Threaded together by [Banished Music](https://banishedmusic.com/), the musical ensemble led by singer and multi-instrumentalist Hollie Fullbrook will be seen on stage in Dunedin, Wellington, Auckland, Napier, and more throughout May 2023. Originally a solo outing for Fullbrook initiated in 2009, Tiny Ruins grew into a four-piece outfit famed for their singles ‘[Meet Me At The Museum, You In The Wintergardens](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOQL4P1acNU),’ ‘[Bird In The Thyme](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kScLsa0Vrhs)‘ and ‘[Carriages](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfOlJ20igR4).’ In the months leading up to the album’s release, the ensemble released a new track from the album each month in 2023. The album release tour will then take them to Port Chalmers Town Hall in Dunedin (May 12), Sherwood in Queenstown (May 13), Meow in Wellington (May 19), Paisley Stage in Napier (May 20), St. Peter’s Hall in Paek?k?riki (May 21), and Theatre Royal in Nelson (May 25), with a concluding performance on home turf at [The Hollywood Avondale](https://www.hollywoodavondale.nz/) in Auckland on May 27, 2023. Aside from singer Hollie Fullbrook, the band consists of bassist player Cass Basil, drummer Alex Freer and guitarist Tom Healy. Christiane says, “Holly had lots of ideas for great little details, incorporating lyrics from the record into visual elements. In a way, it’s like a big eye spy for the songs. Compositionally I drew a lot of inspiration from an old Pre-Raphaelite painting by Waterhouse [‘Miranda’](https://www.hopkinscollection.com/greetingcards/prod_3967899-John-William-Waterhouse-Miranda-The-Tempest-1916.html) which we both agreed had the right wistful energy.” The artist also told us about her first experience listening to Tiny Ruins. She recounts, “The first time I heard Tiny Ruins was during the Olympic Girls Tour, it was like stepping into an oracles sanctuary or something, there was something holy and mysterious about it. I was pretty obsessed with that record since, despite being a big artist they feel like songs written by an outsider artist.
