Already established in their own right through progressive house releases on many notable labels, the pair are no strangers to the world of dance music. Together, Paul Sawyer and Simon Sinfield have now strengthened their reputation as musicians not only within the dance music ecosystem but more importantly, within the drum & bass genre with the inception of their Weissach alias. Having made a name for themselves through two, six-month residencies on **BBC Radio 1**and kicking off **2023**with a one-off show back on the station, the duo have now released their debut single with [Ana Be](https://open.spotify.com/artist/2rgHksF5naRCbrFWv5tp2C?si=FHPsm8K0QRWydbvtrmmWyQ) called ‘Fly’ on independent label Krafted Records. https://www.instagram.com/p/CrjLakDsRaq/ ##### You May Also Like: [TFword In Conversation With State Of Mind](https://www.ticketfairy.com/word/2023/04/06/tfword-in-conversation-with-state-of-mind) We were keen to know more from Weissach about their latest single with Ana Be, their influences, and their plans for the rest of the year; and here’s what they had to say: **TFword: How did the Weissach alias come about?** **Weissach:** Both of us are massive petrol heads and Porsche fans, so when we considered a name for this project we came up with the name that Porsche use for their special edition cars. **TF: What was the pivotal moment in making a drum & bass tune as your first release?** **Weissach:** We have both actually had hundreds of releases already on some notable labels making Progressive House, but decided between us that we wanted to make a liquid D & B track as it’s a genre that we have always loved. **TF: We’re in love with the melodic and feel-good vibe ‘Fly’ provides. How was the experience while working on the tune?** **Weissach:** It was effectively written for the vocalist and we used our experience with making melodic house into this track to come up with the main melody and hook. **TF: Ana Be’s vocals elevates the entire atmosphere of the tune. How did the collaboration come about?** **Weissach:** Paul actually came across Hannah aka Ana Be when making a track for Paul Oakenfold’s label Perfecto called Waiting All My Life and we instantly struck a good relationship with Hannah from then. We signed her to our label Krafted and now manage her and produce her singles. Her debut single Same Old Story was Premiered on BBC Radio 1 during summer 2022, so working with Hannah on our debut Weissach single just made sense. [PREMIERE: Weissach ft. If yes, what would they be?** **Weissach:** No, this project is going to focus on liquid drum and bass and we already have some remixes, and more singles lined up. **TF: What’s coming up next for Weissach?** **Weissach:** Our follow up single is in the pipeline with an exciting vocalist that we are looking forward to announcing soon.
