The Grass Is Greener will open with its first event on the Gold Coast on Saturday, October 22, and will travel to Cairns, the birthplace of the festival, on October 29. It will feature performances from Alok, YG, Brux, PNAU, Sticky Fingers, and many more acts. TGIG’s first stop will take place at Doug Jennings Park, Main Beach in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, and will feature the most exciting international and local acts in music across electronic, hip-hop, indie rock, and alternative rock genres. Doug Jennings Park, located on The Spit in Main Beach, has a capacity of over 10,000 people and hosts music festivals and other events on a regular basis. Singer-songwriter Gaudion will kick things off on the main stage, which will also see performances from headliners rapper YG, electronic dance music trio PNAU, indie rock band Sticky Fingers, deep house and techno DJ Alok, musician Boo Seeka, DJ duo Sidepiece, and singer Aluna, who is returning to Australia for the first time in five years, and many other opening acts throughout the day.
