Showpower’s battery system SmartGrid will deposit energy beforehand, using no onsite fuel or emissions at this stage. “Ultra’s deployment is exactly the kind of forward-thinking action the industry needs. By partnering with Showpower to bring battery-powered technology to a major electronic festival, Ultra is proving that climate solutions can enhance live music production. Ultra’s collaboration with Showpower, which brings its SmartGrid™ battery system to the Resistance Cove Stage, is a part of the festival’s Mission Home initiative. This year, Ultra’s RESISTANCE Cove Stage provides the greatest opportunity to do that, by replacing a generator with a battery system charged by grid power.” This will be a major sustainability initiative for a large-scale electronic music festival’s stage to run entirely on a battery-powered system with zero emissions.
