Big City Spiral (@bigcityspiral) is back with another live gig of your favourite indie rock bands at your favourite live venues. Get ready for Volume 3 on Sunday October 26 at the G5A Warehouse, Mahalaxmi, Mumbai.

Band Line-Up:

**CONTRA & Friends** (@contratheband) – A Mumbai-based rock band led by Manas Jha (vocals) and Dean (guitars), with special guests Aniket Waghmode (drums) and Chirag Todi (bass). Known for their emotive rock experience, tracks like "You Were There" and "Rain" from 2024's self-titled debut EP capture the essence of their music. Previously, CONTRA played Big City Spiral Vol 1 gig at antiSOCIAL (Lower Parel) in Feb, where they were joined by indie darlings Sid Coutto (from ZERO) and Tanmay Bahulekar (aka Microphon3 from CHABUK).

**Runt** (@runt.rants) - Mumbai-based alternative rock project created by indie favorite Siddharth Basrur (vocals, guitars), with Chandan Raina (guitars), Deep Rk (bass), and Jeremy D'souza (drums). Runt released its debut EP, 'Rhymes With,' in 2017. They are currently working on their debut album, a nd dropped singles "Racecar" and "Like Jello, Only Stickier" recently. Previously, Runt featured on Big City Spiral's Listening Lounge at Ink n Brew (Versova) in May, where Basrur spun some of his favorite vinyls - Pearl Jam, Chris Cornell, Spawn soundtrack, and more.

**Serpents of Pakhangba** (@serpentsofpakhangba) - The band takes its name from Pakhangba, the primordial dragon deity of Manipur, an ancient symbol of creation, balance, and transformation. The band channels this myth into a contemporary retelling of Asian mysticism and shamanic art, unfolding through sound that is at once meditative, dissonant, and fiercely heavy. The project was founded by Vishal J. Singh, a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer widely known for his internationally acclaimed avant-prog ensemble Amogh Symphony. With Serpents of Pakhangba, Singh creates a space where the sacred and the modern collide, exploring the union of Divine Masculinity and Divine Femininity through music that is both philosophical and visceral. Critics and local music journals have described the band’s approach as “feminist-centric art-metal”, a rare combination of aggression, ritual, and catharsis. Their compositions weave together dissonant avant-garde textures, modern metal structures, Asian chants, and mystical narratives, resulting in a sound that defies categorization yet resonates with profound cultural depth. On stage, Serpents of Pakhangba transforms performance into ritual. Each live set is a surge of storytelling, sound, and collective energy, leaving audiences immersed in a shared experience that transcends the boundary between concert and ceremony. Serpents of Pakhangba is a myth reborn, a voice of balance, and a force of artistic rebellion.

Get ready for a night of raw, untamed music. Show up on the 26th of October — we’ll see you there!
