Watford City Eagles Club - FOE #3543

Watford City

Events and Programming

Watford City Eagles Club – FOE #3543 is primarily a community-oriented fraternal clubhouse, bar, gaming venue and event hall rather than a conventional concert venue. Its most consistent programming combines bingo, charitable gaming, food specials and social nights. Recent club announcements have promoted Thursday bingo, blackjack, pull tabs and electronic gaming alongside recurring burger, wing and steak dinners. One published 2026 bingo format charged $14 for a pack covering all games and $2 for additional cards, with play beginning at 7 p.m. and restricted to guests aged 21 or older.

Poker is the venue’s clearest recurring destination event. Watford City editions of the Monster Stack have appeared on regional poker-tour schedules in 2024, 2025 and 2026. The format generally uses a $150 buy-in, a substantial starting stack, timed levels and an optional add-on. Another edition has already been announced for 2027, indicating that tournament poker is likely to remain an important part of the club’s programming beyond 2026.

Community benefits are equally central. Verified events from 2021 through 2026 include celebrations of life, spaghetti dinners, raffles, silent auctions, bingo fundraisers and benefit rides for local families facing medical expenses, fires or other hardships. The venue hosted a Kay Detienne benefit in 2024; a Ceynar family benefit ride also began and ended there that year. In 2025, it accommodated a sexual-assault and domestic-violence awareness fundraiser and a benefit dinner for Amy Harness. A spaghetti dinner and silent auction for Kriss Hollis followed in 2026.

Other verified programming includes a 2023 wild-game feed and crawfish boil, as well as receptions and memorial gatherings. Publicly indexed records for 2022 are too limited to support a reliable event list, so no specific 2022 program is asserted here. There is no comprehensive public archive covering every private rental or members’ gathering held between 2021 and 2026.

Live music appears occasionally rather than weekly. The club’s 2025 Fourth of July celebration, billed locally as its first live-music July Fourth bash, featured 8th Hour and was advertised as a free, family-friendly afternoon of food, festivities and music. No evidence supports describing the Eagles Club as a regular touring-band stop; its entertainment calendar is better characterized as local, social and fundraising-focused.

Tickets and Booking

There is no verified centralized box office or permanent ticket structure. Admission depends on the organizer and event type. Community celebrations may be free, benefit meals commonly request a free-will donation, bingo uses game-pack pricing, and poker tournaments require a buy-in. Special raffles, silent auctions and add-ons are normally separate from admission. Visitors should treat the live event listing accompanying this guide as the best indicator of what is presently on sale.

For bingo, recent pricing was $14 for the main pack and $2 per extra card. Poker has recently used a $150 entry price, sometimes with re-entry and optional add-on provisions. The 2025 Fourth of July celebration was free, while many medical-benefit dinners asked guests to donate what they could rather than charging a fixed ticket price. These examples describe the club’s usual pricing pattern but do not guarantee prices for another event.

For popular poker tournaments, register as early as the organizer allows and read the structure carefully; late entry, re-entry and add-on deadlines can affect the total cost. For benefits and holiday events, arriving near opening time provides a better chance of finding preferred tables and viewing silent-auction items before the busiest period. Door sales should never be assumed unless the event announcement specifically permits them.

About Watford City Eagles Club – FOE #3543

The club is located at 1904 South Main Street, along the U.S. Highway 85 corridor in Watford City. Recent state licensing records, tourism material, event announcements and 2026 operating posts confirm that the Eagles Club remains active at this address under the Aerie #3543 name. The building combines a bar and gaming operation with a rentable gathering space and on-site catering capability. Its published event capacity is 200.

Organizational records identify the Watford City Aerie as having formed in 1975, while federal records show tax-exempt recognition dating from August 1991. It is a 501(c)(8) fraternal beneficiary organization, not a conventional commercial event promoter. A local obituary identifies Niel Nelson as a charter member and former president, providing one of the few publicly available links to the club’s founding generation.

A complete building-opening date, original architect and construction history have not been published in accessible records. The current South Main location was documented by at least 2020. More recent city permits show a $14,000 demolition and remodeling project in 2023 to create a multipurpose room, followed by a $23,555 spray-insulation project in 2025. These practical upgrades support flexible gatherings and improved building performance, although detailed design drawings have not been made public.

