## **NOW - ROUND 2 - HAMPTON DOWNS - 15-16 MAR 2024**

**D1NZ 2024 EVENT FOR THE WAIKATO/AUCKLAND REGIONS**

The 2023/2024 season of the D1NZ National Drifting Championship moves back up the country, hitting Hampton Downs for a brand new layout - Club Circuit in reverse! For this event the pits are accessible so you can meet and greet your favourite drivers.

This event is a combined event with the Super Sprint Motorsport New Zealand Championship, however we are a stand alone grid with our own track within the larger event, fans will be able to see both the circuit racing & the drifting on the one ticket

FRIDAY EVENT DAYS FOR D1NZ & SUPER SPRINT ARE FREE!!  

**​EVENT OPENING HOURS:**

- Gates open at 9:00am both days.
- **Friday is practice and qualifying. **
- **Saturday is the main competition battle day for both Pro-Sport and Pro classes respectively.**

Please note D1NZ is **not on track Sunday.** This is only Super Sprint - however, D1NZ Saturday tickets can watch both the Club Circuit and the National Circuits racing. 

**TICKET OPTIONS:**

Tickets purchased online (available before the event only) are more cost-effective than at the gate

Adult pricing is for those aged 15+

**★ The venue – Hampton Downs Motorsport Park** **★**Hampton Downs is a world class motorsport park and events centre and home to some of the biggest events in NZ, including the New Zealand Grand Prix and Ferrari Challenge Australasia.  It also boasts a private membership and is the home of the NZ Racing Academy.

The North Waikato venue underwent a $30m upgrade in 2016 under the ownership of Tony Quinn and has since cemented its place as one of the best motorsport facilities in the world.

Activities include the now-famous Hampton Downs Go-Karts, hot laps in a Lamborghini or TA2 V8 Mustang, the Repco V8 Mustang and Camaro U-Drive experiences, the Radical U-Drive experience, and the Jeep Wrangler 4WD experience. Other attractions include Mad Mike Whiddett’s Mad Lab and the Toyota Gazoo Racing Series “Live Workshop”. Don’t miss our very own car show, Caffeine and Gasoline held on the last Sunday of each month and if you want to get your own car out on our circuits, check out Auto Addict on our website. Award-winning coffee and great food are available from our Café, and if you drive electric, we have a high-speed charger onsite for your convenience.

Hampton Downs is also a corporate event and conference venue with 11 different modern meeting rooms and catering options.

**Food & Beverages:**

- There will be food and beverages available at the venue. 
- Alcohol will not be served to minors or intoxicated persons - ID required on request. You may bring a homemade picnic in a soft-chilly bag. 
- Commercial food is not allowed to be brought into the venue.
- This is a fantastic event however, you may be exposed to the sun, wind or rain for an extended period, therefore we strongly encourage you to bring along sunscreen, sunglasses, a jacket, be prepared with a fillable water bottle.
