# Let a partner hand out their own tickets for your event

A club promoter promises the support act's manager tickets for the night, and the radio station running a competition needs some too. A delegation gives each partner a counted allocation and a sign-in link of their own, so they add their own guests and cannot go past the number you set.

Give an act's management, a radio station or a sponsor a fixed allocation they can hand out themselves, without a login to your event and without asking you each time.

Pour: Handing a counted allocation to a partner who issues their own tickets

Durée: 6 minutes

- [Start a delegation](#step-1)
- [Name it after the partner](#step-2)
- [Set what they can hand out, and how many](#step-3)
- [Say who holds it](#step-4)
- [Copy the access link](#step-5)

## Avant de commencer

- You're an owner, an admin or a curator on this event. Those three roles can create a delegation and manage who holds it.
- Your ticket types exist. A partner hands out the types you already sell, so build them first.
- You have decided the limit for each partner, because that number is the most they can hand out.

1. ## Start a delegation

Open your event, select **Delegations** and select **Create Delegation**.

**Remarque:** One delegation is one partner, so make a separate one for each act, station or sponsor rather than one shared allocation.
![The Delegations page of a festival, with three partners and the controls to manage or remove each one](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-delegations--delegations.png) Delegations.
2. ## Name it after the partner

   Enter the **Delegation Name**.

**Remarque:** Name the person or group you are giving it to. That name is what you read down the **Delegations** list later, and it is what the partner sees at the top of their own page.
3. ## Set what they can hand out, and how many

Select **Add Ticket**, pick a **Ticket Type**, enter a **Quantity** and choose the **Type**.

   - **Guest Ticket**: The partner gives the ticket away out of your stock.
   - **Invitation**: The partner invites a guest to buy the ticket. An invitation row also needs an **Email Template**, and will not save without one.
**Remarque:** Add a row for each type the partner can reach. **+ Create new template** in that column opens the Email Templates page in a new tab, so you can save the wording first.
4. ## Say who holds it

Select **Add User** and enter the **First Name**, **Last Name** and **Email Address** of the person.

**Remarque:** Several people can hold one delegation, which suits a management company where two people book. They share the one allocation rather than getting one each.
5. ## Copy the access link

Select **Manage Access** on the saved delegation, then select **Copy access link** beside the person's name.

**Remarque:** The link belongs to the delegation, so everybody you added uses the same one. Saving also emails each of them their invitation once your event is published, so copy the link for the times you want to send it yourself.

## Ou faites-le faire pour vous

Setting up a delegation is dashboard work. Fai, the assistant inside your dashboard, can issue guest tickets directly when you would rather keep the list yourself than hand an allocation over.

### Dans votre tableau de bord, avec Fai

Issue four guest tickets on the artist tier for \<EVENT NAME\> to the support act's manager, and show me the list before you send

### Depuis votre propre assistant, via MCP

Connectez votre assistant à [notre serveur MCP](https://www.ticketfairy.com/mcp-server) et demandez-lui :

Conservez `--read-only` dans votre configuration MCP. Cette tâche ne fait que lire des données, votre assistant n’a donc pas besoin d’outils qui effectuent des changements.

Pick the brand, find the event \<EVENT NAME\> and show its ticket types

## Laissez Fai le faire pour vous

Fai travaille dans votre tableau de bord Ticket Fairy. Créez votre compte, ouvrez Fai et collez la consigne ci-dessus.

## Change an allocation later

1. ### Raise or lower the limit

Open the delegation and select the pencil beside the **Quantity**. **Confirm Delegation Update** takes the new limit and **Ok** saves it.

**Remarque:** Lowering it below what the partner has already issued does not take those tickets back. It stops them issuing more.
2. ### Add or remove a person

Select **Manage Access** on the delegation.

**Remarque:** Removing a person ends their access straight away. The link belongs to the delegation, so everybody still on the list keeps using it.

Changing a delegation is dashboard work. Fai can tell you how many guest tickets have been issued on the event so far, which is the figure you want before you raise a limit.

### Dans votre tableau de bord, avec Fai

How many guest tickets have been issued for \<EVENT NAME\>, and on which ticket types?

## Questions que vous pourriez avoir

Does a delegation give the partner access to my dashboard?: No. They get one link that does one job: issuing from the allocation you gave them. They never see your sales, your buyers or the rest of your event.

What is the difference between a guest ticket and an invitation here?: A guest ticket is issued free out of your stock. An invitation lets the person buy the ticket themselves, which suits a competition or a member presale where the partner picks who gets the chance rather than who gets in free.

Who can create a delegation?: You can with an owner, an admin or a curator login on that event. If **Delegations** is not in your event's menu, ask an owner or an admin to set it up for you.

What happens to a partner's tickets if I delete the delegation?: Guest tickets they already issued stay valid, because they are real orders on your event. Invitations nobody has bought yet stop working, along with the access link, so let the partner finish an open invitation round before you delete the delegation.

Can two partners share one allocation?: Only by holding the same delegation. Add both people to it and they draw on one limit, which is right for two bookers at the same company and wrong for two separate partners.
