Cool Vibes On The Beach

St. Pete Beach

Events and Programming

Cool Vibes On The Beach is a restaurant, bar and entertainment venue at 6800 Sunset Way in St. Pete Beach. Its programming is built around accessible nightlife rather than a traditional concert-hall calendar: live music, karaoke, open jam sessions, music bingo, comedy, themed parties, workshops and occasional ticketed touring shows all share the same large room. The venue is positioned near Upham Beach and the Gulf Winds Resort, but it is an indoor bar-and-grill setting rather than an outdoor beach concert site.

The available event record begins in 2025, after the St. Pete Beach location opened. There is no reliable Cool Vibes On The Beach event history for 2021 through 2024; those years predate the venue’s documented opening. In 2025, public listings identified Friday karaoke, Monday karaoke, Wednesday open jam nights with Beach Bum Barry, live music and recurring late-night entertainment. The venue’s programming was designed to continue the format of the original Cool Vibes Pub & Grub location while adding a larger room and a beach-town setting.

Recurring programming documented for 2026 includes Monday-night BANDINGO music bingo at 9 p.m., hosted with DJ KK. The format combines recognizable songs across multiple decades with bingo cards, prizes and a social game-show atmosphere. It is promoted as free to play, although visitors should distinguish the game itself from any separate admission requirements attached to a special event.

The venue also books LGBTQ+ community events and cause-related gatherings. The 2025 Black Veil Ball brought queer art, drag, burlesque, fire performances, DJs, costumes and fundraising for a mental-health program. A 2026 “Sandy Feet Late Night Beat” event was promoted as an after-beach gathering supporting Girls Rock St. Pete, showing that the space can function as a community event room as well as a nightlife venue.

Ticketed entertainment announced or listed for 2026 has included touring adult-themed shows such as Magic Hunks and a women’s burlesque revue, as well as a Pink Floyd tribute appearance listed under Floyd Nation. Other programming includes a Gulf Coast Vibes resin cutting-board workshop. Taken together, the listings suggest a venue comfortable with tribute shows, interactive nightlife, comedy or variety entertainment, adult-only productions, creative workshops and local social events rather than one fixed musical genre.

Prices vary substantially by event. Recurring karaoke, open jams and music bingo are generally promoted as no-ticket or low-barrier activities, while ticketed shows have advertised early-bird general admission around $27.50, day-of-show admission around $33, group pricing near $22.91 per person for a six-ticket package, and some touring shows starting around $11.95. These figures are examples from individual listings, not a permanent venue rate card. ticketfairy.com

Tickets and Booking

There is no published permanent box-office schedule or general venue ticket office information in the sources reviewed. Most ticketed events appear to be sold in advance through the individual event organizer, with event-specific pricing, age limits, entry times, VIP upgrades and refund rules. For recurring activities such as karaoke, open jam and music bingo, the event listing may provide all the information needed because admission is often not structured like a conventional concert ticket.

For popular shows, buying during the early-release period is the clearest way to reduce cost and secure admission. Some event listings specifically warn that day-of-show prices rise, while others offer group packages or front-row and VIP upgrades. Arriving before the stated door time is particularly important for reserved or premium packages; one 2026 show instructed VIP and front-row guests to arrive at least 30 minutes before showtime. ticketfairy.com

Read the individual event rules carefully before purchasing. Adult shows have used 18+ or 21+ restrictions, one performance prohibited photography and video during the show, and several listings stated that sales were final except in the event of cancellation. Those conditions should not automatically be applied to ordinary restaurant visits, karaoke nights or other events.

About Cool Vibes On The Beach

Cool Vibes On The Beach is the St. Pete Beach outpost of a locally established Cool Vibes Pub & Grub business. The corporation connected with the venue was filed in Florida on January 24, 2025, with Jessica O’Connell and Jessica Gray listed as principals. Local reporting announced the new location in January 2025, and a neighborhood newspaper recorded the restaurant’s opening on April 12, 2025.