Seating and Layout

The only firmly published capacity is 200. No official seating chart, room dimensions, stage dimensions or breakdown of seated versus standing capacity is available. Because the hall hosts bingo, poker, dinners, auctions and memorials, arrangements are event-specific and commonly depend on tables and chairs rather than a fixed theater seating plan. The 2023 multipurpose-room remodeling further supports a flexible setup.

For bingo or fundraising dinners, a central table generally offers the most balanced access to announcements, servers and auction displays. At occasional music events, sightlines depend on where the temporary performance area is placed; no permanent stage orientation has been verified. Guests who need wheelchair space, easier restroom access or reduced walking should request an appropriate table when arriving rather than relying on a published accessible-seating map.

No permanent VIP section, balcony, suite, reserved premium tier or raked seating has been documented. Tickets described as general admission should therefore be understood as access to an event-specific floor plan, not to a numbered concert seat.

Production and Technical Capabilities

No public technical rider identifies the club’s sound console, speakers, microphones, monitors, stage lighting, power distribution, rigging points, loading access or backstage facilities. Visitors should not expect arena-style production, while organizers should confirm every technical requirement directly during the rental process. The building is publicly promoted for meetings and gatherings, but its only listed meeting amenity is a full-service bar; professional audiovisual equipment is not listed.

The venue’s successful use for bingo, announcements and occasional local music suggests that event sound can be accommodated, but the available sources do not establish whether equipment is house-owned, rented or supplied by performers. There is likewise no verified information about acoustic treatment, hearing loops, projection systems, Wi-Fi bandwidth or dedicated production staff.

Getting There and Parking

The Eagles Club stands at 1904 South Main Street on Watford City’s southern Main Street and Highway 85 corridor. Drivers approaching from central Watford City should follow Main Street south. Visitors arriving from Theodore Roosevelt National Park’s North Unit approach the city from the south on Highway 85, while travelers from Williston generally enter the area from the north and west.

Recent visitor feedback mentions plentiful parking, and third-party accessibility information identifies wheelchair-accessible parking. No parking fee, reserved event lot, overflow plan, electric-vehicle charging arrangement or formal rideshare zone has been published. Parking appears to be surface-level and close to the building, but larger fundraisers may create more demand than an ordinary bar night.

Watford City is served by Northwest Dakota Public Transit, a dial-a-ride service rather than an urban fixed-route bus network. No scheduled stop directly outside the Eagles Club is confirmed, so advance ride arrangements are advisable. Local rideshare availability can be inconsistent, particularly late at night, and guests drinking alcohol should arrange their return trip before entering.

For air travelers, Williston Basin International Airport is approximately 50 miles northwest of Watford City and is the principal nearby commercial airport. Watford City Municipal Airport serves general-aviation traffic but is not a replacement for scheduled airline service. A rental car or prearranged ground transportation is usually the most practical option for visitors flying into the region.

Inside the Venue

The Eagles Club operates as a casual bar, kitchen and gaming establishment as well as an event hall. Recent menus and announcements have featured wings, burgers, fries, salads and steak specials. The bar serves beer, cocktails and spirits, while gaming offerings have included blackjack, pull tabs, electronic gaming machines and a pig wheel. On-site catering is available for booked groups, with food options determined through the venue.

Recent operating posts frequently used a 3 p.m. bar opening and 4 p.m. kitchen opening, but ordinary hours and event hours can differ. Published directories also disagree about Sunday service, making individual event times more reliable than generic business listings. Special dinners may use a limited menu, buffet, free-will meal or catered service rather than the usual kitchen selection.

The regular club environment is generally described as 21 and older, especially where alcohol and gaming are central. However, specially advertised events can make different arrangements: the 2025 Fourth of July celebration was explicitly promoted as family-friendly. Guests should follow the age wording for the specific event rather than assuming that every program admits children.

No permanent coat check, merchandise counter, public Wi-Fi service, charging station or formal bag-check system has been verified. Security, photography and re-entry rules appear to be set event by event. Bring identification for any 21-and-over program and keep personal belongings compact enough to store safely beside or beneath a table.

