### About At The Top

At The Top is not a conventional concert or theatre venue. It is Burj Khalifa’s timed-entry observation experience, entered through the Lower Ground Floor of Dubai Mall in Downtown Dubai. The core Silver ticket covers Levels 124 and 125; Gold adds Level 148 and the SKY Lounge; Platinum reaches The Lounge across Levels 152, 153 and 154. These areas combine indoor viewing rooms, open-air terraces, multimedia exhibits and hospitality rather than a stage, fixed auditorium or general-admission floor.

Burj Khalifa was inaugurated on 4 January 2010, with the original Level 124 observatory opening to visitors on 5 January. It briefly closed in February 2010 following a lift-related power problem and reopened after approximately two months. The attraction’s next major expansion was At The Top SKY on Level 148, opened on 15 October 2014 at 555 metres and then recognised as the world’s highest observation deck. A renewed visitor experience, designed across approximately 4,277 square metres from reception to the upper exhibits, was completed in 2016.

The Lounge extended public access to Levels 152–154 in February 2019. Its highest point, 585.36 metres above ground, holds the Guinness record for the highest lounge in a building. Although a launch-era capacity of up to 100 guests was reported for The Lounge, no reliable current maximum capacity or separate dimensions for Levels 124, 125 or 148 are publicly stated. Timed ticketing, rather than a published audience capacity, controls visitor flow.

### Events and Programming

At The Top’s “programme” consists mainly of daily observation sessions, guided premium visits, hospitality packages, educational tours and seasonal sunrise openings. It does not publish a recurring concert calendar, and research from 2021 through 14 August 2026 found no verified roster of named bands, touring artists or theatrical productions booked into the observation decks. The Platinum lounge may include background or live entertainment, but it remains a sightseeing and hospitality experience rather than a performance hall.

In 2021, early-morning weekend sessions combined Level 124 sunrise viewing with a drink and breakfast treat. Summer 2022 brought a reduced UAE-resident ticket, while 2023 programming continued to emphasise the multimedia journey, telescopes and panoramic views. In 2024, At The Top was incorporated into Dubai Mall children’s summer camps, and seasonal Saturday sunrise admission ran from October 2024 into May 2026, generally opening between 5am and 6.30am with a morning treat afterwards.

During 2026, the attraction again participated in the mall’s summer camp, offered temporary UAE-resident discounts and ran a short football-themed promotion. Burj Khalifa also announced an international projection-design competition for artwork intended for its façade; that initiative concerns the tower’s exterior display rather than a performance inside At The Top. No continuing programme for 2027 or later had been publicly announced by 14 August 2026.

### Tickets and Booking

Tickets are sold for a specific date and entry time through the attraction’s official booking operation and at the Lower Ground ticket counter. There are no traditional concert presales or show on-sale dates: visitors select an available sightseeing slot from a rolling calendar. Advance booking is strongly recommended for sunsets, weekends, school holidays, winter tourism season and major Downtown Dubai celebrations.

As a planning guide, standard 2026 prices were approximately AED 189 for Silver, AED 399 for Gold and AED 769 for Platinum, although peak periods, packages and resident promotions can change the amount substantially. Silver includes Levels 124–125 and the outdoor terrace. Gold adds Level 148, priority access, a multilingual guided element and refreshments. Platinum adds fast-track access to all public observation levels, The Lounge, canapés, high tea and selected beverages.

Tickets are valid only for the printed date and time. Current conditions permit cancellation requests up to 24 hours before the visit, but not within the final 24 hours. Children under three enter free, while guests aged 16 or younger must remain with an adult. A child ticket cannot normally be purchased on its own. Temporary promotional prices may require proof of UAE residency or another qualifying identity document.

### Seating and Layout

There is no assigned seating chart. Levels 124 and 125 are predominantly standing and circulating spaces. Level 124 contains viewing telescopes and an outdoor terrace; Level 125 is a larger indoor deck with 360-degree views and decorative Arabic mashrabiya motifs. Most visitors move constantly between windows, displays and photography points, so this is closer to a gallery layout than an auditorium.

Gold guests visit Level 148, where the smaller SKY Lounge provides soft seating, refreshments, interactive touchpoints and another outdoor terrace. Time on Level 148 is normally limited to about 30 minutes before guests continue to Levels 124 and 125. Platinum uses lounge-style seating across Levels 152–154; the original design included majlis-inspired coffee tables, couches and higher cocktail tables, with an outdoor terrace on Level 152.

