### About Zamna Tulum

Zamna Tulum is an open-air festival complex on Federal Highway 307 at kilometer 200, postal code 77760, south of central Tulum. Despite some listings incorrectly abbreviating the state as “Qro.,” the venue is in Tulum, **Quintana Roo**, not Querétaro. It occupies approximately 11 hectares of jungle and incorporates a cenote, pool, eco-cabins, dining areas and several adaptable performance spaces.

Public event records show parties at the location by December 2016, while the festival organization describes 2017 as the beginning of its annual Tulum showcase. Early appearances by Afterlife, Diynamic and Flying Circus established the combination that still defines Zamna: international electronic music, overnight schedules, large-scale audiovisual production and a natural setting rather than a conventional club building.

Zamna does not publish a single permanent concert capacity. A private-event listing describes capacities from approximately 250 to 9,000 depending on the area and configuration, while a past Afterlife event reportedly exceeded 9,000 attendees. Treat 9,000 as evidence of the complex’s large-event scale, not as a guaranteed legal capacity for every show. No verified public dimensions, fixed seating plan or standardized stage measurements are available.

### Events and Programming

Zamna is primarily a destination venue for house, melodic techno, techno, Afro house and related electronic styles. Its main season usually surrounds New Year’s Eve and the first half of January, with individual nights curated by artists, labels and international party brands. Some seasons add spring events, special concerts and beach programming, but a ticket for one event does not normally admit the holder to the entire season.

The 2021–22 season featured ARTBAT, Claptone, Purple Disco Machine, Diplo, Gorgon City, Afterlife, Circoloco, Black Coffee and a closing program involving ARTBAT, Mathame, Sasha, John Digweed and Sven Väth. The 2022–23 season expanded to three-stage productions and included Afterlife, Circoloco, Keinemusik, Michael Bibi’s ELOVATE, Diplo’s Higher Ground, Black Coffee and the Tulum debut of the sculptural CORE stage.

The 2024 program demonstrated the venue’s range. Anjunadeep, Gordo’s Taraka, Adriatique’s X, Paul Kalkbrenner, ANTS, BLOND:ISH’s Abracadabra, Afterlife, Circoloco, Keinemusik, FISHER, Mathame’s audiovisual show, RÜFÜS DU SOL and CORE all appeared. Later events brought Renaissance and a multi-stage closing led by artists including ARTBAT, John Summit, Claptone and Korolova.

For 2025, Zamna booked ARTBAT, Boris Brejcha, Joseph Capriati’s Metamorfosi, John Summit’s Experts Only, No Art, two Afterlife nights, Bedouin’s SAGA, ANTS, Tiësto, two Keinemusik dates, Adriatique’s X, Agents of Time’s Time Machine and David Guetta. This mixture shows that Zamna can move from underground house and melodic techno to artists with arena-level mainstream recognition.

The completed 2026 jungle season included MRAK for New Year’s Eve, David Guetta, ANTS, Francis Mercier, RÜFÜS DU SOL, No Art, Keinemusik, Adriatique, Bedouin’s SAGA, Justice leading the new Pulse of Gaia concept, Mayan Warrior’s full art car and a Black Coffee closing event. Across the wider jungle-and-beach program, organizers reported more than 15 events and approximately 120,000 visits from over 100 nationalities.

For the next cycle, a three-event Zamna Tulum multipass has been announced beginning December 31, 2026. As of August 22, 2026, an individual artist lineup for the 2027 Tulum season had not been publicly confirmed, so visitors should regard artist rumors as unverified.

### Tickets and Booking

Tickets are normally released in escalating tiers, with prices increasing as cheaper allocations sell. Recent seasons suggest approximately US$100–$200 or more for standard admission to major jungle events, with VIP commonly around US$200–$400. Particularly elaborate productions can cost more, while backstage experiences may reach several thousand dollars. Prices exclude fees in some sales and vary substantially by artist and release.

Buy through the festival’s authorized sales channel and use the ticket holder’s correct legal name. Popular Afterlife, Keinemusik, CORE and headline shows have sold out in advance, making door sales unreliable. Multipasses can offer better value, but they usually require later redemption for selected events; possession of a code may not guarantee space once an event’s allocation has filled. There is no dependable public walk-up box office schedule.

