Fiona McMartin has found her voice again.

Recently returning from an extended stint in London and Berlin, the Wanaka Local comes to Rhyme x Reason armed with a fresh body of songs, this time supported by her exciting new band featuring Elliot Steven (guitar), Louis Koopman (keys), Dan Rainey (bass) and Daz Coppins (drums). 

Expect a tight-knit fusion of Neo-Soul, Indie Rock and Folk underpinning Fiona’s soulful voice and vulnerable lyrics, as she takes the heart from her sleeve and hands it to the audience….Still beating with her characteristic brand of cynically dark humor.

Spoken is an iridescent three-piece band making Jazz-infused RNB with electronic elements from Wānaka. Spoken started in a music class between two students who would regularly collaborate on productions. After a year of pursuing a two-piece, they started jamming with a bass player that filled their stage presence 

immensely and completed the sound. In the past year spoken has had notable performances alongside top kiwi artists including Hollie Smith. The full band consists of Richard Denyer (Bass), Matilda Metcalfe (Keys/Vocals), and Oscar Goodwin (Drums)
