# Know How Your Tickets Are Selling at Any Moment

Open your event's Performance page to see how many tickets have sold and what the event has earned, with a row for every day of the run and a breakdown for every ticket type. Share live sales with a venue or co-promoter, see which sites send you visitors and how many of them buy, and check the weather at your venue beside your sales.

- Live sales shared with the partners who need them
- The orders behind any figure, ready to export

## See How Your On-Sale Is Going While It Happens

The figures across the top of your Performance page show the tickets sold and the net revenue, with the tickets sitting in buyers' carts underneath. They refresh while you watch, so you can follow an on-sale from your desk. Ticket Sales gives one row per day with running totals and a chart by day or by week, and Sales by Type shows what each ticket type has sold and earned, so you can decide which release to open next.

- **Performance figures**: tickets sold, net revenue and tickets in carts
- **Ticket Sales**: sales by day or by week, with running totals
- **Sales by Type**: what each ticket type has sold and earned

![Ticket Fairy Sales by Type tab showing how each ticket type performed for an event](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-analytics--sales-breakdown.png)

## Share Live Sales With Your Venue and Partners

Make a sales report link for the ticket types and add-ons a venue, co-promoter or sponsor has a stake in, and send it to them. They watch the number sold, the stock left and the revenue as tickets sell, without a role on your event. Hide the day-by-day sales to share totals only, and replace or delete a link the moment it reaches the wrong person.

- **Sales report links**: live sales for the ticket types and add-ons you choose
- **Totals only**: hide the day-by-day sales from a partner
- **Regenerate Link**: stop an old link and send a new one

![Ticket Fairy External/3rd-Party Sales Reporting section with the form to make a sales report link and a table holding one link](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-sales-report-link--reporting-card.png)

## Find Out Where Your Visitors Come From and How Many Buy

The Traffic report counts every visit to your event page, day by day or hour by hour, and splits direct visits from visits through a buyer's referral link or a promoter's link. Conversions shows how many visits reached your order confirmation page. Referrer URL lists the sites that sent you visitors, and the Languages and Devices sections show the language and the device each visitor browses with, so you know where to spend your next marketing budget.

- **Views**: visits, direct visits, referral visits and unique visits
- **Conversions**: the visits that reached your order confirmation page
- **Referrer URL**: every site that sent visitors to your event page
- **Languages and devices**: the language and device each visitor browses with

## Plan Around the Weather at Your Venue

Weather intelligence sits under your sales on the Performance page. See the conditions at your venue now and a forecast strip with your event days marked, with the high, the low, the chance of rain and the wind for each day. Months ahead, the Historical view shows what your event date is usually like, with the record high and low, so you can plan cover, water, heaters and staffing in good time.

- **Forecast**: the week ahead at your venue, with your event days marked
- **Severe-weather warnings**: warnings for the area around your venue and the hours they cover
- **Historical**: what your event date is usually like at the venue

## Answer Any Sales Question From the Orders Behind It

When no report answers your question on its own, filter the Orders table by ticket type, add-on, order status or [discount code](https://www.ticketfairy.com/event-ticketing/event-promo-codes), or search it, until the rows left are the orders you mean. Export them with one row per order or one row per ticket, and take them into a spreadsheet or your own reporting tool. Every table in the reports has Copy table, so you can paste the figures straight into a spreadsheet.

- **Orders filters**: narrow the orders to the ones your question is about
- **Order and ticket exports**: one row per order or one row per ticket
- **Copy table**: paste any report table into a spreadsheet

## Questions About Sales reports

### Sales reports

#### Is the Performance page live?

It refreshes about every five seconds while it is open in front of you, and pauses while the browser tab is in the background. There are no sales alerts, so keep the page open when you need to watch a figure.

#### Why do Ticket Sales and Sales by Type give different totals?

Ticket Sales leaves complimentary orders out and Sales by Type counts them, so where you issue guest, artist or crew tickets, Sales by Type is the larger of the two. Ticket Sales also counts tickets held but not yet paid for. Refunded tickets drop out of both.

#### What is the difference between Gross Revenue and Revenue?

Gross Revenue is the ticket price before sales tax, and Revenue is what you keep of it under your fee agreement. Both already have refunds taken off.

#### Does the person I share a sales report link with need an account?

Yes. Your partner signs in with a Ticket Fairy organiser login of their own when they open the link. They do not need a role on your event, and they see only the report. Anyone signed in to Ticket Fairy who has the link can open it, so send it only to the person it is for. The report refreshes every ten seconds.

#### Who on my team can see the sales reports?

Owners, admins and Stats logins see the whole Performance page, though Gross Revenue is hidden from a Stats login unless it is enabled for your account. A Limited Stats login sees the Ticket Sales report with no money columns, and a promoter sees only their own sales. Exporting tickets or add-ons from Orders needs an owner or admin login.

#### When does the weather show on my event?

Your event needs a venue chosen from the search under Venue Location, or an address entered by hand when you publish. The card shows from about 18 months before your event until two days after it ends. The current conditions and the forecast appear once your event is about a week away, and the forecast covers eight days from today. Before that, the Historical view shows what the first day of your event is usually like.

#### Does the Traffic report count my own team's visits?

Yes. Visits counts every opening of your public event page, your team's included. Conversions counts visits that reached the order confirmation page, free registrations included, so read it as your event page's hit rate and use your sales reports for exact order counts.

#### Can I get my sales into my own reporting tool?

Yes. Export the orders or tickets you need as a CSV file for a one-off. For a report that runs on a schedule, the Ticket Fairy command line returns the same figures as the dashboard as JSON.
