1922 E 7th Pl

Los Angeles

Events and Programming

1922 E 7th Pl is best understood as a flexible creative venue rather than a conventional theater with a permanent season, fixed seating chart or single long-term operator. The address currently houses Slide Thru The Venue, a music event venue and production studio focused on emerging artists, indie concerts, album-listening events, showcases, private events and photo or video production. Public event listings also identify the site by its address, so some shows may appear without the venue name attached.

The most clearly documented current programming is rooted in hip-hop, rap, alternative R&B, electronic music and independent live performance. A confirmed 2026 calendar has included U SLID? Vol. 4 on March 7, U SLID? Vol. 5 on May 9, DA REALEST FEST on July 3, and AUG FEST on August 1. AUG FEST combined live music with a car meet, clothing vendors, food, a bar and rooftop access. A Boston 2 LA showcase on August 22 brought together Boston and Los Angeles hip-hop, lo-fi, R&B and alternative performers.

As of September 1, 2026, a publicly indexed listing identifies an underground hip-hop night headlined by Seventhirtyatmorning on September 13, with support from Luvzir, Midnightatnine, Galore4eva, Cigxrtte and Johnnyostrum. Earlier 2026 listings also announced a Los Angeles show by dedwrite on April 17. No verified 2027 or later event announcements were found in the public record reviewed for this guide, so future programming should be treated as unannounced rather than assumed.

The address had a particularly active art-and-nightlife identity during its period as Mirus Gallery Los Angeles. Its January 2022 sneak preview presented live painting, music, a metaverse art component and work by a large group of contemporary artists. The gallery then hosted NYCHOS: The Awakening, an immersive exhibition combining paintings, sculpture, projections and interactive technology. The exhibition ran from February 22 through May 1, 2022, with timed admission and prices starting at $22.22.

Other documented Mirus-era events included a late-night Los Angeles Art Show after-party, Nychos at Night with cocktails and music, the free Locals Only exhibition featuring more than 60 Los Angeles artists, the $5 Happy Hour art event, the electronic-music night Ancient Future, We Luv House, We Luv Techno and the club-oriented Shibumi Soulstice party. The latter combined DJs, live performers, dancing and gallery viewing, illustrating how the building has been used to merge visual art with nightlife rather than separate the two formats.

Creative Resilience, held at the address in October 2022, added a community-art and public-programming dimension. It presented more than 100 works by over 50 visual artists, musical performances, workshops and a Mutual Aid Expo focused on BIPOC Angeleno workers, solidarity and economic hardship before and after the pandemic. Quetzal performed in connection with the exhibition. This is one of the strongest examples of the site being used for civic and culturally focused programming rather than only ticketed nightlife.

Later public listings show the address continuing to attract independent music and community events. Documented examples include luti meir in August 2025, Den Music Fest in November 2025, a December 2025 showcase featuring Slayr, EzCodyLee, Ninexteen and Remi Zerxes, and a variety of 2026 underground showcases and festivals. The searchable public record is fragmented, however, and private rentals, unadvertised shoots and events promoted only through short-lived social posts cannot be verified as a complete calendar.

Tickets and Booking

There is no single permanent box office for 1922 E 7th Pl. Tickets are normally sold by the individual promoter or artist, with the method, fees, age requirement, door time and refund terms changing from event to event. The safest approach is to check the current event listing beside this guide and confirm whether admission is advance purchase, RSVP-based, door-only or a combination of the three.

Published examples show a broad range of pricing. Some gallery receptions and dance nights were free with RSVP. Documented paid events included $5 admission, approximately $20 advance tickets, $25 admission, $50 open-bar tickets, $10 door admission for AUG FEST and a $15 presale with $20 door admission for the Boston 2 LA showcase. A realistic historical range for public events is therefore free to roughly $50 before fees, with larger packages, alcohol options and private-event pricing handled separately.

Popular independent shows are likely to have limited capacity because the event footprint is much smaller than the overall industrial building. Buy early when advance tickets are offered, save the confirmation on your phone, and arrive before the advertised start if you want a clear sightline near the stage. For RSVP events, being on the list may not guarantee immediate entry once the room reaches its event-specific limit.

Slide Thru also accepts bookings for concerts, shows, private events, photo productions and video productions. Its published booking terms state that event rentals require a four-hour minimum, production bookings require a three-hour minimum, and a 50 percent nonrefundable deposit is required to secure an event date, with the remaining balance due before the booking begins. A separate rental listing described hourly rates of approximately $175 to $230, but private rental pricing can change and should not be treated as a ticket price.

About 1922 E 7th Pl

The property is a two-story masonry industrial building constructed in 1925. Real-estate materials describe approximately 39,000 square feet across the building, with an 11,200-square-foot ground-floor warehouse and a similar amount of second-floor creative-office space available at different times. The building has about 14-foot ceilings, polished concrete floors, exterior loading docks, six offices, three restrooms, full HVAC, sprinklers, 200-amp electrical service and a gated outdoor area.

