Just over twenty years ago, the JaxDnB name was born with the creation of our classic logo and the community message board. Even though our city had a drum & bass scene for several years already, this important milestone has endured the test of time. Now we celebrate this new milestone with our last major party of the year and we've got some heat in store for you. We are very excited to present to you:
LO! (Dread Recordings / Rebel Music / Rosebay Music/ LionDub Intl. / Seminal Sounds / Driven AM / Prestige Music / Shoot Recordings)
Alongside two of Florida DnB's true originals, Circle K and Collaborator (Torque, Jungala, Rolled Up)
Plus a JaxDnB family tag set featuring Basilisk, Cypher, D Rock, MekanizedSource, Nathan Bradley, Reflections, XMSN
More About the Artists
Since the late 90’s, Peruvian-American Chicago native LO! has hosted and shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Drum and Bass. With a diverse musical background and non-stop production itch, LO! has gained some serious momentum over the past few years, with monumental releases on labels across the globe, such as Dread Recordings, Rebel Music and Rosebay Music to name a few. His latest productions have been championed by Drum and Bass pioneers worldwide, with several releases on deck for 2025 and beyond. As a resident and honcho at Proper Chicago DNB, you can find LO! curating vibes throughout the month, where his dubs and tune selection are guaranteed to make you move.
Torque founder, promoter, resident DJ and designer, Kevin Harrell, aka Circle K, has been championing drum & bass for 20 years. As Torque's original resident DJ, Circle K has mastered the art of warming up the crowd for some of the biggest names in d&b. With his long, smooth blends, quick cuts and seamless transitions from liquid to rollers to anthems and back, Circle K is a dj's dj and crowd favorite—whether opening at Torque or headlining elsewhere.
Co-founder of Torque and original resident MC and DJ, Damian Roman, aka Collaborator, has been hyping the crowd at Torque from day one. Drawing from his past as a metal band frontman, Collaborator brings a vibe like no other on the mic—a fusion of flows, growls, crowd hyping and even some crooning here and there. In addition to MCing and DJing, Collaborator also produces his own tunes solo and together with Aaron Bond as Synchronaria.
Although not all-inclusive of the entire cadre of artists, the team of Basilisk, Cypher, D Rock, MekanizedSource, Nathan Bradley, Reflections, and XMSN make up the core of our scene's most steadfast supports from the past two decades. Each brings their own style and flow from their track selections to their mixing styles. When the gang gets together for a massive tag session, it's always dynamic and lively, and this one is sure to be no different.
