Lesezeit ***Goa-based musician Michael Dias, formerly of the Indian rock band Mad Orange Fireworks, has rolled out his ten-track debut album.*** Titled ‘Show Me What’s Real,’ Michael Dias’ debut record is a solid pop-rock outing doused with sways of rock, jazz, blues, and funk. Featuring his previously released singles ‘Chai Song,’ ‘The Fruit,’ ‘I Will Let You Go,’ and ‘Time Machine,’ ‘Show Me What’s Real’ kicks off with the titular track – a four-minute hard-rock jam. It is followed by ‘Why Suzie Why,’ a bluesy-funk offering layered with powerful yet somber brass segments. The acoustic piece ‘Flicked A Switch’ boasts the guitarist’s vocal mastery in tandem with elegant choir-esque harmonies. ‘Once I Find You,’ a decisive rock composition, is tailored with sleek bass and percussive action, fixed with a tidy electric guitar riff. Next up is ‘I Can’t Go On,’ the record’s blues-rock offering, with the melodic track ‘Black Hole’ concluding the album.
