Check out the nominations below:*** Nia Archives’ ‘Silence is Loud,’ ‘early twenties’ by Cat Burns, and ‘When Will We Land?’ from Barry Can’t Swim, amongst others, are up for the Mercury Prize 2024. Nia’s debut studio album ‘Silence is Loud’ has become the first jungle record to receive a Mercury Prize nod in 25 years. The last person to pick up this win was Roni Size in 1997. A panel of industry experts, including The Times’ music critic Will Hodgkinson, Nottingham-born DJ and presenter MistaJam, DJ and Future Bounce label head honcho Jamz Supernova, and Head of Music Radio 2 and 6 at BBC – Jeff Smith, joined forces to decide the nominees.