Nearby Amenities

My Little Mexico is immediately along the same South Main corridor, while Pizza Pie on the Fly is farther north on Main Street. Downtown options include burgers and beer at JL Beers, steaks and pub food at Outlaws, coffee at Door 204 and pizza, pasta and locally brewed beer at Stonehome Brewing Company. Opening hours vary, and some bars are restricted to adults aged 21 and older.

Watford City has a comparatively large lodging inventory for its size. Short-drive options include Roosevelt Inn & Suites, Comfort Inn & Suites, The Watford Hotel, Little Missouri Inn & Suites, Teddy’s Residential Suites and MainStay Suites. Several offer breakfast, pools, lounges or extended-stay facilities. Visitors attending a late event should choose lodging before arrival because overnight transportation choices are limited.

What Makes This Venue Special

The Eagles Club matters less for architectural spectacle than for what happens inside it. It is one of Watford City’s practical gathering rooms: large enough for approximately 200 people, yet informal enough for neighbors to organize a benefit dinner, memorial, bingo evening or poker tournament without using a major arena. That adaptability gives the venue a distinct role beside the city’s larger athletic and performing-arts facilities.

Its community impact is measurable. For the fiscal year ending May 2024, organizational records reported 122 members, 30 employees and $242,108 donated to numerous recipients. Supported causes included civic activities, youth programs, scholarships and Boys State and Girls State dinners and ceremonies. The club also provides members with social events and a local base for charitable gaming.

Recent benefits demonstrate the cultural side of that mission. The room repeatedly becomes a place where Watford City residents respond to illness, bereavement, domestic violence and family emergencies with meals, auctions, raffles and shared time. Its occasional holiday music events broaden that role, but the defining tradition is community service rather than celebrity performance.

Visitor Tips and Information

Third-party venue information identifies wheelchair-accessible parking, an accessible entrance, accessible seating and a wheelchair-accessible restroom. However, no formal accessibility guide provides doorway widths, turning spaces, lowered counters, companion-seat quantities or assistive-listening details. Guests with specific mobility or sensory requirements should confirm the event arrangement before traveling, especially when tables, auction displays or poker equipment may alter circulation routes.

Recent reviews particularly praise the wings, hot fries, friendly food service and ample parking. Other feedback reports quieter periods, mixed bar service and a gaming-heavy atmosphere. These comments suggest that the experience varies considerably between an ordinary weekday, a busy bingo night and a full community benefit.

Bring valid identification, arrive early for table-based events and carry a backup payment method because accepted payment types have not been consistently published. Do not assume children are admitted, that a meal is included or that a poker buy-in covers every optional add-on. Watford City observes Central Time, an important detail for visitors driving from parts of western North Dakota or Montana where schedules may be listed differently.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of events are held at Watford City Eagles Club?

The club’s calendar centers on bingo, poker tournaments, benefit dinners, silent auctions, raffles, memorial gatherings, food specials and members’ social activities. Occasional holiday celebrations add live local music, but it is not primarily a touring-concert venue. Recent programming has emphasized charitable fundraising and community support as much as entertainment, reflecting the Eagles organization’s service mission.

How much do events at the Eagles Club usually cost?

Prices vary widely. Some community celebrations are free, while benefit meals often request a free-will donation. Recent bingo pricing was $14 for a full pack and $2 for each additional card. Regional Monster Stack poker events have generally charged a $150 buy-in, with optional add-ons or re-entry potentially increasing the total amount spent.

Do I need to be an Eagles member to attend?

Many benefits, poker tournaments and specially advertised celebrations have been promoted to the general public without stating that Eagles membership is required. Regular clubhouse use, members’ meetings or other social activities may follow different rules. Read the admission language for the specific event; public promotion should not be interpreted as universal access to every part of the club at every time.

Is Watford City Eagles Club always restricted to ages 21 and older?

The regular bar, gaming and bingo environment is generally described as 21 and older, and recent bingo announcements specifically required guests to be at least 21. Exceptions exist for specially designated programming. The 2025 Fourth of July music celebration was explicitly family-friendly, so parents should rely on each event’s age notice rather than the venue’s ordinary bar classification.

What is the capacity of Watford City Eagles Club?

The published capacity is 200. That figure appears in local meeting-venue material, but no source provides separate limits for seated dinners, standing receptions, poker tables or live music. Actual attendance may be lower when large tables, buffet service, auction displays or production equipment occupy the room, so organizers should obtain a configuration-specific limit when booking.