The venue occupies the former RockHouse Live space at 6800 Sunset Way, in front of the bright pink Gulf Winds Resort. State business records show several earlier entities registered at the address, including RockHouse Live Tampa Bay, but the available sources do not establish a complete operating history for every prior concept. The clearest documented predecessor is RockHouse Live, which later relocated its Gulf Coast operation after hurricane damage and changing conditions.

Commercial property information describes the building as a one-story, approximately 8,964-square-foot restaurant or bar property. The launch coverage described the venue as nearly 9,000 square feet and projected seating for roughly 200 to 300 diners. That figure is a reported dining capacity estimate, not a published fire-code occupancy number or confirmed standing-room concert capacity. No authoritative event-capacity certificate, full room dimensions or permanent seating chart has been published.

Its importance to the local scene comes from flexibility. Cool Vibes adds a sizeable late-night room to a beach district better known for restaurants, resort bars and smaller live-music spaces. It gives local performers a stage for open jams and karaoke while also accommodating touring entertainment, fundraisers and private-style group events. Its identity is less formal theater and more social clubhouse with food, drinks, games and performance space.

Seating and Layout

The documented layout includes a stage, dining tables, a dance floor, a full bar and a game area with pool tables, darts, televisions, slot-style gaming machines and other interactive features. Customer descriptions also mention a jukebox, an ATM and a roomy interior. The venue was planned to include selfie stations and additional room for karaoke, open mic and game nights.

Ordinary visits appear to be table-and-bar oriented, with the room reconfigured or used more flexibly for ticketed events. No fixed theater seating plan, numbered seat map or permanent VIP section is publicly documented. Some touring shows sell front-row or VIP packages, but those arrangements are created for the individual production rather than representing a permanent venue layout. ticketfairy.com

For live music, guests who want the clearest view should favor the area facing the stage, while groups prioritizing conversation may prefer tables toward the bar or game-room side. Karaoke, music bingo and dance-oriented events are likely to work best from an open central position, where sightlines to the host and screens matter more than traditional seat location. No independent acoustic measurements or published sound map is available.

Getting There and Parking

The address is 6800 Sunset Way, St. Pete Beach, Florida 33706. The venue is in the “middle suite” of the building near the Gulf Winds Resort. Driving directions published for nearby properties describe turning from Gulf Boulevard onto 70th Avenue and continuing toward the Gulf-facing end of Sunset Way.

Parking is the most important practical issue. Local reporting in 2026 said public parking rates had risen to approximately $5 per hour on weekdays and $6 per hour on weekends, with a $1 seasonal surcharge from February through April. The venue’s co-owner said the business relies heavily on nearby paid public parking and reported that city-designated spaces could cost $60 per day per space. Rates, enforcement periods and payment rules can change, so do not assume an older event promotion reflects the current policy.

The city lists shared parking lots in the Upham Beach area, including options approximately half a mile from Upham Beach. Older venue promotions advertised free beach parking after 8 p.m., but that wording appeared in event marketing rather than a permanent venue policy and should be treated cautiously after the 2026 rate changes. Arrive early on weekends, holidays and ticketed show nights, and allow additional time to walk from a legal public space.

Public transportation is available through the SunRunner, the accessible bus rapid-transit service linking downtown St. Petersburg with St. Pete Beach. PSTA describes service every 15 minutes during much of the day, with fully accessible stations and an approximately 35-minute downtown-to-beach trip. PSTA directs beach visitors toward the 55th Avenue and Beach Access stations; from the Gulf Boulevard corridor, continue toward the 70th Avenue and Sunset Way area. Use a marked stop rather than requesting an unscheduled roadside stop.

Rideshare is practical because the venue sits on a commercial street near resort properties, although a precise official pickup zone has not been published. Ask the driver to use the venue entrance on Sunset Way and avoid blocking resort entrances, beach access points or narrow residential driveways.

