The revered DJ/producer will be joined by a slew of local artists at each stop of his India tour, including GOAX, Pia Collada, C4GE, Fragment, kSaya, and more. Pieced together by D&B Draft, Operate’s India tour will kick off in Mumbai’s antiSOCIAL (Lower Parel) on October 19. He will later head to EXT in Hyderabad (October 20), The High Spirits Cafe in Pune (October 22), Indiranagar Social in Bangalore (October 27), and culminate the tour at The Loft in Goa (October 28). The duo spoke to us about what the audience can expect at their forthcoming set, with Fragment voicing, “Overview is a label that I have followed every since its inception and to have a chance to play alongside one of the label’s top talents, it’s a privilege and I can’t thank the folks at D&B Draft enough for this. Expect some lush numbers, some rollers, some whacky jungle and everything in between, until the main man takes over.” kSaya chipped in to say, “With this tour, D&B Draft has initiated a long run of talented artists making their way to India. It’s an honour to be a part of the Mumbai leg, which features artists who are really passionate about DnB music. And the set will be filled with some super minimal DnB tunes and also some experimental music at the end. Me and my crew Khabardar feel very excited to perform for the Operate India Tour and DnB Draft’s first session in Mumbai. It’s a very huge thing they are pulling this off so I’m looking forward to it,” C4GE disclosed to us. Producer Dilip Jangid, more popularly known by his moniker BAVLOW, will bring in “bass-heavy, minimal drum & bass rollers” to his set as he rounds out the artist card. D&B Draft’s founder and DJ/producer GOAX will spruce up each night as the host for every stop of the tour.
