NC-17 is a Toronto, Canada-based recording artist for Dispatch & Metalheadz Recordings. Coming from a cinema background, NC-17 fuses his passion for film & Drum & Bass. The combination makes for a unique take on the genre. His love for both arts really set NC-17 apart. His main inspirations come from such film composers as Goblin, Simon Boswell, Ennio Morricone, Fabio Frizzi & John Carpenter. Also being deeply impacted by filmmakers such as Martin Scorsese, Stanley Kubrick, Dario Argento & Abel Fererra. NC-17 is always aiming for a throwback feel with a contemporary approach to the genre. Very much influenced by labels such as Metalheadz, Renegade Hardware, Full Cycle, Ram & Prototype mainly the late 90s era.

With past releases on such labels as Ram, Symmetry & CIA NC-17 really found his sound in 2020. Linking up with Ant -TC1 & Goldie, NC-17 has put together his critically acclaimed Most Violent Year Album trilogy on Dispatch & his three-part companion pieces Gravity Falls (ep), Winter Sleep (ep) State of Grace (ep) on Metalheadz. Look out for future releases on both Dispatch & Metalheadz.
