# Turn Every Comment Into a Ticket Sale

Club promoters and festival teams get the same question under every event post: where do I get tickets? A workflow answers each fan in their private messages within seconds, day and night, with their own invitation link to your event. Turn the same comments into a followers-only presale that grows your following and collects an email for every fan, or send a personal message to everyone who commented on a post, and see the ticket sales each one brings in.

- Every ticket question answered in seconds
- More followers and emails from every presale post
- Ticket sales counted for every message you send

## Answer Every Fan Who Comments TICKETS, Day and Night

A comment that asks for tickets is a fan ready to buy, and an answer at two in the morning is worth as much as one at noon. A workflow watches your posts for the trigger words you choose, such as TICKETS or LINK, and sends each fan who comments one of them a private message with their own invitation link to your event, straight away. Your team sleeps, and the sale still happens.

Capital letters never matter, so TICKETS, Tickets and tickets all count. Choose Exact word when you want the word on its own, or Anywhere in the comment to catch fans who add a question around it. Limit the invitation to the ticket types you choose, such as a presale release, and send a tidy short tf.link address so the message reads cleanly on a phone.

- **Trigger words**: TICKETS or any words you choose
- **Invitation by private message**: sent as soon as the fan comments
- **Ticket types**: the tickets each invitation can buy
- **Short link**: a tidy tf.link address in the message

## Choose the Posts It Watches and the Words Fans Read

Point a workflow at every post on the account, including the ones you publish in the Instagram app, or at the posts you pick, such as your line-up announcement. You decide the private message once, with the fan's username, the event name and their personal link placed where you want them, so every fan gets a message that sounds like you and greets them by name.

A new workflow is saved switched off, so nothing reaches a fan while you check it. Switch it on from the list when you are ready, and pause it the moment an event sells out or the on-sale moves. Each row shows its trigger words, the event it invites to, the invitations it has sent and when it last answered a fan.

- **All posts or selected posts**: the comments it reacts to
- **Your message**: with the fan's username and the event name
- **Off until you switch it on**: nothing is sent while you set it up

## See Every Fan It Answered

Activity on each workflow lists every fan it reacted to, newest first, with their comment, what happened and when. A fan who comments again is skipped because they already have their invitation, so nobody gets the same message twice, and a message the network would not deliver is marked so you can follow up in person. The totals above the list show how many workflows are switched on and how many invitations they have sent.

- **Activity**: each fan, their comment and what happened
- **One invitation for each fan**: no second message to the same fan
- **Invitations sent**: for each workflow and in total

## Grow Your Following While Fans Sign Up for Your Presale

An artist team or a club promoter with a big Instagram following can turn it into early ticket sales and more followers at the same time. Choose Followers-only presale for a workflow and every fan who comments your word, such as PRESALE, is asked by direct message to follow your account. Once they follow, they are asked for their email address, and they join the presale list for your event.

You word both sign-up messages yourself, with the fan's username and the event name in them. No ticket link goes out during sign-up, so you decide exactly when the presale opens. A fan who already follows you skips straight to the email question.

Choose a ticket link workflow when you want sales now, and a followers-only presale when you want a list first: more followers, an email for every fan and a launch at the moment you choose.

- **Follow first**: every fan on the list follows your account
- **Email address**: collected in the same conversation
- **Your sign-up messages**: asking to follow, then for the email

![Ticket Fairy workflow dialog for a followers-only presale, with the trigger word, the event, the message a fan gets and the options](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-social-workflows--presale-builder.png)

## Watch Your Presale List Fill Up

Presale sign-ups shows where each fan has got to: asked to follow, following and asked for their email, ready to invite, invited and bought, along with anyone who opted out. Each fan appears once for the event however many times they comment, and the launch button names how many fans are ready to invite, so you know the size of your presale before you send a single link.

- **Sign-ups**: every fan and the stage they have reached
- **Ready to invite**: the fans your launch reaches
- **Bought**: fans who paid with their personal link

![Ticket Fairy Presale sign-ups list with fans asked to follow, asked for their email and ready to invite, and the launch button](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-social-workflows--presale-signups.png)

## Send Every Fan Their Own Link in One Launch

When the presale opens, one launch emails every ready fan their own single-use invitation link, and fans who can still be messaged get the link in their direct messages too. You enter the email subject, the email message and the direct message once, and Ticket Fairy adds each fan's personal link for you. Because the email always goes, every fan gets their link even when a direct message cannot reach them.

Hide your presale ticket type on your event page and limit the invitations to it, and each fan's personal link opens it for them while everyone else sees only the tickets on public sale. The launch asks you to confirm before it sends, because emails and messages cannot be called back.

