# Sell Tickets on Your Own Website and Keep Buyers There

Your audience already visits your website, so let them buy there too. Paste one snippet from Ticket Fairy into your page, and buyers choose tickets, pay and get their confirmation without leaving your site. Match the checkout to your colours, choose what buyers see once they have bought and decide which websites may carry it. No website yet, or one that never shows what is on sale? Build one in your dashboard from ready-made sections, with your line-up, news, sponsors and ticket checkout, and publish it on your own web address.

- Buyers stay on your website to pay
- A checkout in your own colours
- A full festival or brand website with tickets built in

## Put a Buy Button, a Full Checkout or Your Events on Your Site

Choose the snippet that suits the page. A buy button opens your checkout from anywhere on your site, the full checkout sits right inside your event page, and the event listing shows your upcoming events, each with its own buy button. Point an embed at one event, or leave it open to sell any of your events.

In a hurry? Your event's embed page gives you a buy button snippet that works straight away, with no setup. Create a custom embed when you want your own colours, the full checkout or the event listing, and control over where it can appear.

The snippet works in a Custom HTML block in WordPress, a Code block in Squarespace or an Embed HTML element in Wix, and See it live previews your changes before your visitors see them.

- **Buy button**: opens your checkout from any page
- **Checkout on your page**: the full ticket checkout inside your page
- **Event listing**: your upcoming events, each with a buy button

## Let Buyers Pay Without Leaving Your Page

New buyers check out as guests, with no account to create, and returning buyers sign in with a code sent to their email. Buyers pay by card or with the wallet on their phone, and the checkout works on phones and desktops, including the browsers that open inside social apps. Every website sale is an order on your event, with the same capacity, confirmation email and door scanning as a sale on your event page.

Where an event needs more than a checkout, such as pay-what-you-want pricing, custom terms or a custom capture form, Ticket Fairy opens your full event page for the buyer, so they keep every purchase option. Your event page keeps selling alongside the embed, and you can share links to either.

Your [Meta pixel](https://www.ticketfairy.com/event-ticketing/tracking-pixels-analytics-integrations) hears about website sales the same way it hears about sales on your event page, so your ads learn from every buyer. Your own website analytics follows the whole visit, from the first page to the sale.

- **Guest checkout**: no account needed for new buyers
- **Card and phone wallet**: payment without leaving your site
- **Social app browsers**: checkout for buyers who tap through from a post
- **Your Meta pixel**: website sales reported to Meta

- [Give Buyers a Checkout They Finish, and Win Back the Ones Who Leave](https://www.ticketfairy.com/features/checkout/checkout-that-converts)

## Match the Checkout to Your Website

Choose a light or dark style, your main and highlight colours, the background and the text, and see each change in the live preview. Set the words on the buy button, a filled or outlined style and how rounded its corners are, and give your web designer custom CSS when they want full control. Each visitor sees the checkout in their own language, or in the one you choose.

Then choose what buyers see once they have bought. Show a thank-you message in your own words and keep buyers on your page, send them to a thank-you page of your own, or quietly tell your website the purchase finished so your web designer can show your own confirmation. Buyers get their tickets by email whichever you choose. On an event listing, choose how many events show on each page, their order and whether sold-out events stay visible.

- **Your colours**: main, highlight, background and text
- **Your button**: its words, its style and its corners
- **After someone buys**: a thank-you message, your own page or a signal to your site

## Sell Only on the Websites You Choose

List your own websites, and your checkout works only on them, so nobody else can put your checkout on their own site. Cover every subdomain of your site with one entry. Listing your site also switches on wallet payments for it, once your web designer serves the verification file from your domain.

Turn an embed off and it stops selling everywhere its snippet is pasted, while every setting and snippet stays saved for when you turn it back on. If you ever think somebody is misusing your embed, Get a new key stops every old snippet straight away, and new snippets take their place.

- **Your websites**: the checkout works only where you allow it
- **On or off**: pause an embed and keep its settings
- **Get a new key**: old snippets stop working straight away

- [Can you sell tickets directly from your own website?](https://www.ticketfairy.com/guides/sell-tickets-on-your-own-website)

![Ticket Fairy embed Security tab listing the websites the checkout may appear on, with the switch that turns the embed on or off](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-event-embeds--allowed-sites.png)

## Add Your Line-Up, Traders and Concierge to Any Site

The same embed page gives you snippets for your published line-up: a set-times timetable by day and stage, every act with their photo, bio and links, and your site map. Publish a change to the line-up and every website showing it updates. Your trader directory and your AI ticket concierge each have a snippet of their own, so buyers browse the food stalls and ask their questions on your site.

Until you publish your line-up, the line-up snippets tell visitors it has not been announced yet, so you can paste them in ahead of the announcement. The concierge chat bubble answers buyers from your event FAQs and the pages you teach it, and works only on the websites you allow.

- **Set-times timetable**: your line-up by day and stage
- **Trader directory**: the stalls and what they sell
- **Ticket concierge**: answers for buyers in a chat bubble

## Build Your Festival or Brand Website With Tickets Built In

A festival or club brand needs more than an event page: a home page, the line-up, news, sponsors and a way for fans to buy without being sent somewhere else. Name your site, say what kind of events you run and pick a theme, and your site starts with pages and starter content to change. Or ask Fai to draft the whole site from your events, your current website, a flyer or a few sentences about your brand.

Build each page from sections: a banner with a picture or a video, your line-up by day and stage, artist spotlights, speakers, a session schedule, a gallery, a Spotify player, a countdown to your date, a map of the venue, FAQs, sponsor logos, testimonials, a food and drink menu, downloads or packages side by side with their prices. Drag sections into order, hide one until you need it, and preview every page at desktop, tablet and mobile width.