### Seating and Layout

Zamna is predominantly a standing, general-admission experience. The configuration changes with each production, but recurring spaces have included the Jungle, Island or Isla, Garden and Pool stages. The Island Stage is integrated with the cenote and surrounded by water, while larger Jungle configurations support monumental temporary scenery, video surfaces, lasers and multi-level lighting structures.

For maximum visual impact, stand near the centerline of the principal stage, but expect heavier crowding and slower access to bars and restrooms. The rear and outer sides usually provide more room, easier exits and a wider view of lasers and overhead production. VIP can include a preferential entrance, separate restrooms, lounge space and elevated or side-stage viewing, but visitor reports warn that VIP sections can also become crowded.

There are no conventional theater seats. Limited couches, lounge furniture, hammocks or table areas may appear near the pool, Island Stage or VIP areas, but these should not be treated as guaranteed public seating. Natural and gravel surfaces make supportive closed shoes more practical than sandals or heels.

### Architecture, Sound and Production

Zamna’s architecture is less a permanent building than an adaptable landscape. Trees, water and darkness frame temporary stages that are redesigned for individual artists. Public production records suggest that its evolution occurs mainly through show-specific structures rather than traditional renovations. Technical management has covered two principal stages while adapting structures, lighting and production systems to changing artist requirements.

One documented 2023 Island Stage production added an eight-meter heart-shaped centerpiece to a permanent ground-support structure. Its lighting package included 32 moving wash fixtures, 10 hybrid beam units, 10 moving LED battens, blinders, strobes and a professional lighting console. RÜFÜS DU SOL’s 2024 show added customized visual content, laser programming and dedicated production and lighting design.

No authoritative inventory identifies one permanent Zamna sound system used for every event. Public descriptions consistently refer to custom or state-of-the-art sound design, and the changing stages make it likely that systems are engineered around each show. Visitors should therefore expect sound quality and bass coverage to vary with the stage, production team, crowd density and listening position rather than assume a single house specification.

### Getting There and Parking

The venue is reached from Highway 307, approximately five kilometers from Tulum town. It is not in the beach hotel zone. A private driver or prearranged round-trip transfer is generally the most predictable option, particularly because headline sets often continue until sunrise. Taxis wait outside major events, but fares can rise sharply when thousands of people leave together; agree on the price before entering the vehicle.

Seasonal shuttles and colectivos sometimes operate from central Tulum or points along Highway 307, but routes, departure points and hours are not permanent. A colectivo may be useful on the outward journey, yet it should not be your only return plan after an event. The Maya Train and Tulum airport improve regional access but do not provide direct transportation to the venue; every rail or air journey still requires a road transfer.

Parking arrangements vary by event. Official prepaid parking has occasionally been offered, while nearby landowners and attendants also operate informal lots. Visitor reports describe substantial peak-night prices, inconsistent organization and longer walks for late arrivals. Do not assume parking will be free or directly beside the entrance. If driving, arrive early, confirm whether the lot is official and never drive after drinking.

### Inside the Venue

Entry typically involves a ticket scan, age or identity check and a detailed security search. Events are generally restricted to guests aged 18 and older, with no re-entry and no refunds except under limited cancellation terms. Prohibited items commonly include outside food and drinks, glass, sharp objects, fireworks, illegal substances, drones, selfie sticks, portable lasers, aerosols and professional recording equipment. Rules can change between productions.

Recent events have used cashless wristbands. Guests load credit at designated points using cash or a bank card and then pay at bars and concessions with the wristband. Attendees report that unused credit may not carry into a later event, so load modest amounts and top up when necessary. Food trucks at larger events have offered options such as pizza, burgers, curry, fruit and sweets.

Restrooms are festival-style facilities rather than permanent arena washrooms. VIP tickets may provide separate facilities, although they are not necessarily luxurious. No reliable public information confirms a coat check, lockers, free water refill points or dependable event-wide Wi-Fi. Carry only essentials and protect your telephone and bank cards in crowded areas.

### Nearby Amenities

Most practical pre-event dining, pharmacies, convenience stores and accommodation are in Centro, La Veleta, Aldea Zama or Aldea Tulum rather than directly outside the entrance. Aldea Tulum is among the closest residential areas, with some accommodations reported as a 15–20-minute walk away. Walking from central Tulum or the beach zone is not practical.

