# Tickets in your buyers' wallets, always up to date

Your buyers can add each ticket to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. Each pass updates itself and, on iPhone, shows on the lock screen at the venue.

- Tickets in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet
- Passes that update when a ticket changes
- Your message on every ticket holder's lock screen

## Your buyers add their tickets to their phone in one tap

After checkout, each buyer sees Add to Apple Wallet and Add to Google Wallet beside their tickets. The same buttons wait in My tickets and in the checkout you embed on your own website. One tap puts the ticket in the wallet the buyer already uses, so they arrive with it ready and nobody searches an inbox at the gate.

Wallet passes are on for every event from the start, wherever your buyers can get their ticket PDF. When you turn ticket delivery off for an event, the wallet buttons go too. A buyer with several tickets for the same event sees them stacked as one entry in their wallet, and each ticket keeps its own code.

Every fixed word on the pass, such as its labels and status lines, appears in the language the buyer checked out in. A buyer who booked in Spanish reads a Spanish pass, and a buyer who booked in German reads a German one.

- **Add to Apple Wallet**: a pass on iPhone and Apple Watch
- **Add to Google Wallet**: a pass on Android phones
- **Stacked by event**: one wallet entry for a buyer's tickets
- **The buyer's language**: labels in the language they booked in

## Each pass shows the change as soon as you make it

When you move the date, change the start time or switch the venue, every pass already in a wallet updates by itself. When a buyer transfers, resells or refunds a ticket, the old pass stops working and the new holder gets a fresh one. Your buyers always carry the ticket that is true today, and your door team never argues with an out-of-date pass.

A buyer who passes a ticket to a friend sees their own pass marked as no longer valid, while the friend adds the new ticket to their wallet. A refunded ticket's pass loses its entry code, so a screenshot of it gets nobody in. A frozen ticket shows as frozen and comes back to life on the phone when you unfreeze it.

If you ever need to start again, you can revoke every pass for an event at once. The passes already in wallets stop working, and buyers can add a fresh pass from their order whenever you choose to offer passes again.

- **Live updates**: date, time and venue changes reach every pass
- **Transfers and resale**: the old pass stops and the new holder gets one
- **Revoke passes**: every pass for an event stopped at once

## Apple Wallet puts the pass on the lock screen at the venue

Each Apple Wallet pass knows the event date and the venue, so it appears on the buyer's lock screen on the day as they get close. They open their ticket without unlocking their phone or opening an app, so the line at the gate keeps moving. On the back of the pass, buyers find the door time, the entrance to use and the age policy.

A seated ticket shows the seat on the pass, so the buyer heads straight for the right block. The pass also carries the event's artwork and your brand color, so it looks like your event in the buyer's wallet. Passes tidy themselves away a few days after the event, so wallets do not fill up with old tickets.

- **On the iPhone lock screen at the venue**: the right ticket as fans arrive
- **Event guide**: door time, entrance and age policy
- **Seat on the pass**: the block, row and seat for seated tickets

## Your message reaches every ticket holder's lock screen

On the day, you can send a short message to every pass issued for your event, such as a gate change, a new set time or a weather warning. It appears on the pass and as a notification on each ticket holder's phone. Fans who never open your emails still see that doors open late or that the north gate has closed.

Your message stays on the pass, so a buyer who adds their ticket later still reads it. You can send one message an hour for each event, so two people on your team pressing send at the same moment never send it twice, and your ticket holders do not get a stream of alerts.

You can also add your own link to the back of every pass, such as parking, merchandise or the set times, and each pass links the buyer to their own order to upgrade or transfer.

- **Message to every pass**: a notification on each holder's phone
- **Your own link**: parking, merchandise or set times on the pass
- **Manage your ticket**: the buyer's order one tap away

## Screenshots and touts get nobody through your door

You can hold back the entry code until shortly before doors. Buyers add their pass straight away, and the scannable code appears on every pass at the moment you choose. A tout selling screenshots weeks before the show has nothing to sell, and your fans still get their ticket in their wallet the day they buy.

On Google Wallet, you can also turn on an entry code that changes every few seconds on the phone. A screenshot or a forwarded image stops scanning almost at once, and your door team sees in plain words that the pass looks like a copy.

When a buyer checks in, their pass greets them on the lock screen as they walk through the door. You can see how many passes were added on each platform and how many wallet holders checked in, and a pass registered on many phones shows up so you can look into it.

