# What can you find out about the people who buy your tickets?

Ticket Fairy records the age and gender of your buyers, their city and country, the device they checked out on, the promoter or post that brought them, and whether they have bought from you before. Promoters deciding what to put on next can read all of it in the dashboard without exporting anything.

See who bought, where they live, the device they checked out on, the promoter or post that brought them and whether they have bought from you before, and which report answers each question.

Til: Deciding your next event from who bought tickets to the last one

Tager: 7 minutter

Demographics holds age, gender and profession. Devices holds what buyers bought on. Geographics holds where they are. Traffic holds how they arrived. Gaming names the Twitch channels among them. Customers holds who has bought from you before, across every event you run.

Most of it comes straight from your own completed orders, so the figures are about the people who bought. Traffic counts visits to your event page rather than orders, and gender and professions come from an audience match that runs about a day after your first sales, which is why the totals do not line up with each other. The guide behind each report says exactly what it counts.

Ask Fai for any of it in a sentence, and she reads the same reports, draws a chart or drafts the summary you send a sponsor. Nothing here needs an export or a second tool.

## Sådan hjælper Ticket Fairy

- ### [Who they are](https://www.ticketfairy.com/da/guides/read-your-audience-demographics)

Age by year and by band, gender, and the jobs and employers of your buyers, so you can aim the next campaign at the people who bought this one.
- ### [Where they are](https://www.ticketfairy.com/da/guides/see-where-your-event-audiences-are-strongest)

Buyers by country and city, for one event or across every event your brand has run, which is how you pick the next city to play.
- ### [How they arrived](https://www.ticketfairy.com/da/guides/see-how-visitors-find-your-event-page)

The sites, posts and searches that brought visitors to your event page, and what share of them bought.
- ### [Who brought them](https://www.ticketfairy.com/da/guides/track-which-promotion-sold-your-tickets)

The promoter, the tracking link or the buyer whose referral produced each sale, with the money beside each name.
- ### [Who came back](https://www.ticketfairy.com/da/guides/understand-who-buys-tickets-across-your-events)

Buyers across every event you run, with how many tickets each has bought and whether they are buying more or less than before.
- ### Who can reach an audience of their own

The Twitch channels among your buyers, with the size of each following, so you can offer the biggest ones something before the doors open.

## Før du går i gang

- For the reports on one event, you're an owner or an admin on it, or you have a **Stats** or **Limited Stats** login for it.
- For the reports across every event, you're an owner or an admin on the brand, or you have a **Stats** login for it. A Limited Stats login does not open the brand reports.
- Your event has sold tickets. Age appears as soon as buyers give a date of birth, while gender and profession usually take about a day after the first sales.

1. ## Start with age, because it changes the most

Open your event and select **Demographics** for the age bands and the gender split.

**Bemærk:** Age is the figure that moves between a club night and a festival, and the one that decides which platform your next advert belongs on.
![The age bands of an event's ticket buyers, from under 18 to over 55](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-demographics--age-bands.png) Demographics, Age Ranges.
2. ## Read what they bought on

Select **Devices** for the browser, device, platform and model behind each order.

**Bemærk:** Where most orders come from phones, open your own checkout on a phone before you spend more on advertising.
![The Devices report, with the top browser, device type, platform, brand and model above the full browser breakdown](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-buyer-devices--devices.png) Devices.
3. ## See which cities to play next

Open your brand and select **Geographics** for buyers by country and city.

**Bemærk:** Read it across every event rather than one, because a single show tells you about that night and a brand tells you about your audience. The places come from the billing address on each order rather than the venue or where the buyer was when they bought.
![Buyers by country and city across every event a brand has run](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-brand-geographics--all-events.png) Brand, Geographics.
4. ## Find the people who keep coming back

Select **Customers** on your brand for everyone who has bought from you.

**Bemærk:** The people who bought twice are the cheapest audience to sell to next time, so message them first. The report counts buyers, so a guest who has only ever been comped is not in it.
![The Customers list of a brand, with how many tickets each buyer has bought](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-customers--customer-list.png) Brand, Customers.
5. ## Put the figures next to the money

Open your event, select **Performance** and select **Sales by Type** for one row per ticket type with what it sold and what it brought in.

**Bemærk:** The age band that buys the most tickets and the one that spends the most are not always the same, and this is where the difference shows.
![The Sales by Type tab, with a row for each ticket type and what it has sold and earned](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-analytics--sales-breakdown.png) Event, Performance, Sales by Type.

Ask Fai, the assistant inside your dashboard, for any of these figures in plain language. She reads the same reports and can draw the answer as a chart or turn it into a document you can send on.

For \<EVENT NAME\>, tell me which age band bought the most, which cities they came from and what they bought on, and draw the age bands as a chart

## Spørgsmål du måske har

Do I need to export anything to read these?: No. You read every report in the dashboard, and each one has a copy control for the times you want the rows in a spreadsheet.

Why do two reports give me different totals?: Each counts a slightly different thing. Age needs a date of birth, gender and profession come from a match that runs after your first sales, and Devices counts orders rather than people. The guide behind each report says exactly what it counts.

Is this real buyer data or an estimate?: The ages, devices, locations and repeat buyers are your own completed orders. Gender and professions come from an audience match that runs after your first sales, and Traffic counts visits to your event page. None of it is a modelled panel or a lookalike audience bought in.

Can I see this across all my events rather than one?: Yes. Geographics, Demographics and Customers all have a brand-level view that covers every event you have run.

Who on my team can read these reports?: On an event, you need an owner or admin login, or a **Stats** or **Limited Stats** one. Across the brand, you need an owner or admin login on the brand, or a **Stats** one. Promoter and door logins see none of them.