The Zamna property has advertised eco-cabins overlooking the cenote and Island Stage, a restaurant and a 300-square-meter pool. Festival-stay packages have also included lodging, breakfast and round-trip event transportation. Availability and access during concert nights vary, so a room at the property should not be assumed to include festival admission.

### What Makes Zamna Tulum Special

Zamna’s signature moment is the transition from night into sunrise: lasers and sculptural visuals gradually give way to trees, water and daylight while the music continues. Few large venues can move between intimate cenote scenery, pool areas and monumental festival architecture within one jungle property. That adaptability has allowed underground brands, audiovisual projects, live electronic acts and global headliners to occupy recognizably different versions of the same landscape.

The festival has also become economically significant to Tulum’s high season. Organizers reported approximately 120,000 visits in 2026, with local hotel occupancy rising above 90 percent and additional spending reaching restaurants, bars and shops. Its foundation has supported Maya communities through food, clothing, medicine, education and environmental programs. Earlier initiatives included school improvements, toy donations and reduced single-use plastic.

### Visitor Tips and Information

Arrive at least 60–90 minutes before the set you most want to see, allowing extra time for highway traffic, security and cashless wristband loading. Headliners frequently begin after 2 or 3 a.m., and some events continue well after sunrise. Bring government-issued identification, earplugs and a charged phone. Apply non-aerosol insect repellent before arrival and carry a light layer for the cooler early morning.

There is no detailed, publicly verified accessibility guide confirming step-free routes, accessible viewing platforms or adapted festival restrooms. The outdoor terrain, temporary infrastructure and standing format may create barriers for wheelchair users or guests with limited mobility. Do not assume that VIP automatically solves these issues. Accessible visitors should arrange suitable transportation and obtain event-specific confirmation of entrance, surface and restroom arrangements before purchasing.

Visitor experiences are mixed. Many praise the setting, sunrise, visuals and ambitious production; common complaints involve taxi prices, crowding, wristband payments, restroom conditions and intrusive searches. Authorities reported a positive overall security outcome for the 2026 season, but individual experiences varied. Travel with trusted companions, establish a meeting point and arrange the journey home before entering.

### Frequently Asked Questions

#### Is Zamna Tulum in Querétaro?

No. Zamna is in the municipality of Tulum in Quintana Roo, on Mexico’s Caribbean side. The postal code is 77760 and the venue is on Federal Highway 307. Some official-looking listings have displayed “Qro.,” which normally suggests Querétaro, but that abbreviation is an address error. Visitors should search and book transportation for Tulum, Quintana Roo.

#### Is Zamna Tulum still open?

Yes. Zamna completed its 2026 Tulum season in January 2026 and reported its largest attendance to date. A multipass has also been announced for the next Tulum cycle beginning December 31, 2026. Individual 2027 artists had not been publicly confirmed as of August 22, 2026, but the venue continues trading under the Zamna name.

#### What is the capacity of Zamna Tulum?

There is no verified fixed concert capacity because different parts of the 11-hectare property can operate independently or together. A private-event listing gives a range of approximately 250 to 9,000 people depending on the selected area, and a previous Afterlife event drew more than 9,000. Capacity can therefore change with the number of stages, barriers and production structures.

#### Is Zamna indoors or outdoors?

Zamna is predominantly outdoors. Its stages, dance floors, bars and circulation areas are integrated into a jungle property containing a cenote and pool. Temporary roofs or production structures may cover performers and selected service areas, but guests should prepare for open-air conditions, humidity and changing weather. A ticket should not be treated as admission to a climate-controlled indoor club.

#### How old must you be to enter Zamna?

Major Zamna festival events are generally restricted to guests aged 18 and older. Bring valid government-issued photo identification that matches the ticket details where required. Purchasing a ticket does not override the age rule, and guests without acceptable identification may be refused entry. Separate daytime, hotel or restaurant activities can have different conditions, but ticketed overnight parties should be considered adults-only.

#### How much are Zamna Tulum tickets?

For major recent jungle events, general admission has commonly started around US$100–$160 and can rise above US$200 in later releases. VIP often ranges from roughly US$200–$400, depending on the production. Booking fees may be additional. Multi-event passes can reduce the per-night cost, while backstage packages and tables are substantially more expensive and may involve minimum spending.

