This project was propelled by the vision of fusing traditional Eastern music with modern electronic composition as a form of cultural preservation. He was initiated as Semazen in 1996, and has made Sema with several Sufi groups in America and abroad. A staple of the Bay Area scene with her band La Zuli, she’s now exploring new territory with a live folktronica DJ project.