For clearer long-distance viewing, choose a bright morning with low haze. Sunset offers both daylight and city lights but attracts the strongest demand. At night, the outdoor terraces reduce reflections that can affect photographs taken through glass. Level 148 is usually the best balance of height and relative calm; Platinum is intended for visitors who value seating and hospitality more than a radically different skyline angle.

### Architecture, Design and Technical Features

Burj Khalifa’s architecture was led by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Its Y-shaped, triple-lobed plan draws on Islamic geometry and the Hymenocallis flower, while setbacks reduce wind forces as the tower rises to 828 metres. Public interiors use glass, stainless steel, polished dark stone, silver travertine and Venetian stucco. The observation experience adds local identity through Level 125’s mashrabiya detailing.

The ascent is deliberately theatrical. Visitors pass an illuminated tower model, monumental LED fields and an immersive video tunnel before entering multimedia lift cabins. The lifts travel at up to 10 metres per second, with double-deck cabins designed for approximately 12–14 people. Digital Tellscope units can show the live cityscape alongside clearer-weather, night-time and historical views, helping when dust or haze obscures distant landmarks.

Because At The Top is not designed as a performance room, no conventional production specification is published for a house PA, mixing desk, stage lighting, rigging grid, loading dock or backline. Sound and lighting are integrated into the visitor exhibits, lift presentations and ambient lounge environment. Private-event enquiries may be considered within Burj Khalifa, but organisers should not assume that At The Top has the technical infrastructure of Dubai Opera or a purpose-built ballroom.

### Getting There and Parking

The visitor entrance is Unit LG-089 on Dubai Mall’s Lower Ground Floor, not the residential, hotel or office entrance at the base of Burj Khalifa. Inside the mall, follow the burgundy At The Top signs towards the attraction’s welcome area. Allow extra walking time: reaching the entrance from a distant car park, taxi point or Metro platform can take 15–25 minutes in this exceptionally large complex.

By Metro, take the Red Line to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station, coded R25. An air-conditioned link bridge connects the station to Level 2 of the mall near Fashion Catwalk. Continue through the mall and descend to Lower Ground. The F13 feeder bus also circulates between the Metro area, Dubai Mall, Dubai Fountain Street and nearby Downtown stops.

Drivers should follow signs from Sheikh Zayed Road towards Financial Centre Road and Dubai Mall. P1 Fashion Parking is the closest officially recommended area for At The Top. Grand, Cinema and Fashion parking provide four free hours Monday–Thursday and six free hours Friday–Sunday; subsequent flat charges begin around AED 20 on weekdays and AED 80 at weekends. Zabeel and Fountain Views parking are exempt from these charges but require a longer walk.

For taxis and app-based cars, P1 Fashion Parking is a useful drop-off point. Pick-up areas include Lower Ground near du, P4 Fashion Lobby, P3 Cinema Parking and P3 Zabeel. At busy evening periods, selecting a clearly named car park lobby is easier than requesting collection simply from “Burj Khalifa”.

### Inside the Venue

Entry includes ticket validation, queueing and security checks before the multimedia approach to the lifts. Personal handbags and purses are accepted, but backpacks, shopping bags, sports bags, large luggage, strollers and buggies must be left at the luggage room near the entrance. Sharp objects and certain larger electronic equipment may also be held. There is no conventional coat check, so travel light.

Outside food and drink are prohibited. Refreshments are sold at ground level and on Level 124, while Gold and Platinum tickets include varying levels of hospitality. Free Wi-Fi is available, along with souvenir retail and staffed green-screen photo kiosks. Personal phone photography is expected, but professional or commercial photography requires separate permission.

There is no merchandise stand tied to performers, but the gift shops carry Burj Khalifa souvenirs. Restroom locations within the observation levels are not consistently published, so families and visitors with medical needs should use Dubai Mall facilities before joining the entry queue and ask staff about the nearest facilities once upstairs.

### Nearby Amenities

Dubai Mall provides more than 200 dining options, from quick food-court meals to full-service restaurants. For a meal connected directly to the tower, At.mosphere occupies Level 122 but requires a separate restaurant reservation and entrance. The Burj Club Rooftop offers outdoor dining with tower views, while Armani Hotel Dubai contains several premium restaurants.

Across the lake, Souk Al Bahar combines restaurants, cafés and a multi-restaurant food hall with views towards Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain. The fountain reopened on 1 October 2025 after the first phase of renovation, with afternoon performances and half-hourly evening shows; schedules can change for maintenance, Ramadan or special events.

Nearby hotels include Armani Hotel Dubai inside Burj Khalifa, Address Downtown, Palace Downtown and Address Sky View. Stay within Downtown Dubai if you want to avoid late-night road congestion after a fountain show or major celebration. Metro closing times vary by day and occasion, so taxis are the more dependable late-night fallback.