With a Ticket checkout section, fans buy tickets for that event without leaving your site. Show your upcoming events as cards, only the events you feature, one event as a large card, or your next events that still have tickets. Each event shows its price and whether it is on sale, sold out or not on sale yet, so fans always see what they can buy.

- **Templates by event type**: pages and starter content ready to change
- **Ready-made sections**: banners, line-ups, galleries, maps and more
- **Ticket checkout**: sell one event right on the page
- **A first draft from Fai**: from your events, your old site or a flyer

## Keep Your Line-Up, News and Events Current

Add your line-up, speakers, sessions, news, sponsors, team, press, menu, FAQs and videos as content, then show them in any section on any page. Give each artist or news post its own page with one switch. Show the line-up you publish in the [Event Operating System](https://www.ticketfairy.com/event-operating-system), and your site updates each time you publish it again.

Choose to show all your upcoming events automatically, and new public events appear on your site while past ones drop off, or choose the events yourself and set their order. Switch on Fai autopilot and she adds each new public event to your website and describes pictures for screen readers, only for the jobs you switch on.

Add a newsletter sign-up that joins visitors to your mailing list, a contact form and an RSVP form, and read every reply under Form replies, marked as new, read, archived or spam. Name the address that gets an email for each reply, and add your Google Tag Manager ID to measure your site the way you measure the rest of your marketing.

- **Line-up and speakers**: each act or speaker with a photo and a page
- **News and blog**: posts with a cover picture and a publish date
- **Sign-ups and forms**: newsletter, contact and RSVP replies for your team

## Publish on Your Own Web Address With Confidence

Publish on a Ticket Fairy web address, or connect a domain you own such as tickets.yourbrand.com, and Ticket Fairy shows you the records to add at your domain provider. Before you publish, a checklist confirms that your home page has content, your events are listed and your web address is ready. Give each page its own search title, search description and share image for Google and social links.

Each version you publish is kept with who published it and when, so you can restore an earlier version and put it live in one step while your edits stay in the editor. Take the site offline whenever you need to, and your pages and content wait for you to publish again.

When two of you edit the same section, the second person to save is told a teammate changed it, and chooses to reload the teammate's version or keep their own. Nobody's work is overwritten without them knowing.

- **Your own domain**: or a Ticket Fairy web address
- **Before you publish**: home page, events and web address checked
- **Version history**: restore an earlier version in one step

## How Organisers Sell on Their Own Websites

- ### A Venue on WordPress

A music venue pastes the event listing snippet into a Custom HTML block on its What's On page. Every public show appears with its own buy button, sold-out nights stay visible and marked, and buyers pay with their phone wallet without leaving the venue's site.
- ### A Festival Website Built From Scratch

A festival asks Fai to draft a site from last year's website, then adds a line-up section fed by the Event Operating System, a sponsor wall and a weekend ticket checkout. It publishes on its own domain, and each line-up announcement updates the site the moment it goes public.
- ### A Club Brand With a Weekly Night

A club brand sets its website to show all upcoming events automatically, so each new Saturday appears as soon as it is public. A newsletter sign-up section grows the mailing list between nights.
- ### A Conference Selling From Its Agenda

A conference puts the full checkout on its agenda page with its own colours and fonts, and sends buyers to its own thank-you page with the joining instructions. The speakers and sessions sit on the same site, each speaker with a page of their own.
- ### An Agency Running Several Brands

An agency gives each client brand its own embed, limited to that client's website, and gets a new key the day a client changes web designer. Each client's sales stay on its own event orders and reports.

## Questions About Selling on Your Own Website

### Your own website

#### Who can create an embed or a website?

You need an owner or admin role for the brand. You or your web designer also need to be able to add a snippet to your website to use an embed.

#### Do buyers ever leave my website to pay?

Card and wallet payments stay on your website. Some pay-later and bank transfer methods open their own payment page and return the buyer to your website afterwards.

#### Why is the wallet button missing?

Wallet payments need your website listed on the embed and a verification file served from your own domain. Until both are in place, the checkout takes card payments only.

#### Can every event be sold through the embedded checkout?

Most can. Ticket Fairy opens the full event page for pay-what-you-want pricing, custom terms, custom capture forms or pages, tailored add-on choices, social or wallet checks and events with another ticketing partner, so buyers keep every purchase option.

#### Does the checkout work if a browser blocks cookies?

Yes. It works in the browsers that open inside social apps, even when they block third-party cookies.

#### What should I check after I change my website?

Place a test order on a phone and on a desktop after a redesign or a theme change. The checkout should still use the full width of your page and appear where buyers expect it.

#### Can I use a domain I already own for my website?

Yes. Enter the domain, such as tickets.yourbrand.com, and add the records Ticket Fairy shows you at your domain provider. If your provider has no ALIAS or ANAME records, connect a subdomain such as www.yourbrand.com. Changes at your provider can take up to an hour to work.

#### Does Fai publish anything on my website?

No. Everything Fai drafts waits in the editor for you to read, change and publish, and she asks before she publishes, takes a site offline or restores a version for you.

#### Can I take my website offline?

Yes. Take it offline and visitors see nothing at your web address until you publish again. Your pages and content stay in the editor.

#### Where do form replies go?

To Form replies in the editor, where your team can mark each one as read, archive it or mark it as spam. Ticket Fairy also emails the address you name in the website settings, and a newsletter sign-up joins the visitor to the mailing list you choose for that section.
