# Know who to target and where to tour next

- Know who to aim your next campaign at
- See where to advertise or tour next
- Find the buyers who keep coming back

## Aim your advertising at the ages that buy

Open Demographics on your event to see your ticket buyers by gender, by each year of age and in six age bands, with the highest and lowest band named above the chart. The chart by year of age shows separate peaks that broad bands can hide, so you can give each peak its own advertising audience. Open Demographics on your brand to see the same figures across all your events.

- **Gender Breakdown**: female, male and undisclosed, as counts and percentages
- **Age Breakdown**: one column for each year of age
- **Age Ranges**: six age bands with the highest and lowest named

![Ticket Fairy Age Ranges section, with buyers in six age bands and the highest and lowest band named above](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-demographics--age-bands.png)

## See your buyers' jobs and the devices they buy on

Professions shows the job titles and employers of your buyers side by side, so a conference or a brand partner can see which companies and roles your event attracts. The Devices report shows the browser, device type, platform, brand and model your buyers ordered on. Check your event page on the devices your buyers prefer before you put more money into advertising.

- **Professions**: the job titles and employers of your buyers
- **Buyer devices**: the browser, device and platform behind each order

![Ticket Fairy Professions section, with a table of job titles and a table of employers side by side](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-demographics--jobs-and-employers.png)

## Find the cities and countries where you sell best

The Geographics report on your brand ranks the countries, regions and cities your buyers order from. Look across all your events, or choose one event series, one venue, events in a city, events in a country or a set of events you pick yourself. See where your last tour sold before you book the next one, and open one event's Geographics page for a map of its buyers.

- **Brand Geographics**: countries, regions and cities across your events
- **Show buyers for**: all events, a series, a venue, a city, a country or events you choose
- **Event map**: one event's buyers on a map

![Ticket Fairy brand Geographics page for all events, with order totals, a country chart and the country, region and city tables](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-brand-geographics--all-events.png)

## Find your repeat buyers and keep your buyer list

Customers lists everybody who has bought from your brand, one row per person, with the events they bought for, their tickets, how much they paid and the sales their referral link brought in. Search by name, email or phone, and select a row to see their contact details and every order. Export the whole list as a CSV file with each buyer's marketing opt-ins, so the people who bought twice can hear from you first.

- **Customers**: all the buyers across your brand, sorted by what they brought in
- **Customer Details**: contact details and every order for one buyer
- **Export**: your whole buyer list with their opt-ins

## Questions About Audience Insights

### Audience insights

#### Who owns my buyer data?

You do. Your customer data stays in your account, is never shared with other organisers and is never used to promote competing events. Export your buyer list whenever you need it.

#### Why are my demographics empty when I have sold tickets?

Age appears as soon as buyers give a date of birth. Gender and professions come from an audience match that runs after your first sales and usually appear within about 24 hours. Where you collect gender at checkout, it shows from checkout.

#### Is this my buyers' own data or an estimate?

Ages, devices, locations and repeat buyers come from your own completed orders. Gender and professions come from an audience match after your first sales. None of it is a modelled panel or a bought-in lookalike audience.

#### Where do the cities and countries come from?

From the billing address on each order, not the event venue or where the buyer was when they bought. Orders with no billing country stay in the total and show as orders with no location on record. Under Specific events you can pick up to 500 events, and the report adds them together.

#### Who counts as a customer?

A person who placed a paid, payment-plan or resale order on one of your brand's events. Complimentary tickets do not add someone to Customers, so find a comped guest on the event's ticket list. A payment-plan buyer joins from their first payment.

#### What does the buyer list export include?

Names, email addresses, the money columns, how many of your events each person bought for, tickets bought, referral figures, city, country and the two opt-in columns. A phone number is included only for buyers who agreed to receive texts from you. The file holds personal data, so store and share it with care.

#### Who on my team can see these reports?

On an event, you can open Demographics and Devices with an owner, admin, Stats or Limited Stats login. On a brand, you can open Geographics and Customers with an owner, admin or Stats login. Promoter and door logins see none of them.
