approve [5](#source-5)

- You choose whether buyers pay the booking fee on top of your price or you absorb it.[6](#source-6)
- Payouts arrive daily as tickets sell, or after the show, with nothing to set up.[6](#source-6)
- Your fans can resell and transfer tickets at face value, and each returned ticket is offered to the next fan on your waiting list.[7](#source-7)
- You can promote your events with email and text campaigns, promo codes and referral rewards.[8](#source-8)
- Your door team can scan tickets on their own phones.[9](#source-9)

## What else should you know about DICE and Skiddle?

How do DICE and Skiddle fees compare in the UK?: Skiddle's default booking fee is 10% of face value plus 27p, with a £1 minimum, and buyers pay it unless you absorb it. DICE's UK and Ireland self sign-up terms set an 8.5% plus VAT service fee on face value, plus a 2.5% plus VAT transaction fee. [30](#source-30) [3](#source-3) [31](#source-31) [32](#source-32)

When do DICE and Skiddle pay you?: Skiddle releases ticket money after the event in payment runs every Tuesday and Thursday, or same day for £12.50 plus VAT, and DirectPay sends it to your own Stripe account as you sell. DICE pays within 5 business days after the event. [33](#source-33) [34](#source-34) [4](#source-4) [35](#source-35)

Can fans pay in installments on DICE or Skiddle?: Yes, on both. Skiddle lets you offer monthly payment plan tickets, and the buyer gets the ticket when the plan is paid. On DICE in the UK, buyers can split the cost into 3 interest-free payments with Klarna. [36](#source-36) [37](#source-37)

Can fans resell tickets on DICE and Skiddle?: Yes, in different ways. Skiddle's Re:Sell lets buyers resell at face value only, at no cost to you. On DICE, returned tickets for sold-out events go to fans on the Wait List, and tickets transfer only between DICE accounts. [38](#source-38) [39](#source-39) [40](#source-40)

How do DICE and Skiddle scan tickets at the door?: Skiddle's RapidScan app keeps scanning without an internet connection once the event has loaded. DICE tickets are a QR code in the app, linked to the buyer's phone number and activated on the day. [41](#source-41) [42](#source-42)

Can you choose who pays the booking fee on DICE or Skiddle?: On Skiddle, yes: buyers pay it by default, or you pay it as a commission and advertise your tickets as booking fee free. DICE includes its booking fee in the advertised ticket price, so the price fans see is the price they pay. [3](#source-3) [43](#source-43) [1](#source-1)

## How are DICE and Skiddle priced?

Skiddle charges a per-ticket booking fee (UK default 10% of face value + 27p, minimum £1), which the buyer pays by default or the organizer absorbs as a commission, plus a per-order RapidScan fee. Optional paid extras include Same Day Payments, e-flyers and reminder messages.[48](#source-48)
