Steadily creating a niche for his brutally dreamy and alternative synth beats, Poulish Kid is accumulating a catalog that reflects his distinct identity. The release led us to have a chat with him about his latest single, his inspirations, his style of music, and his plans for the future; and here is what he had to say: **TFword: For our readers who may be new to your music, how did the Poulish Kid journey begin?** **Poulish Kid:**At the age of 16, I delved into various music programs and began producing music from my bedroom and before that, I played in several cover bands and had piano lessons. In 2020 came Corona. Fortunately, boredom and lockdown blues were foreign concepts to me. I promptly locked myself in my studio and made even more music than before. While the whole world froze in complete standstill, basses were booming in my space, and it quickly became clear that this stuff needed to be unleashed into the world. So, I started releasing my songs under the artist name POULISH KID. **TF: New single on Audiolith and it’s a delightful one. What are your thoughts on the release?** **Poulish Kid:**Fairytale is my first Indie track ever and I couldn’t be more proud. I love the energy of the song and the deep lyrics about FOMO. This song makes me very happy and is really a good mood booster. The blend of vocals** and melodies with a gritty punch is fascinating. How do you approach your productions? Poulish Kid: Before I started POULISH KID, I did a lot of electronic music like House and Trap music – typical EDM stuff. Before I started producing, I listened to oldies and Indie music. With POULISH KID I wanted to combine both genres EDM and Indie. In my productions, I combine samples with analog instruments – sometimes 808s on an acoustic drum set or what about mixing an acoustic guitar with auto tune. It is all about creating unique sounds with much energy and a good vibe. **TF: Having shared stages with the likes of Oliver Tree and GASHI, how has the experience been for you?** **Poulish Kid:**Being on stage with Oliver Tree and later on with Gashi was absolutely life changing. Oliver Tree is one of my heroes and he is the kindest person ever. Meeting him was mind blowing and opening his show was so incredible. The crowd went crazy. Also, Gashi is a nice person and both really took the time to talk to me and to motivate me to move on. **TF: Who inspired you to make music?** **Poulish Kid:**My dad. He is a very passionate musician and plays in several bands. I learned a lot from him and I also made a lot of music with him in the past. My dad also motivated me to take piano lessons and he also taught me how to play the drums and the guitar. My parents in general are very supportive and are probably my biggest fans. **TF: As the festival season comes closer, what are you most looking forward to this summer?** **Poulish Kid:** I’m looking forward to playing a couple of shows while making new music. I also going to support ESKEI83 with our track “Lift Off”. This is always so much fun to perform with him on stage in front of thousands of raving people. **TF: What’s coming up next for Poulish Kid?** **Poulish Kid:** This year is full of new music and I’m very happy to release my debut Album in September 2023.
