Vocals on the single consist mostly of deep growls peppered with bulky textures. Pedaling between the floor-stomping heavy metal action is a brief melodic score, a sliver of tranquility amidst a tempest that jolts back to a heavy, hard-hitting soundscape. Captured and facing the gallows, her last words echo a grim prophecy: “I am not the first, nor the last. There will be many. “Making this comeback is exciting,” says guitarist and founding member Odin De Sa. On returning with new music after four years, he added, “It’s been a while since that release and as a small Indian band from an even smaller state, it can be hard to fuel the need to get out there and put music out.” Concocted meticulously, ‘Ceres’ is an artificial reality from a faraway future, where users submerge themselves in a world beyond today’s virtual reality and can explore multiple possibilities.