### Accessibility and Inclusive Facilities

The US Americans with Disabilities Act does not govern a Dubai attraction, so “ADA compliant” is not the applicable designation. The operator states that the entire At The Top experience is wheelchair accessible. Smooth mall routes, ramps, spacious lifts and low-reaching glass provide practical access to the viewing areas, and staff may assist guests who cannot remain in a long queue.

Dubai Mall lends wheelchairs through its concierge desks and provides a priority queue for People of Determination and senior citizens at designated transport points. Eligible citizens and residents are exempt from standard mall parking charges. Working service animals are not allowed on the At The Top tour, so visitors who rely on an assistance animal should address this restriction before committing to a ticket.

No dependable public specification was found for hearing loops, tactile interpretation, sign-language tours, sensory sessions or audio description. Visitors requiring these services should not assume availability. Expect dim multimedia areas, fast lift movement, crowds and changing light levels during the journey.

### What Makes This Venue Special

At The Top makes Burj Khalifa publicly understandable. It does more than deliver a high view: its exhibits connect the tower’s engineering with Dubai’s rapid urban transformation, using historical imagery, digital interpretation and a deliberately cinematic ascent. School tours use the attraction to discuss architecture and the effect Burj Khalifa had on both Dubai and global skyscraper design.

The attraction recorded more than 1.87 million visitors in 2013, and its exhibition designer has subsequently described a daily audience exceeding 5,000. It sits inside Dubai Mall, which now welcomes more than 100 million visits annually, making the tower and observation decks major anchors for Downtown Dubai’s hotels, restaurants, retail and transport network. No verified study isolates At The Top’s exact economic contribution, but its role in the district’s visitor economy is substantial.

Recent visitor experiences remain mixed in one predictable way: the views, sense of scale and hospitality receive strong praise, while peak-period queues, haze, window reflections and slow descents generate criticism. Some 2025–2026 guests considered Gold worthwhile for quieter viewing and priority access; others found the premium unnecessary during uncrowded periods. The safest strategy is an early weekday booking with realistic time allowed for both ascent and descent.

### Visitor Tips and Information

Arrive at Dubai Mall at least 30–45 minutes before the printed time, and earlier if travelling by Metro or parking in Zabeel. Do not schedule a fixed dinner, airport transfer or another timed attraction immediately afterwards: the average visit is about 90 minutes, but queues can turn a busy session into a three-hour or longer commitment.

Wear respectful clothing suitable for Dubai Mall, with shoulders and knees covered; smart casual dress is recommended for premium lounge experiences. Bring a charged phone, but leave bulky bags and tripods behind. Expect outdoor terraces to close temporarily during high winds or other unsafe weather. Poor visibility does not normally create an automatic refund or rain check.

Pregnant visitors may use the standard observation decks, but the optional virtual-reality experience is unsuitable for pregnancy and for people with heart conditions, vertigo or dizziness. Families should leave strollers at the luggage counter and consider a carrier for infants, particularly because descent queues can be tiring.

### Frequently Asked Questions

#### Is At The Top still open in 2026?

Yes. At The Top remains open and trades under that name. The published 2026 schedule generally lists Silver admission from 10am to 8pm, with last entry at 7pm, while Gold and Platinum have a 6pm last entry. Seasonal sunrise sessions and special-event hours can fall outside that timetable, and operating hours may change during holidays.

#### Does At The Top take you to the actual top of Burj Khalifa?

No. Burj Khalifa reaches 828 metres, but its highest public experience is The Lounge on Levels 152–154 at approximately 585 metres. Silver visitors reach Levels 124–125, while Gold reaches Level 148. The spire and upper mechanical sections are not open to sightseeing visitors, despite the attraction’s memorable “At The Top” name.

#### Which At The Top ticket is best for a first visit?

Silver is sufficient if your priority is the classic city view and outdoor terrace. Gold suits visitors who dislike crowds, want priority access or value a smaller lounge. Platinum is primarily a luxury hospitality experience with seating, food and beverages. Height alone should not decide: the difference in atmosphere and queue handling is often more noticeable than the change in view.

#### How long can I stay at At The Top?

A typical Silver visit takes about 90 minutes, although there is generally flexibility on Levels 124 and 125 once you arrive. Gold guests normally receive around 30 minutes on Level 148 before continuing to the lower decks. Platinum sessions are structured around lounge service. Queues can add substantial time, particularly at sunset, weekends and during major holidays.