Does the venue have reserved or numbered seating?

No official numbered-seat map, permanent VIP area or reserved seating plan has been published. Bingo, poker, dinners and benefits require different table arrangements, so the floor is configured around the event. If an organizer advertises reserved tables, that arrangement applies only to that program. Otherwise, early arrival is the safest way to improve your table or viewing position.

How early should I arrive before an event?

For bingo, arrive 30 to 45 minutes before play to purchase cards, find a table and order food. Poker players should arrive before registration closes and allow time to understand add-on or re-entry rules. For benefits with silent auctions, arriving near opening time gives you more time to inspect items. Live-music and holiday events may need additional parking time.

Is parking available at the Eagles Club?

Visitor feedback mentions plentiful parking, and venue information identifies wheelchair-accessible parking. No standard parking charge has been published. The supply may feel generous on an ordinary night but become busier during a 200-person benefit or tournament. Do not block access aisles, loading areas or accessible spaces, and avoid leaving a vehicle overnight without permission.

Can I reach the venue using public transportation?

Northwest Dakota Public Transit provides dial-a-ride service in Watford City, but there is no confirmed fixed-route stop at the Eagles Club. Service should be arranged ahead of time rather than treated like a frequent city bus. Evening and weekend availability may not align with late events, making a designated driver or prearranged ride especially important after bar and gaming programs.

Is Watford City Eagles Club wheelchair accessible?

Third-party accessibility data lists accessible parking, entrance, seating and restrooms. A detailed venue accessibility statement is not published, and event furniture can change the available circulation space. Guests who use larger mobility devices, require companion seating or need a table near the entrance or restroom should have those needs incorporated into the event arrangement before arriving.

Can I buy food during an event?

Food is a regular part of the venue experience. Recent offerings have included burgers, wings, fries, salads and steak specials, while benefits often use spaghetti dinners or catered menus. The kitchen has recently opened later than the bar, commonly around 4 p.m., but service hours and menus vary. Some events may include food, request a donation or sell meals separately.

What gaming is available inside the club?

Recent club announcements have promoted bingo, blackjack, pull tabs, electronic gaming machines and a pig wheel. Poker tournaments are separately organized events with published structures and entry fees. Gaming availability can depend on the day, staffing and applicable event rules. Participation is restricted by age and regulation, so bring valid government-issued identification even if you are attending primarily for dinner.

What are the bag, camera and re-entry policies?

No permanent public bag-size, photography or re-entry policy has been verified. Small personal bags are the most practical choice because many programs use closely spaced tables. Photography may be inappropriate during memorials or private benefits even when no formal ban exists. For poker, live music or third-party rentals, follow the organizer’s published rules, as those may be stricter than ordinary clubhouse practice.

Does the venue have a coat check, Wi-Fi or merchandise stand?

No dedicated coat check, public Wi-Fi service or permanent merchandise counter is documented. Winter visitors should expect to keep coats with them unless the event provides a temporary rack. Artists, benefit organizers or poker tours may set up their own sales or registration table, but that is not a standing venue amenity. Keep valuables secure and avoid bringing unnecessary bulky items.

Can the Eagles Club be rented for a private event?

Yes. The venue is promoted locally as a meeting and event space with room for approximately 200 guests, a full-service bar and on-site catering options. Its multipurpose room was remodeled in 2023. Published information does not provide rental rates, deposits, minimum spending, outside-catering rules or setup fees, so organizers need a customized arrangement based on attendance and event type.

What has the venue announced for 2027 and beyond?

A further Watford City Eagles Monster Stack poker tournament has been announced for 2027, using a $150 buy-in and optional add-on structure. That supports the view that regional tournament poker will continue beyond 2026. No comparable long-range concert season or annual performing-arts subscription has been published, so future programming is more likely to emerge event by event.

Which time zone does Watford City use?

Watford City uses Central Time. This can matter for visitors crossing western North Dakota or traveling from Montana, where event advertisements and personal devices may create confusion. Local community calendars identify Watford City events in Central Time. Confirm that your phone has updated correctly after traveling and check whether a tournament organizer has accidentally used a different time-zone label.
