Ever wanted to learn the basics of DJing but you’re unsure where to start? Electronic artist/DJ Paige Julia has been working in electronic music for 10 years and has taught more than 100 new DJ’s since 2014, with an effective 2 hour workshop covering the basics you’ll need to get started.

We will cover some of the theory and preparation that goes into a DJ set, how you can harness your lifetime of musical exploration to create a unique experience, your options for equipment and software and then spend an hour with hands on the equipment covering the important mechanics of club ready - CDJ systems and how they translate to home systems.

The workshop is designed to be completely accessible to new artists. All parts of the course will be taught with the assumption you are starting from the very beginning, all of the jargon and terminology of the trade will be explained completely and all questions are valid and valuable.

All you will need to bring is yourself, we will provide the equipment necessary for the beginner content, however if you want to bring your own USB of music for the practical session, or your own headphones for use, please feel free to.
