Smooth and confident music oozes from Raglan groovers Masaya. Formed from a University project where Reiki Ruawai ( Vocalist) needed to put together a band for an assignment. Coaxing sister Kaea on drums and friend Muroki on Bass the three piece jammed for the first time. Not long after, University was quit and Masaya was formed. Adding Jules Blewman from wellington band Tunes of I and Uni student Joe Kaptein on keys the band hit the studio. Two singles, Tales of the Moonshine and Shake the Sun plus EP Tongue & Groove were released in 2019. Masaya is a fun vibe with catchy hooks and unmistakable steez from Raglan, NZ.