#### What is the clearest time to see Dubai from Burj Khalifa?

Early morning usually provides the best combination of lower crowd levels and reduced window glare, but atmospheric haze is unpredictable. Winter mornings often offer better long-distance visibility than humid summer afternoons. Check the skyline before travelling if views matter more than timing. No ticket guarantees visibility, and the operator does not normally refund guests because distant landmarks are obscured.

#### Is sunset at At The Top worth the higher price?

Sunset lets you see Dubai in daylight, golden hour and after dark during one visit, making it the most visually varied slot. It is also the busiest period, with more competition at windows and potentially longer lift queues. Book well ahead, arrive early and remember that haze or waiting time can cause you to miss the precise moment the sun disappears.

#### Can I buy At The Top tickets at the door?

Yes, the attraction has a ticket counter on Dubai Mall’s Lower Ground Floor. Door sales depend on remaining timed capacity, however, and popular sunset or holiday slots may be unavailable. Buying in advance also gives you more time to compare Silver, Gold and Platinum inclusions. Walk-up purchase is most realistic on an ordinary weekday morning or early afternoon.

#### Are babies and children allowed?

At The Top is an all-ages attraction. Children under three are admitted free, and guests aged 16 or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Child tickets must be purchased with an adult ticket. Strollers cannot be taken through the experience and must be stored near the entrance, so a suitable baby carrier can make queues and lift transfers easier.

#### Can wheelchair users visit every observation level?

The operator describes the entire experience as wheelchair accessible, including the observation decks and high-speed lifts. The approach through Dubai Mall is level and spacious, and low glass panels preserve the view from a seated position. Wheelchairs can be borrowed at mall concierge desks. Visitors needing queue assistance should identify themselves to staff before entering the main holding area.

#### Are backpacks, shopping bags and strollers allowed?

Small personal handbags and purses are accepted. Backpacks, sports bags, shopping bags, luggage, strollers and buggies must be stored in the luggage room near the entrance. Sharp objects and some bulky electronics are also restricted. Storage adds another step before and after the visit, so avoid arriving directly after a large shopping trip if possible.

#### Can I take photographs and video?

Ordinary personal photography with a phone or small camera is permitted, and outdoor terraces are particularly useful after dark because they avoid glass reflections. Professional or commercial shoots are not included with standard admission. Large equipment may be refused or stored at the entrance. The attraction also operates paid photo kiosks using digital backgrounds and offers prints on souvenir products.

#### Can I bring water or snacks?

No outside food or drink is allowed. A café is available at ground level, and refreshments are sold on Level 124. Gold includes Arabic coffee, sweets and soft drinks, while Platinum adds more extensive food and beverage service. Visitors with medically necessary items should raise the requirement before security rather than assuming an exception will be granted.

#### How far is At The Top from the Metro station?

Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station is connected to the mall by an air-conditioned pedestrian bridge, but it is not directly beside the attraction entrance. Allow approximately 15–25 minutes to walk from the platform, cross the bridge, navigate the mall and reach Lower Ground. Add more time for children, wheelchairs, busy evenings or unfamiliarity with the mall’s layout.

#### Where should I park for the shortest walk?

P1 Fashion Parking is the recommended area for At The Top and leads conveniently towards the Lower Ground entrance. Fashion Parking is part of Dubai Mall’s paid parking system after the free allowance. Zabeel and Fountain Views parking remain free but are farther away, making them better suited to visitors who prioritise cost over the shortest indoor walk.

#### Can I watch Dubai Fountain from At The Top?

Yes, Burj Lake and Dubai Fountain can be seen from the observation levels, although the display appears small from more than 450 metres above ground. The fountain reopened on 1 October 2025 after renovation. For choreography, music and scale, watching from the lake promenade or Souk Al Bahar is more immersive; the tower view is better for understanding the show’s setting.

#### What happens if the weather is poor?

The indoor viewing areas normally remain available, but outdoor terraces may close during unsafe wind or weather conditions. Dust, haze and humidity can substantially reduce visibility without closing the attraction. Tickets are not normally refunded or exchanged solely because the view is unclear. The augmented-reality telescopes can show alternative clear-weather, historical and night-time imagery when the live skyline is obscured.

#### Is there a dress code?

Dubai Mall asks visitors to wear respectful clothing, generally covering shoulders and knees. Comfortable shoes are sensible because the visit involves long indoor walks and periods of standing. Standard observation admission does not require formal clothing, but smart casual dress is recommended for Gold and Platinum lounge experiences. Avoid beachwear, offensive slogans and clothing likely to cause difficulty during security screening.
