[Denver C](https://www.ticketfairy.com/fr/word/author/denverctf.md) 4 février 2022 · 2 min de lecture The International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) reported that a team mapping radio waves in the universe have discovered something unusual. Astronomers recorded radio signals beaming out of a spinning space object every 18 minutes. A lot about this anomaly remains unidentified despite the object’s discovery in 2018. It became one of the brightest radio sources in the sky. The latest study reveals that object appears and disappears for a few hours during the astronomers’ observation times. Radio emissions occur when a dense core consisting of neutrons is left behind after a star explodes. These neutrons produce radio emissions as they spin. Sounds in space are very well-documented by NASA and other space-related agencies. The Roar of Jupiter, Plasma Waves, Saturns Radio Emmisson, to name a few, are some of the recorded sounds astronomers have caught in recent years.  \[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7RnyKyeKAc&w=560&h=315\] The object was discovered by Curtin University Honors student, Tyrone O’Doherty, using the [Murchison Widefield Array](https://www.mwatelescope.org/telescope)  telescope in Western Australia. Astrophysicist Dr. Natasha Hurley-Walker, who led the team that made the discovery,  [said](https://www.icrar.org/repeating-transient/)  in a report, “It was kind of spooky for an astronomer because there’s nothing known in the sky that does that. And it’s quite close to us—about 4000 lightyears away. It’s in our galactic backyard.” She further mentions that they are putting new lights and are searching for things that nobody expects to find.