The event venue occupies only part of that larger property. Slide Thru describes its event footprint as a roughly 2,500-square-foot multipurpose creative space, while the rest of the address contains other units or commercial uses. This explains why online listings sometimes show different floor areas and why the address should not be assumed to represent a single auditorium. A 2025 city business listing also shows multiple occupants or units at 1922 E 7th Pl.

The building’s documented history begins with industrial use. A pre-1976 concrete-building inventory classifies the address as industrial, and a 2019 city business record listed Best/Hillyard at the property. In 2022, Mirus Gallery opened a Los Angeles location at the address, describing it as an approximately 11,000-square-foot exhibition space. Mirus’s current materials say its Los Angeles operation is transitioning to a new location, while Slide Thru’s current business identity is tied to Unit 5 at 1922 E 7th Pl.

There is no verified evidence that the building is a designated historic landmark or that it was purpose-built as a theater. Its importance comes from adaptive reuse: an older industrial shell has supported gallery exhibitions, nightlife, live music, creative production and community gatherings in one of the most rapidly changing parts of Downtown Los Angeles.

Seating and Layout

Slide Thru is primarily an open-floor, standing event space. The venue advertises a performance stage and a large open area in front of it, making the room suitable for concerts, showcases, listening parties, festivals and dance-oriented events. Fixed theater seating, permanent balcony seating and a published auditorium seat count have not been verified.

Most music events should be approached as general admission unless the individual event explicitly sells tables, reserved seating or VIP packages. The best place for an energetic live-music experience is usually near the center of the open floor, while the back or side areas may be more comfortable for conversation, photography or easier movement. For visual productions and immersive events, the strongest position can depend on where the projector, screen, installation or photo set is placed.

Past Mirus events advertised VIP tables, but that does not establish a permanent VIP section at the current venue. Seating, tables, barricades, merchandise areas and bar placement can all change with the promoter’s floor plan. Ask the event organizer about chairs or accessible seating before purchasing if standing for several hours is difficult.

Acoustically, the venue is an industrial warehouse-style room with high ceilings and hard surfaces. That can provide energy and volume for amplified music but may also create reflections when the room is lightly occupied. The final sound depends on the show’s production crew, speaker placement, audience size and temporary treatment.

Getting There and Parking

The address is 1922 E 7th Pl, Los Angeles, California 90021, in the Arts District east of the traditional Downtown core. Property materials place it one block south of 7th Street and approximately half a block west of Mateo Street. Some venue booking material displays ZIP code 90012, but the property, city records and event listings consistently identify the location as 90021. Use the full street address and confirm the unit, especially for private bookings.

Driving is possible, but parking conditions depend on the event. Property materials describe on-site parking, ample shared parking and a gated outdoor area. A venue rental listing also described free parking in front of the building. These statements relate to specific property or booking arrangements rather than a guaranteed public parking policy for every concert. Do not assume a reserved space, free admission to the lot or overnight parking unless the event organizer confirms it.

Street parking may be available on nearby blocks, but spaces can be limited during busy Arts District evenings. Read posted signs carefully, allow extra time to walk from a legal space, and avoid blocking loading areas or neighboring driveways. For late-night events, rideshare is often the simplest option. Use the venue entrance on E 7th Pl as the drop-off reference and follow any event-specific instructions from security or the promoter.

The nearest major rail connection is the Little Tokyo/Arts District station, served by Metro’s A and E Lines at 1st Street and Central Avenue. From there, visitors walk south and west through the Arts District toward Mateo Street and E 7th Pl. Metro also operates bus service through the 7th Street corridor, including routes serving Downtown and the Eastside. Check the day’s service alerts before leaving because rail works, street closures and event traffic can affect the walking route.

Inside the Venue

The current Slide Thru description presents the space as a hybrid event venue and production studio. Confirmed features include a performance stage, professional speakers, projector, TV monitor or smart TV, green room, custom event lighting, roof access and a large open event area. Production-oriented sets include a cyclorama wall, foil room, fuzz room, basketball hoop, nostalgia wall and mini-golf set. These features make the venue particularly adaptable for album releases, music videos, photo shoots and multimedia events.

A published rental listing describes projector connectivity through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB, high-speed Wi-Fi, bathrooms, natural light and optional use of additional production rooms. It also lists professional sound reinforcement as an add-on rather than promising the same system for every event. The venue’s public materials do not identify a permanent speaker brand, mixing console, microphone inventory, lighting manufacturer, stage dimensions, rigging load, projector brightness or channel list.