- **One launch**: every ready fan invited together
- **Email and direct message**: the link reaches every fan by email
- **Hidden presale tickets**: opened only by each fan's link

## Message the Fans Who Matter With a DM Campaign

A post with hundreds of excited comments is a crowd ready to buy. A DM campaign sends a personal message to everyone who commented on a post, to the comments you pick, to whole friend groups who talk to each other in your comments, to your fans with the most reach, or to a smart group of fans chosen from how often they comment and whether they have bought. Each person gets exactly one message.

Start a message from a saved template, such as an [early bird](https://www.ticketfairy.com/event-ticketing/event-promo-codes) offer or a last-chance nudge, and personalise it with the fan's first name, username and the event. Link the campaign to an event and Ticket Fairy creates a trackable ticket link, so you see messages sent, link taps, orders and sales, and the fans who converted. Start it now, schedule it for later or save a draft, and pause, resume or cancel it while it sends.

Use a workflow for fans who ask, and a campaign when you want to reach fans who already showed interest. A buzz builder can skip the fans who have already bought, so your message only reaches people still deciding.

- **Everyone who commented**: on a post, each person only once
- **Friend groups and top fans**: reach the fans who bring others
- **Message Templates**: your best messages, ready to reuse
- **Results**: link taps, orders and sales for each campaign

## Let Fai Set Up Your Replies, Presales and Campaigns

Ask Fai, the assistant inside your dashboard, to set up a ticket link workflow for your event on your Instagram, change its trigger words or message, pause it, or tell you how many fans each one answered. She sets up a followers-only presale with your words, tells you where every fan on the list has got to and launches it. She drafts and launches DM campaigns and reports their results.

Fai asks you to approve each step that reaches fans: creating a workflow, switching it on, launching a presale and starting a campaign. Nothing is sent until you say yes.

- **Ask Fai**: set up and switch on a workflow in a sentence
- **Presale progress**: where every fan on the list has got to
- **You approve each step**: nothing is sent until you say so

## How Organisers Turn Comments Into Sales

- ### A Club Night

A promoter adds a workflow for the word TICKETS on every post. Fans who ask at midnight on Friday get their link before they scroll away, and Activity shows each fan who was answered.
- ### An Artist's Tour Presale

An artist team runs a followers-only presale for the word PRESALE under its tour announcement. The account gains new followers during sign-up, and one launch sends every ready fan their own link the day before the public on-sale.
- ### A Festival Line-up Reveal

A festival sends a DM campaign to everyone who commented on its line-up post, linked to the event. The results show the link taps and orders it brought in, and the team reuses the message as a template next year.
- ### A Venue With Many Shows

A venue runs one workflow for each show, each watching only the posts about its own event. Every fan gets the link for the show they asked about.
- ### An Agency Working With Influencers

An agency sends a top fans campaign with a special offer to the commenters with the most reach. Their posts bring their own followers, and the campaign results show the sales it drove.

## Questions About Comment Replies, Presales and DM Campaigns

### Comment replies & presales

#### Who can set up workflows, presales and campaigns?

You need to be an owner or an admin of the brand, with your Instagram account or Facebook Page connected and your event published with its tickets set up.

#### How long do I have to message a fan who commented?

Instagram and Facebook allow one private message per comment, for 7 days after the comment. A workflow answers straight away, and its message is that comment's one private message.

#### Why didn't a fan get the ticket link?

Open the workflow's Activity to see what happened to their comment. The usual reasons are a comment on a post the workflow does not watch, a fan who already has their invitation, a workflow that is switched off, or the brand's monthly message allowance running out.

#### How many trigger words and posts can one workflow use?

Up to 30 trigger words, each up to 100 characters, and up to 100 selected posts. For more posts, choose All posts. A message can be up to 900 characters and must include the fan's link.

#### Which accounts can run a followers-only presale?

An Instagram account that can confirm who follows it. When an account cannot, the workflow dialog says so and you can choose another connected account or send an invitation instead.

#### A fan followed but is still marked Asked to follow. Why?

The fan moves on when they reply to your account after following. Word the first sign-up message so it asks for that reply.

#### When does a fan show as Bought?

Once their paid order is matched to their personal link, in a daily update. Fans invited in the last 90 days are checked.

#### Can someone else use a fan's presale link?

Each link is single-use. Anyone with the link can use it, so a link a fan forwards and another person uses is spent for that fan too.

#### Why were some campaign messages not sent?

People who commented more than once are skipped, because each person only gets one message. Instagram also refuses some messages, usually when the comment is too old or the person's settings do not allow messages. You can pick up to 1,000 comments, or up to 50 friend groups, in one campaign.

#### What happens to invitations when I delete a workflow?

The workflow stops reacting to comments and leaves the list. Invitations it already sent stay valid.
