Rosa Pistola, also known as Laura Puentes, is a Colombian cultural architect who has resided in Mexico for the past 15 years. Her expertise lies in implementing her unique auditory technique in unconventional spaces, creating environments that defy traditional expectations. While initially involved in underground projects centered around noise and experimental music, such as Mangina, Raters, and Boy Band, she transitioned to become a prominent figure in the world of reggaeton in 2015. Beyond merely contributing to the genre, Rosa Pistola has pioneered a concept that transcends typical Latin understanding, fostering a highly erotic and intense atmosphere on the dance floor.

Specializing in underground, subversive, and experimental reggaeton, Rosa Pistola has achieved remarkable milestones in her career. Notably, she participated in the first reggaeton Boiler Room globally alongside DJ Playero, performed at the 2018 Sónar festival in Barcelona, and became one of the first reggaeton DJs featured at the EDC Mexico festival. Her extensive list of accomplishments includes performances alongside Ivy Queen and The Noise for RBMA, a residency at RINSE FM, and appearances at prestigious events such as Moma PS1, NY, Primavera Sound 2019, Sonic Acts, and Unsound. In 2020, Rosa Pistola expanded her musical horizons by launching her first corrido sung by Ely Quintero and introducing her UNDER MX radio show on NTS. Subsequently, she ventured into producing with renowned Latin American artists, launched an official urban sound label in 2021, and established a recording studio named "La Chekera REC." Currently hosting radio programs on Vans Channel 66 and NTS, Rosa Pistola remains dedicated to the evolution of underground reggaeton, producing music for her label, and presenting unique remixes in her DJ sets throughout 2022.
