Paua’s music is a distinct blend of all the sweet elements of reggae, soul & funk. Within the band lies a powerful collaboration of varying musical influences, producing an earthy original sound unique to Paua. High energy, feel \- good live s hows instantly captivate audiences from the first drum kick. A vibrant blend of creativity, pure musicianship and originality. Formed in 2009, Paua had simple humble goals; to write and create original reggae music, perform shows and work towards releasing music they not only love, but that has made a difference to the masses that love that bona fide divergent sound of Paua Reggae Music. Now, with two full length album releases, an EP and multiple single releases, topping iTunes reggae charts in Australia a nd New Zealand, Paua are globalising their musical journey. They have been blessed to share the stage with reggae giants such as UB40, Steel Pulse, Julian Marley, Ky \- Mani Marley, Black Slate, Raging Fyah, Tarrus Riley, Third World, Maxi Priest and Katchafi re, having played at some of the biggest roots/reggae festivals in the Southern Hemisphere including multiple sold out One Love Festivals (NZ). Paua is continuing to set bigger goals moving forward, including extensive international touring and creating ne w music; music which encompasses all of Paua’s unique signature elements which cater for the mind, body, heart & soul, something for everyone.