Entry procedures are event-specific. Expect an ID check for age-restricted programming, a ticket or RSVP check, and possible security screening. Past events have included 18+, 21+, all-ages and free public programs, so never infer the age policy from the venue name alone. A 2022 event required proof of vaccination, but that was a period-specific rule and should not be treated as a current universal requirement.

Food and drink arrangements also vary. Past events have offered full bars, cocktails, open-bar tickets, food vendors and rooftop access. These services are not guaranteed at every concert. Merchandise may be available when an artist or promoter brings a table, but no permanent merchandise shop or coat check has been verified.

Nearby Amenities

The Arts District is well suited to a dinner-before-the-show plan, but reservations are sensible on Friday and Saturday nights. Property marketing identifies nearby destinations including Bestia, Pizzanista, Bread Lounge, Guerilla Tacos and Soho House, along with other restaurants, cafes and bars around Mateo Street, Santa Fe Avenue and 7th Street. Allow enough time for a meal, parking and the walk to the venue rather than arriving at the advertised show time.

For drinks after a performance, the immediate Arts District and nearby Downtown neighborhoods provide bars and late-night restaurants, but closing times vary. A venue event that ends around midnight or 2 a.m. may outlast nearby kitchens. Rideshare pickup can become slower after a large event, so move to a well-lit pickup point and confirm the vehicle before entering.

Several Downtown hotels are within a short rideshare trip, while Little Tokyo, South Park and the broader Financial District offer additional lodging. Because the venue is a commercial warehouse rather than a hotel district destination, visitors staying overnight should plan their return route before the show begins.

What Makes This Venue Special

1922 E 7th Pl stands out because it can shift between gallery, nightclub, concert room, production studio and community gathering space. During the Mirus period, audiences could view large-scale contemporary art while attending electronic-music nights, opening receptions and immersive installations. Under Slide Thru, the emphasis has moved toward emerging artists, independent music and a more intimate, creator-led environment.

The owners describe Slide Thru as a place intended to feel comfortable and community-oriented, created partly in response to larger Los Angeles venues that felt expensive or impersonal. Their stated focus is to support peers, bring people together and provide a home for ideas from the emerging creative scene. That positioning is consistent with the venue’s documented bookings: local artist exhibitions, independent showcases, album events, underground rap, alternative R&B, DJ nights and community-centered festivals.

The address also reflects the Arts District’s broader cultural shift. A 1925 industrial building now supports visual art, nightlife, music, fashion, film production and small creative businesses. No reliable source quantifies the site’s employment, tax or neighborhood spending impact, so its economic contribution should be described qualitatively: it creates a platform for local promoters, artists, vendors, photographers, designers and production workers while adding foot traffic to the surrounding Arts District.

Visitor Tips and Information

Check the individual event’s age rule, door time, ticket type, photography policy and smoking instructions before attending. The venue itself has hosted all-ages gallery events, 18-plus festivals and 21-plus nightlife programs. One 2026 festival listing permitted smoking only on the rooftop and prohibited smoking inside, but that is an event-specific rule rather than a confirmed policy for every booking.

Wear comfortable shoes for standing events and bring a light layer because warehouse temperatures can change as the room fills. Carry a valid photo ID for age-restricted shows. Avoid bringing large bags, outside alcohol, weapons or prohibited items; the exact bag and security policy should come from the event organizer because a single permanent policy has not been publicly verified.

Public materials confirm bathrooms, but they do not publish a full ADA access statement, entrance measurements, accessible seating map, restroom details or accommodations procedure. Visitors who need step-free access, seating, captioning, assistance animals or other accommodations should confirm those arrangements with the promoter before buying a ticket. Do not assume that an industrial building’s recent renovation means every event layout will provide the same access.

Arriving 30 to 45 minutes before the listed performance time is a practical target for ticketed shows. Arrive earlier for RSVP events, limited-capacity showcases, festivals or popular local artists. Because the address includes multiple units and commercial tenants, look for the event entrance rather than assuming every doorway on the block serves the show.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is 1922 E 7th Pl in Los Angeles?

1922 E 7th Pl is a converted industrial property in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District. Its current event identity is Slide Thru The Venue, a flexible music venue and production studio in Unit 5. The wider address includes multiple commercial units, so it is not a single-purpose theater or auditorium with one permanent public entrance.

What kind of events happen at 1922 E 7th Pl?

Programming includes indie concerts, hip-hop and rap showcases, alternative R&B, DJ nights, album-listening events, art receptions, festivals, rooftop gatherings and creative productions. The address previously hosted Mirus Gallery exhibitions and art parties, including immersive installations and community arts programming. Private events, music videos and photography productions are also part of the venue’s business.

Is Slide Thru The Venue the same place as 1922 E 7th Pl?

Yes. Slide Thru The Venue identifies its booking location as Unit 5 at 1922 E 7th Pl. Some event listings use only the street address, while older listings identify the same property as Mirus Gallery Los Angeles. Because the building contains multiple units and tenants, check the event instructions for the correct entrance and unit before arriving.

