***The Swiss DJ and producer spoke about his debut on Purified Records, his approach to production, and what the next chapter of his musical evolution looks like.***

With over a decade of delivering deep and emotionally charged dance music, Swiss DJ and producer Khainz has solidified his reputation as a true musical journeyman. His extensive catalog, spanning three stunning studio albums and numerous singles, reflects an artist unafraid to explore the vast spectrum of electronic music while maintaining a signature emotive core.

From peak-time techno cuts to melodic house gems, Khainz has released music on some of the most respected labels in the scene. These include Tomorrowland Music, Spectrum (helmed by Joris Voorn), Purified Records, Siona Records, Eleatics, and his very own Module Music, a platform that reflects his broad musical vision.

Each release reveals another layer of his artistry, balancing meticulous sound design with an instinctive sense of rhythm and soul. His ability to translate a wide-ranging palette of ideas into compelling music has not only captivated dance floors worldwide but also drawn support from electronic music titans such as Innellea, David Guetta, Joris Voorn, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Vintage Culture, Miss Monique, and Kevin de Vries, among many others.

Now, as he continues to evolve without compromising his journeyman ethos, Khainz makes his debut on Nora En Pure’s esteemed Purified Records with ‘Fall To You,’ a striking vocal-led offering that encapsulates his refined production style and innate ability to craft deeply moving soundscapes. The track stands as a testament to his growth, blending intricate melodic layers with a hypnotic rhythm section, all anchored by a haunting vocal that lingers long after the last beat.

‘Fall To You’ marks an exciting new chapter in Khainz’s ever-unfolding musical odyssey, one that sees him bringing his well-honed artistry to a globally revered platform while staying true to the introspective depth that has defined his sound from the beginning.

As he prepares for the next phase of his career, we sat down with the artist to delve deeper into his creative process, the significance of his Purified Records debut, and what lies ahead in his relentless pursuit of sonic evolution. From his early influences to his current inspirations, Khainz offers a glimpse into the mind of a producer who has spent years perfecting his craft—and has no intention of slowing down.

**TFword: Congratulations on your debut with Purified Records! What drew you to the label, and how did the release of ‘Fall To You’ come about?
KHAINZ:** Purified has always been one of my favorite labels, because to its consistently high-quality releases and distinctive sound. I felt “Fall To You” would be a perfect fit for the label, so I emailed it to Nora en Pure. She liked it, so we decided to release it under her label.

**TF: ‘Fall To You’ blends emotive vocals with intricate production and a deep groove. What was the inspiration behind the track, both musically and emotionally?** **
KHAINZ:** I began this track on a misty fall day in Switzerland. Fall generally gives me a melancholy mood. I began to compose a song that mirrored that sensation. When I got an initial drawing, I believed that a certain vocal may work with it, so I submitted it to my vocalist of choice. When I received his script, I believed we shared similar visions about what would work emotionally on the track.

****TF:**Can you walk us through the production process of the track? How did the vocal come into play, and how did you build the arrangement around it?
KHAINZ:** I started writing several melodies and chord progressions. When I got something that I believed had the right vibe for the tune, I sent it to the singer I thought would be a good fit. When I received his draft back, I adjusted and arranged it accordingly and we took it from there.

****TF:**The track feels both introspective and club-ready. Was that duality intentional, or something that emerged organically during the creative process?
KHAINZ:** Because I believed that the tune could be both – homelistening and powerful enough to fit into my DJ sets, I made the decision to do so on purpose. But it all happened organically without any force.

******TF:****You’ve long been a staple of the international dance music scene, how would you describe your sound today, and how has it evolved over the years?
KHAINZ:** Although my sound is always developing and shifting, I always strive to make sure that it is easily identifiable as being mine. Due to the fact that I spend a significant amount of time in the studio and experience a variety of emotions that I want to be reflected in my music it always changes. I would find it extremely boring to write in the same “style” over and over again.

******TF:****Many fans note your ability to balance precision and emotion in your productions. How do you approach that balance in the studio?
KHAINZ:** As someone who enjoys listening to a wide variety of musical genres, I find it quite enjoyable to experience a range of feelings and emotions. Whenever I enter the recording studio, I find that I am frequently in a variety of states of mind, which I try to convey via the music. I frequently work on four to five different songs at the same time, and I continue working on the ones that I believe have the appropriate feelings for the particular day.

******TF:****Melodic elements and subtle tension are key features of ‘Fall To You.’ Would you say you’re leaning more into melodic techno these days?
KHAINZ:** Since I’ve always been a fan of melodies and progressive house music, I’ve always felt that melodictechno is a combination of the two. But if I’m being really honest, I believe that there are too many tracks that sound the same these days, and it tends to seem generic and may be monotonous at times. As a result, I generally try to incorporate a wide variety of various subgenres of techno and house music into my music.

******TF:****How do you keep your sound fresh while staying true to your signature style?
KHAINZ:** I create so much music that much of it is never released. I only choose those that I think are intriguing and worth sharing. It’s always important to have a certain style or vibe that people can identify, therefore I constantly try to integrate elements that are unique to my projects.

******TF:****Take us back to the beginning, how did your journey into electronic music and DJing start?
KHAINZ:** When I was a youngster, I had a couple of V.A.s called Bravo Hits that had a variety of musical styles. I’ve always been fascinated to electronic music, specifically Kraftwerk, U96, 2Unlimited, and other more commercial acts. When I was 15, my older brother bought his own equipment and practiced DJing in his bedroom. I was lucky to obtain permission to use it and his records for practice, since I was really interested in the craft of DJing. So I began to fall in love with it and kept practicing.

******TF:****Was there a pivotal moment or release early on that made you feel like things were really starting to take off?
KHAINZ:** I believe that the first foreign bookings I received were the moment when I realized that my music was beginning to be acknowledged in the electronic music scene“ all over the world.

******TF:****With your extensive catalog, do you ever revisit older tracks when playing live or drawing inspiration in the studio?
KHAINZ:** Because I write so much new music, I typically play unpublished tracks. For certainly, there are moments when I feel it is appropriate to play something that the majority of the audience knows and recognizes. But I often compose new versions of these “older” tunes since I find it dull to perform music that I’ve been playing for over 15 years.

******TF:****If you had to describe the next phase of your musical journey in one sentence, what would it be?
KHAINZ:** Always forward, never backwards. Evolve!
