PPP Presents - UMBRAL Dia de Muertos
UMBRAL
Day of the Dead | Tulum, Mexico
Honoring the Past. Celebrating the Now. Rooted in Gratitude.
UMBRAL is a contemporary Day of the Dead celebration set in the heart of Tulum — a luminous gathering where ritual, music, culture and community come together to honor life through remembrance.
Taking place from October 25 to November 2 at Papaya Playa Project, UMBRAL reimagines Día de Muertos as an experience of light, gratitude and conscious celebration. Rooted in Mexican tradition and inspired by Mayan rituals, the festival invites guests to reconnect with memory not through mourning, but through joy, presence and shared experience.
Across a curated multi-day program, guests will experience:
- Ceremonial gatherings with sacred fire, copal and collective intention
- Mayan-inspired candle rituals and altar activations
- Wellness and embodied practices including breathwork, movement and sound healing
- Cultural experiences rooted in Janal Pixan traditions
- A coastal parade and walking procession
- A world-class Saturday night celebration with international DJs
At UMBRAL, music becomes ritual, the body becomes present, and celebration becomes a way of honoring those who came before us.
This is not a festival of darkness —
it is a celebration of life, memory and gratitude.
Join us in Tulum as we cross the threshold together.