What is the capacity of 1922 E 7th Pl?

No authoritative public source reviewed for this guide provides a legal concert capacity for Slide Thru. The venue’s event footprint is described as approximately 2,500 square feet, while the larger property contains about 11,200 square feet of ground-floor warehouse space. Those measurements are not equivalent to a permitted audience capacity, which can vary by layout and event type.

Does 1922 E 7th Pl have assigned seating?

The venue is primarily an open-floor space with a performance stage, so most concerts are expected to be general admission and standing. Seating, tables or VIP areas may be added for a specific event. Mirus-era listings advertised VIP tables for some nightlife events, but no permanent reserved-seat map or fixed VIP section has been verified for the current venue.

How much do tickets usually cost?

Historical listings range from free RSVP events and $5 admission to approximately $20–$25 advance tickets, $10 door admission and $50 open-bar packages. A recent showcase advertised $15 presale and $20 door entry. Prices depend on the promoter, artist, age policy, included drinks and whether the event is a concert, festival, gallery party or private production.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Sometimes. Past events have offered door admission, while others used RSVP lists, timed tickets or advance-only sales. Door availability can end when the room reaches its event-specific limit, and door pricing is often higher than presale pricing. Check the current event information before traveling rather than assuming tickets will be available at the entrance.

Is 1922 E 7th Pl all ages?

There is no single venue-wide age policy. The address has hosted all-ages art receptions, 18-plus festivals and 21-plus nightlife events. Age requirements are set by the promoter and may include ID checks even for guests who look over the minimum age. Read the event listing carefully and bring government-issued photo identification when required.

Does the venue have a bar?

Some events have included a full bar, cocktails, open-bar tickets or drinks for purchase, but bar service is not confirmed for every booking. Food vendors have also appeared at certain festivals. Because Slide Thru is a rental and event space, concessions depend on the promoter, licensing arrangements and the type of event scheduled that night.

Is there parking at 1922 E 7th Pl?

Property information describes on-site and shared parking, a gated outdoor area and ample parking connected with the building. A rental listing has also described free parking in front. Availability, cost and access can change with each event, so do not assume that parking is reserved or free unless the specific organizer confirms it.

What is the nearest Metro station?

The Little Tokyo/Arts District station, served by Metro’s A and E Lines, is the most useful rail connection for the Arts District. It is located at 1st Street and Central Avenue. From there, visitors walk south and west toward Mateo Street and E 7th Pl. Travel time varies with pace, traffic controls and the event entrance.

Can I use rideshare to get there?

Yes. Enter 1922 E 7th Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90021 as the destination and use E 7th Pl as the drop-off reference. For pickup after a late show, move away from the busiest doorway and confirm the vehicle’s license plate. Event traffic, neighboring businesses and loading activity may make the curb directly outside difficult to use.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Public materials reviewed confirm bathrooms and a ground-floor event area but do not publish a complete ADA statement, accessible seating plan, entrance measurements or restroom specifications. Visitors needing step-free entry, seating or other accommodations should confirm details with the event organizer before purchase. Accessibility may depend on the specific unit, entrance and temporary event layout.

Does the venue have a rooftop?

Yes, roof access is listed as a venue feature, and several event listings describe rooftop use or skyline views. Access may be restricted to certain bookings, and smoking rules can differ by event. One 2026 festival listing designated the rooftop as the smoking area while prohibiting smoking indoors. Do not assume rooftop access is included with every ticket.

What production equipment is available?

Slide Thru lists professional speakers, a projector, TV monitor or smart TV, custom lighting, a performance stage, green room and Wi-Fi. Production sets include a cyclorama wall, foil room, fuzzy set, basketball hoop, nostalgia wall and mini-golf area. The exact PA, lighting inventory, stage dimensions and technical labor vary by booking and are not publicly itemized.

When should I arrive for a show?

Arriving 30 to 45 minutes before the advertised performance time is sensible for a normal ticketed event. Arrive earlier for RSVP parties, festivals, limited-capacity showcases and popular artists. Add more time if driving, searching for parking or dining nearby. If the event lists a separate door time, use that as the arrival target.

What is the building’s history?

The masonry building dates to approximately 1925 and was originally associated with industrial use. It later became part of the Arts District’s creative-office and gallery ecosystem. Mirus Gallery opened a Los Angeles location there in 2022, presenting exhibitions and nightlife events. Slide Thru subsequently established its music and production-venue identity at the property.

Are there hotels near 1922 E 7th Pl?

Yes. Downtown Los Angeles, Little Tokyo and South Park provide hotel options within a short rideshare trip, although the immediate address is in a warehouse and creative-commercial zone rather than a hotel district. For shows ending late, choose lodging with a straightforward rideshare route and arrange the return trip before the event, especially on festival nights.
