Hailing from Brooklyn and directly influenced by the greats of the golden era of hip hop, T.R.A.C's distinctive style fuses intricate lyricism with soulful melodies, earning him a spot on a diverse roster of respected dnb labels like V Recordings, Spearhead, Hospital, Shogun Audio, Liquicity and Lenzman’s The North Quarter.
It was a chance meeting with fellow genre-crossing artist DJ I-CUE that led to T.R.A.C. being featured on his first DnB tune: “Next Level $hit.". This caught the attention of Reinforced Records and 4hero pioneer Marc Mac, who put out T.R.A.C.'s first solo hip hop album, “The Network,” on Reinforced in 2011, where the jungle influences were unmistakable.
With collaborations with UK hip hop institution Lewis Parker under his belt, it was clear that T.R.A.C.’s focus had sharpened. His debut LP on V Recordings, Life in Motion, further crystallized his unique musical ethos. Featuring collaborations with heavy hitters like Lenzman, Bladerunner, Calibre, Conrad and others, the album was a nonstop soul-infused ride through T.R.A.C.’s unique and unmatched blends of hip hop, soul, and DnB.
While steady releasing dnb on the genre's most esteemed labels for over a decade, T.R.A.C. also launched his own imprint Ample Aptitude Recording, where he dropped the Sonically Speaking LP with Maverick Soul . It showcased an impeccable flow of electronic and hip hop beats in combination with soulful dnb rollers, which quickly gained praise from many well known legends including DJ Jazzy Jeff.
As a performer, T.R.A.C. is sought after for his precise lyricism, off-the-dome freestyling and well-honed hosting skills. He has a flawless sense of timing and is known to let the music breathe. We were mesmerized by his impromptu performance at Villem’s USA debut at elements in 2024! This will be his first *official* elements set and it’s not one to be missed!
DJ Golden Child, another BK native, is known for spinning a wide range of dance music from rare grooves, to disco, Brazilian music, and of course, drum & bass. It all started in the 1990s when the 1970’s sound reemerged and a fondness of his parents’ music collection and the decade’s contemporary music were causal for him to become DJ Golden Child. As Golden Child he got his first big break at Webster Hall when he was 19. Since then, Golden Child has played at some of New York’s most esteemed clubs and parades, DJing alongside a who’s who of drum & bass legends, winning awards and being invited to global festivals for his uniquely soulful and high energy take on drum & bass. In DJ Golden Child’s third decade in his craft, he’s as humbly dedicated as the day of his debut to captivate partiers with his singular style. This will be another long-awaited elements debut!
