PARKING & SHUTTLES

• Do Not Park Close to the Venue or you will be banned from our events.
• A ticket AND proof that you didn't park nearby (Uber/Lyft or free shuttle receipt) will be required for entry to the event.
• Shuttles: From 6:30pm to 3am, a free shuttle service will run every 5-10 minutes to and from a parking garage 7 minutes from the venue.
• The shuttle location, venue location and Uber/Lyft instructions will be included with your ticket.

PERFORMERS

Lorca Hart Trio (Contemporary Jazz)
Lorca Hart is an accomplished jazz drummer and educator who grew up in a musical family in Taos, New Mexico. He earned his BFA in Jazz Percussion Performance from the California Institute of the Arts, studying under renowned mentors such as Albert "Tootie" Heath and Charlie Haden. Throughout his career, Hart has collaborated with esteemed artists including Ralph Moore, Carmen Lundy, and Freddie Hubbard, and leads his own trio featuring Josh Nelson on piano and Edwin Livingston on bass. ​

Silver Bell Jazz Band with Heidi Evelyn (Early Jazz)
​Silver Bell Jazz Band has been inspiring dancers and listeners all over the Bay Area for years. They will be joined by vocalist Heidi Evelyn. The band specializes in authentic hot jazz, ragtime, swing, and dixieland from the early to mid 1900s. They’re known for their professionalism and ability to provide exactly what is needed for each unique occasion. With a timeless repertoire and style, Silver Bell Jazz Band will have everyone tapping their feet and smiling.

Ray Obiedo & Mambo Caribe (Latin Jazz)
Mambo Caribe is made up of some of the finest Jazz musicians the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer. With its heavy influence of Brazilian and Caribbean music, a traditional West Coast contemporary Latin jazz sound is always at the core of the ensemble. Guitarist/composer Ray Obiedo formed this group in 2010 to further explore his love of Latin music. His compositions are drawn from many musical influences, including the music of Cuba and Trinidad.
Mambo Caribe works with a wonderfully rich array of textures and colors, melding together all of it's musical elements for a delightfully distinct Bay Area flavor.

Traci Bartlow (Vernacular Jazz Dance)
Traci Bartlow is an Oakland-based dancer, choreographer, and cultural historian specializing in African American vernacular jazz and social dance. A former principal dancer with New York’s Nanette Bearden Contemporary Dance Theater and Forces of Nature, she blends her training in African, jazz, and hip-hop styles to create performances that honor Black dance traditions. As founder of Starchild Enterprise, she teaches, lectures, and choreographs internationally.

VidyA naturally expresses the essence of Carnatic music and jazz through a unified trio of tenor saxophone, acoustic bass and drums. Drawing on the deep musical influences and perspectives of Prasant Radhakrishnan (tenor sax), David Ewell (bass) and Sameer Gupta (drums), VidyA has been featured at venues such as SFJazz, de Young Museum, San Jose Jazz and Yoshi’s among others and have released two albums.

Joe Kelner Trio (Hard Bop)
Joe Kelner is a drummer and drum builder. Joe has had the opportunity to swing along greats such as Calvin Keys, Noel Jewkes, Dean Riley, Chris Amberger, Javier Santiago, Grant Levin, Chuchito Valdés, and countless others. Joe has studied with celebrated artists that include; Gregory Hutchinson, Allison Miller, Albert ‘Tootie’ Heath, Benny Greb, Dave King, Jeff Hamilton, and many others. Joe aims to bring jazz culture back to the days where the beatniks and beboppers were all rejoicing under the same roof, laughing, dancing, thinking, and pushing for social equity.

warble is the DJ stage name of World Jazz Jam founder oshan anand. He has been rocking dancefloors and blessing sacred spaces with his wild and wondrous musical collage skills for almost 3 decades. warble integrates diverse styles with an emphasis on post-genre electronic orchestrations influenced by dub and traditional music. Lavender Rise is a fire performer, psychiatric nurse, and retreat facilitator who harnesses the power of performance art as a modality of healing. With lilac-gray hair and teal-blue eyes, the flame is her muse as she explores themes of presence, fear, and the edges of human experience. Outside of performing, she is passionate about creating spaces for others to nurture their unique expressions, supporting their journeys toward healing and self-discovery.