- **Code released before doors**: the scannable code appears when you choose
- **Changing code on Google Wallet**: a screenshot stops scanning
- **Wallet figures**: passes added and wallet holders checked in

## Your door team scans passes like any other ticket

A wallet pass carries the same entry code as the ticket PDF, so your door team scans it in the Entry Fairy app with nothing new to learn. Paper tickets, PDFs on phones and wallet passes all go through the same lane, and the person who holds the ticket now is the person who gets in.

Your ticket rules apply to every pass, including how often a ticket can scan, so a day ticket and a weekend ticket behave the same in a wallet as on paper. When a pass is refused, the Entry Fairy app shows your door team the reason in plain words.

- **Same entry code**: passes, PDFs and paper scan alike
- **Entry Fairy app**: your door team scans on their own phones
- **Refusals explained**: the reason shown in plain words

## Every pass carries your name and brings back new buyers

Each pass shows your brand's name as the issuer, so the notification on a fan's phone comes from you. The pass also carries the buyer's own share link, so a fan who shows a friend their ticket can send that friend to your event page, and the sale counts towards the buyer's referral rewards.

Members and season pass holders can add their pass to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet too, as a membership card with your brand's colors and logo. The card scans at your door with the same code, and it updates when you change the holder or the pass type.

- **Your brand as issuer**: notifications that come from you
- **Share link on the pass**: friends reach your event page
- **Membership cards**: season and member passes in the wallet

## How you can use wallet passes at your events

- ### A weekend festival with a late gate change

High winds close the north gate on Saturday morning. The festival sends one message to every pass, and campers read on their lock screens that the east gate is open before they reach the car park.
- ### A sold-out arena show

The promoter holds back the entry code until the morning of the show. Fans add their passes the day they buy, touts have no codes to sell, and the codes appear on every pass at breakfast time.
- ### A theater run with seated tickets

Each pass shows the block, row and seat. When a buyer passes Saturday's tickets to a friend, the friend adds new passes and the buyer's old ones stop scanning.
- ### A club with season ticket holders

Season ticket holders keep their membership card in their wallet all year. The same card scans at every home game, and it updates when the club moves a holder to a new seat.
- ### A conference that moves venue

The organizing team moves the conference to a bigger hall a month out. Every delegate's pass updates with the new venue, and on iPhone it appears on the lock screen when they arrive at the new address.

## Questions About Wallet Passes

### Wallet passes

#### Do my buyers need an app to keep their ticket on their phone?

No. Buyers add the pass to Apple Wallet on an iPhone or Google Wallet on an Android phone, which come with the phone. Buyers who prefer paper or a PDF still get their ticket by email.

#### Do I need to turn wallet passes on for my event?

No. Wallet passes are on for every event wherever your buyers can download their ticket PDF. When you turn ticket delivery off for an event, the wallet buttons go too.

#### What happens to a pass when I change the date or the venue?

Every pass already in a wallet updates with the new date, time or venue, and buyers do not need to add it again.

#### What happens to the pass when a buyer transfers or refunds a ticket?

The old pass stops working and loses its entry code. A transferred or resold ticket's new holder can add a fresh pass for the ticket they now hold.

#### Can I hold back the entry code until close to the event?

Yes. You choose how many hours before the event the code appears, up to 14 days. Buyers add their pass straight away, and every pass gets its code at the same moment.

#### How often can I send a message to every pass?

Once an hour for each event. The message can have a title of up to 60 characters and up to 500 characters of text, and it shows on the pass and as a notification on the buyer's phone.

#### Does the changing entry code work on Apple Wallet too?

No. The code that changes every few seconds is a Google Wallet pass setting. For Apple Wallet passes, holding back the entry code until close to the event protects your tickets from screenshots sold early.

#### Whose name appears on the pass?

Your brand's name, as the issuer of the pass and on its notifications, with your brand color and the event's artwork.

#### Who can send a message to every pass or revoke passes?

You need an owner or admin login on the event. Revoking stops every pass already in a wallet, so you confirm it by typing before it goes ahead.

#### Can members and season ticket holders use their phone wallet too?

Yes. A member or season pass can be added to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet as a membership card, and it scans at your door with the same code.

#### What can Fai do with wallet passes?

Fai can tell you how many passes were added and how many wallet holders checked in, send a message to every pass and set when the entry code appears. She shows you each change and waits for your yes first.
