Live Music: Bósa // a Stephan Jacobs & Sunev project/ Los Angeles: Tribal/Deep House What and who is Bósa? When you think of world music and electronic music together, the blend comes across as nothing short of the extraordinary duo, Bósa. Both Stephan and Sunev’s goal within this project is simply to create a vibe in their music and when playing in live sessions. Inspired by world travels and Burning Man, the duo have a collective 20 years of attending the annual BM festival which are reflective through cultural atmospheres. Stephan Jacobs, being a pioneer of west coast bass music, takes a very different approach with the music production behind Bósa, focusing on the ethnic inspired vibe. Quoted, “A big part of making this music is the people and parties that go along with it, they inspire me tremendously”. Sunev, contributing heavily to the rhythm of Bósa, provides both live and on original productions. He has been a part of multiple high profile bands ultimately lending his talents to major world touring acts such as Beyond Race, Children ov Paradise and Protection.
