# Squarespace vs Ticket Fairy

With Squarespace, you design your site from designer templates and sell event places as service products, with payment plans and in-person payments. With Ticket Fairy, you sell tickets on the Free plan with seat maps and door scanning, and you can keep your Squarespace site and sell from it with a Code block.

## Which should you choose?

### Where Ticket Fairy is stronger

- Ticket Fairy works with Squarespace: you can keep your Squarespace site and sell tickets from any page with a Code block, on a Squarespace plan that has Code blocks.[1](#source-1)
- Your buyers can pick their own seat on your venue's map.[2](#source-2)
- Your door team can scan tickets on their own phones, and your buyers can keep their tickets in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.[3](#source-3)

### Where Squarespace is stronger

- Designer templates customized with a drag-and-drop editor on every plan; CSS and JavaScript customization from Core[4](#source-4)
- From the Core plan, Squarespace charges no commerce transaction fee.[5](#source-5)

Ticket Fairy is the better fit when you sell tickets to shows and festivals: your seat maps, door scanning and payouts come with it, and your Squarespace site can still sell them. Squarespace suits you if your site sells classes or workshops with a set number of places alongside your other products.

## What does each cost when you sell 200 tickets at $40, one ticket per order?

Squarespace's figure adds its 2% transaction fee on the Basic plan and the Squarespace Payments card rate in the United States. Its plan price was shown to us in pounds for UK visitors, so it is shown in pounds on its own line. Ticket Fairy's ticketing fee includes card processing and VAT or GST, and the Free plan sells tickets with no monthly fee.

*### What does one order of 200 tickets at $40 cost on each platform?*