Inside the Venue

Expect a casual, energetic restaurant-bar atmosphere rather than a quiet seated theater. The room combines dining, drinking, sports-bar elements, games and entertainment. Reviews describe pool tables, darts, a jukebox, a dance floor, televisions and enough open floor area for group events. One visitor described the venue as family-friendly during a daytime or early-evening visit, while other programming becomes explicitly adult-only at night.

The food program centers on elevated bar food and late-night comfort food, with burgers, wings, nachos, quesadillas, pizzas, seafood dishes, fish and chips, flatbreads, poutine and desserts appearing in published menus. Delivery listings have shown the kitchen operating well into the night, although closing times vary by source and may differ from dine-in service.

Published customer comments repeatedly praise the late kitchen, generous portions, drinks, friendly bartenders and games. Criticism is more limited but includes higher-than-expected prices, a less intimate feeling on quiet nights and occasional complaints about fried-food preparation. These reviews describe individual visits rather than guaranteed service levels.

No public technical rider identifies the brand or model of the sound system, mixing console, microphones, monitors, lighting fixtures, rigging, projection equipment or stage dimensions. The venue does have a live-music stage, and at least one touring production warned guests about strobe and flashing-light effects. Do not assume that every event uses the same production package.

No public information confirms a coat check, merchandise desk, dedicated event check-in area, venue-wide Wi-Fi policy or permanent bag policy. Those details may be arranged by individual promoters. Food and drinks are a central part of the venue experience, while the game-room features provide alternatives for guests attending without a formal performance ticket.

Nearby Amenities

The venue sits in a compact resort-and-restaurant area near Upham Beach. Nearby listings identify Rick’s Reef, Coconut Charlie’s Beach Bar & Grill and Buoys Waterfront Bar and Grill within a short local radius. Gulf Winds Resort and other beach accommodations are immediately adjacent or nearby, making the area workable for visitors who want to walk to an event rather than drive after drinking.

For a pre-show meal, arrive early enough to eat at Cool Vibes itself or choose one of the nearby Gulf Boulevard restaurants. On busy nights, the combination of dinner traffic, beach visitors and event arrivals can make the area feel much more crowded than it does during a quiet afternoon. A hotel within walking distance is the simplest late-night option; otherwise, arrange a rideshare before leaving because SunRunner service does not operate like an all-night rail system.

What Makes This Venue Special

Cool Vibes On The Beach’s distinctive feature is the combination of a large, flexible indoor room with the social energy of a St. Pete Beach nightlife district. It is close enough to the sand and resort corridor to feel connected to beach tourism, but its programming is deliberately broader than sunset dining: locals can play music, sing karaoke, join a game night, attend a fundraiser or buy tickets to a touring variety show.

The room also reflects the entrepreneurial character of the Pinellas County hospitality scene. Rather than opening as a national chain or a purpose-built theater, it represents an existing local operator expanding into a larger coastal property. Its history is short, but the building itself has hosted several restaurant and entertainment concepts, including RockHouse Live and earlier businesses registered at the address.

Its community role is clearest in the events that connect entertainment with causes. The Black Veil Ball used the venue for queer art, performance and mental-health fundraising, while the Sandy Feet event combined nightlife with support for a local arts nonprofit. These gatherings show how a restaurant-bar can provide an informal cultural venue for groups that may not need or want a conventional theater.

Visitor Tips and Information

Check the specific event listing for age restrictions, door times, photography rules, refund terms and VIP arrival instructions. The venue hosts both family-friendly restaurant visits and adults-only ticketed shows, so age policy is event-specific rather than universal. Some productions have prohibited photography and video, while others promote costumes, group packages or special front-row experiences.

Wear comfortable shoes for standing, dancing and moving between the stage, bar and game areas. Beach clothing is appropriate for a casual visit, but themed shows may encourage costumes or more formal group-night attire. Bring a government-issued ID when attending an age-restricted event or ordering alcohol.