#### Can I buy Zamna tickets at the door?

Door sales should not be relied upon. The most popular events can sell out before the date, and there is no consistently published walk-up box office schedule. Advance purchase through an authorized channel is the safer option. Avoid unofficial screenshots or duplicated electronic tickets because only the first valid scan may enter, leaving later holders outside even if they paid a reseller.

#### How does the Zamna multipass work?

A multipass normally provides codes redeemable for a stated number of general-admission event tickets, commonly three. Redemption is a separate step from buying the pass. If a popular event’s multipass allocation has filled, the code may not secure that date. Redeem as soon as the desired programs are released and remember that unused redemptions are generally nonrefundable and do not provide VIP access.

#### Does Zamna Tulum have assigned seating?

No. Standard tickets provide standing general admission rather than an assigned seat. Some VIP areas offer tables, lounges, couches or limited elevated viewing, but their location changes with the production. Guests who need regular seating should not assume that a normal VIP ticket includes a reserved chair. The pool and Island areas occasionally contain casual furniture, although availability is limited.

#### Where is the best place to stand at Zamna?

Front-center provides the strongest stage detail and bass impact but can become crowded. Farther back, the complete lighting, laser and scenic design is easier to see, with better access to exits and concessions. Side positions are useful for movement but may have restricted visual angles. Arrive early enough to explore because the best location changes when an event uses several stages.

#### Is there parking at Zamna Tulum?

Parking is offered for some events, including occasional official prepaid lots, but availability, location and price are not consistent. Informal paid fields also operate nearby during busy dates. Expect traffic controls and a possible walk to the entrance. Do not leave valuables visible in a vehicle, verify who is managing the lot and identify the exit route before entering the festival.

#### Can I take a colectivo to Zamna?

Colectivos and special festival vans have operated from central Tulum and along Highway 307 during previous seasons. They can be economical, especially on the way to the venue, but departure points and operating hours vary. Service after sunrise is not guaranteed. Ask the driver to confirm the Zamna stop and maintain a backup return plan rather than depending on one final van.

#### How difficult is it to get a taxi after Zamna?

Taxis normally gather outside major events, but queues, congestion and demand-based prices can be significant when a headline set ends. Visitors have reported spending far more on the return than on the outward trip. Prearranging a driver and agreeing on the total price is usually more predictable. If using a waiting taxi, confirm the fare and destination before getting inside.

#### Is Zamna Tulum cashless?

Recent events have used a cashless wristband. Guests load money at festival stations using cash or a payment card, then tap the wristband at bars and food outlets. Attendees report that balances may be valid only for that event rather than the full season. Load a conservative amount, retain payment receipts where provided and check the event’s refund rules before adding excess credit.

#### Can I bring water, food or a large bag?

Outside food and drinks, including water bottles, have commonly been prohibited. Large or multi-compartment bags may also be refused or searched extensively. Bring the smallest practical bag and avoid glass, aerosols, sharp objects, professional cameras, drones, selfie sticks and portable lasers. Because enforcement can change between events, carrying an item successfully on one night does not guarantee admission with it later.

#### Is Zamna Tulum wheelchair accessible?

No comprehensive public accessibility guide confirms a continuous step-free route, adapted viewing platform or accessible festival restroom. Zamna’s natural outdoor terrain and temporary layouts may be difficult for wheelchairs and mobility devices. Guests should not interpret VIP access as accessibility certification. Suitable door-to-door transportation, an accompanying person and advance confirmation of the event-specific layout are strongly advisable.

#### What time do headliners perform?

Doors can open during the evening, but major headliners frequently appear between approximately 2 a.m. and sunrise. Some closing sets continue into the late morning. Set times are often released close to the event and may change. If one artist is your priority, arrive at least 60–90 minutes before the published time to allow for traffic, searches and entry lines.

#### What should I wear to Zamna Tulum?

There is no formal dress code for standard admission. Lightweight festival clothing is common, but practical footwear is more important than elaborate styling because surfaces can include gravel and natural ground. Wear closed, comfortable shoes and bring a light layer for dawn. Apply sunscreen or insect repellent before entry, since liquids and aerosols may be restricted during the security search.
