SANOI

Originally hailing from Berlin, Sanoi aka Jonas Fischer is a producer, DJ and a key member in the electronic/dance music scene in New Zealand. He has graced the stages of many of the country’s most-loved festivals & clubs where his deeply danceable DJ sets see him move seamlessly across warm, melodic, groove-driven techno and beyond.

Sanoi has released a multitude of his own productions on a variety of respected local and European-based electronic-focussed labels, including Tube & Berger’s Zehn Records, Stil Vor Talent, Magician On Duty, Tube & Berger’s Zehn Records and New Zealand’s Beat & Path. These releases have seen Sanoi be featured on an array of digital platforms and reach Number One on various Beatport single charts.

Sanoi’s 2023 album, Echoes Of Home, saw him drawing inspiration from his homeland Germany, with a particular focus on the organic house and techno scene of Berlin. Echoes Of Home finds Sanoi challenging conventional music production norms, steering clear of familiar tropes and techniques. The result is eight carefully curated tracks with a rich tapestry of ambient layers, recorded sounds, and melodies that range from quirky and playful to nostalgic and melancholic. The finely crafted drums take centre stage, emphasising the unique groove that defines Sanoi's distinctive sound.

Constantly developing as an artist and finding expression through music are some of the key factors that drive him, whether it be in the studio or behind the decks, Sanoi has proven he’s dedicated to the craft of providing meticulous, melodic and mischievous sounds to dancers all around the world.

With his influence in the NZ electronic scene continuing to grow, the past 12 months has seen Sanoi touring across New Zealand, Australia and Europe in support of his new album. His growing reputation has seen him position himself as a must-see act for audiences, and a must-book act for promoters. Summer 2024 alone saw him playing alongside the following cross section of legends & current heavyweights –