Accessibility information specific to the restaurant is not publicly detailed. The nearby Upham Beach access area has a ramp, a boardwalk, a Mobi-Mat, accessible beach seating near Paradise Grill, beach wheelchairs and an ADA-compliant restroom, but those features belong to the public beach-access system and should not be assumed to be inside Cool Vibes. Guests who need step-free seating, accessible restrooms, space for a mobility device or accommodation for a service animal should confirm the event setup before purchase.

The best arrival strategy is simple: come early, park legally, allow time to walk, and eat before the headline portion of a ticketed show if you want a table. The venue is designed for social movement, not silent, fixed-seat viewing, so the experience is strongest when you treat it as a full night out rather than only a place to watch a performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Cool Vibes On The Beach located?

Cool Vibes On The Beach is located at 6800 Sunset Way in St. Pete Beach, Florida, ZIP code 33706. It occupies the former RockHouse Live space near Gulf Winds Resort and the Upham Beach area. The building is reached from Gulf Boulevard by turning toward 70th Avenue and continuing along Sunset Way toward the Gulf-facing end of the property.

What kind of events are held at Cool Vibes On The Beach?

The schedule combines live music, karaoke, open jam nights, music bingo, comedy, themed parties, workshops, community fundraisers and occasional touring adult-entertainment or tribute shows. It is not limited to one genre or format. The venue’s programming is generally interactive and social, with food, drinks, games and dancing forming part of the overall experience.

Did Cool Vibes On The Beach host events before 2025?

The available records do not show Cool Vibes On The Beach operating under that name before 2025. Local reporting announced the St. Pete Beach expansion in January 2025, and a local newspaper recorded the restaurant’s opening on April 12, 2025. Earlier entertainment activity at the address belonged to previous concepts, including RockHouse Live, rather than Cool Vibes.

How much do tickets usually cost?

Pricing depends on the event. Recurring karaoke, open jam and music-bingo activities may not require a conventional ticket, while ticketed shows have advertised prices from roughly $11.95 to $33. Early-bird general admission has appeared around $27.50, with group packages reducing the per-person cost. Treat every price as event-specific because fees, tiers and day-of-show increases vary. ticketfairy.com

Does Cool Vibes On The Beach have a box office?

No permanent public box-office schedule has been documented. Ticketed events are generally promoted and sold through the individual organizer, while regular restaurant entertainment may be free or handled at the door. Check the event’s own instructions for advance sales, door availability, entry times and age requirements. Do not assume that a sold-out online event will have tickets available when you arrive.

Is the venue seated or standing?

It is a flexible restaurant-bar space with tables, a bar, a stage, a dance floor and game areas. Regular dining is table-based, but ticketed events may use general admission standing space, temporary seating or event-specific VIP and front-row arrangements. No permanent numbered seating chart has been published, so the best viewing position can change from one production to another.

What is the capacity of Cool Vibes On The Beach?

Launch coverage described the property as nearly 9,000 square feet with room to seat approximately 200 to 300 diners. That is a reported dining estimate, not a confirmed concert capacity or official fire-code occupancy. No authoritative standing capacity, room dimensions or seating chart is publicly available. Event capacity may be lower depending on staging, dance space, tables and production equipment.

Is Cool Vibes On The Beach actually on the beach?

The venue is near the Gulf and Upham Beach, but it is an indoor restaurant and entertainment space on Sunset Way, not an open-air stage on the sand. Visitors can combine an event with a beach visit, but ticketed performances take place inside the building. Some third-party listings have incorrectly blended the venue with Upham Beach Park, so use the 6800 Sunset Way address when planning your arrival.

Where should I park for an event?

