The Galconomist Salon is Back!

A literary salon for the intellectually curious, hosted by The Galconomist — an independent print magazine covering culture, art, fashion, and identity.

This is a night for thinking out loud, together. Each guest brings a point of view relating to the theme in the form of one piece that speaks to it — an essay, a poem, a song, a painting, a meme, a podcast, or something you made yourself — and shares it with the room. What follows is conversation: trading ideas and perspectives, a deep dive into a topic, and curating our own "feed" in real life.

This salon's theme: Play

We've optimized everything: sleep scores, step counts, sober streaks, and we've forgotten how to have fun or be silly. We want to deep dive into this topic: a philosophical take, a funny story, your take on playfulness, something fun, creative, or playful that you read, saw, or heard.

This salon feeds directly into our next print issue, so feel free to pitch your story if you have one.