Use legal public or shared parking in the surrounding Upham Beach area and allow time to walk. Local reporting in 2026 described public rates of about $5 per hour on weekdays and $6 per hour on weekends, with a seasonal surcharge during February through April. Older event promotions mentioned free parking after 8 p.m., but current city rules should take priority over older advertising.

Is there free parking after 8 p.m.?

Some 2025 and 2026 event promotions advertised free beach parking after 8 p.m., but that wording was tied to individual promotions rather than a permanent venue guarantee. St. Pete Beach changed parking rates in 2026, and business owners publicly raised concerns about the effect on visitors. Check the signs at the space you use and follow current payment and enforcement rules.

Can I take public transportation to the venue?

Yes. The SunRunner connects downtown St. Petersburg with St. Pete Beach using accessible stations and frequent service. PSTA identifies beach stops including the 55th Avenue and Beach Access stations. From the Gulf Boulevard corridor, continue toward 70th Avenue and Sunset Way. Because routes and stop patterns can change, use a marked stop and check the current trip information before setting out.

Is Cool Vibes On The Beach family-friendly?

The restaurant has been described as family-friendly during ordinary visits, with games, food and a children’s menu mentioned in customer feedback. However, the venue also hosts adult-only ticketed entertainment, including shows with 18+ or 21+ restrictions. Family suitability depends on the event, time of night and atmosphere, so read the event’s age policy rather than relying only on the restaurant’s general identity.

Does the venue serve food late at night?

Late-night food is one of the venue’s recurring selling points. Published listings have described the kitchen operating until approximately 2 a.m. or 2:30 a.m., while general venue hours have been listed until 3 a.m. Closing times can vary by night, holiday and kitchen conditions. Menu listings include burgers, wings, pizza, seafood, quesadillas, fish and chips, flatbreads and desserts.

Does Cool Vibes On The Beach have live music?

Yes. The venue was planned with a live-music stage and has promoted live music, open jam sessions, karaoke and touring entertainment. Wednesday open jam listings invited performers to bring instruments or use venue equipment, while customer reviews describe live music and karaoke occurring throughout the week. Specific performers and schedules change frequently, so recurring formats are more reliable than any one dated listing.

Does the venue have pool tables and darts?

Yes. The launch description identified pool tables, darts, televisions, slot-style gaming machines and a game room. Visitors have also mentioned a dance floor, jukebox and other interactive features. These amenities make the venue suitable for groups who want entertainment beyond the main performance, although the available game-room space may be reduced during larger ticketed productions or private events.

What should I wear?

There is no general published dress code. Casual beach and resort clothing fits the restaurant-bar setting, while comfortable shoes are useful for dancing, standing and moving through the game areas. Themed events may encourage costumes or special outfits, and adult productions may have a different nightlife atmosphere from daytime dining. Bring valid identification for age-restricted shows and alcohol service.

Can I take photos or videos during a show?

Photography rules are event-specific. At least one touring production listed at Cool Vibes prohibited photography and video during the performance, while other events may allow limited personal photography. Do not assume that restaurant photography permissions apply inside a ticketed show. Follow instructions from the event organizer and venue staff, especially when performers, audience participation or flashing effects are involved.

Is Cool Vibes On The Beach accessible?

Public sources do not provide a detailed venue-specific accessibility statement covering entrances, restrooms, seating, counters or event layouts. Nearby Upham Beach access includes ramps, a boardwalk, a Mobi-Mat, beach wheelchairs and an ADA-compliant restroom, but those are public beach amenities rather than confirmed features inside the venue. Guests needing step-free access or accessible seating should verify the specific event arrangement before buying.

What makes Cool Vibes On The Beach different from a normal beach bar?

Its identity comes from combining a late-night restaurant and full bar with a comparatively large entertainment room, stage, dance floor, games and community-event programming. Visitors can eat, play pool, sing karaoke, watch live music, join music bingo or attend a fundraiser without moving to another venue. It is closer to an all-purpose social entertainment space than a simple waterfront drink stop.
