Ce nouveau single fait résonner les vibrations de basse de George Joseph et la batterie de Jai Row Kavi. L’artwork et le teaser visuel captivant ont été imaginés par l’artiste visuel Chinmay Patkar, également chanteur-guitariste du groupe de Mumbai Corner Café Chronicles. [Delicate Surrender](https://www.youtube.com/embed/_ix21RgfDJw?feature=oembed) Avec « Delicate Surrender », le trio puise son inspiration dans la new wave, le gothique et le post-punk. La voix appliquée d’Aarifah porte le morceau, construit autour d’un usage optimal des synthés et des guitares. L’auditeur est plongé pendant quatre minutes dans une proposition de dream-pop, de shoegaze et de rock accrocheuse et propice à la danse. Le groupe décrit le titre comme « l’un de ses morceaux les plus introspectifs, mais aussi très dansant… alors pleurons tous de bonheur au rythme du cycle sans fin des promesses et des déceptions de la vie ». Long Distances s’est d’abord formé pendant la pandémie, au fil de sessions Zoom en ligne. En mai 2023, le groupe a pris d’assaut la scène de l’Antisocial à Mumbai, interprétant ses compositions originales ainsi qu’une superbe [reprise](https://www.instagram.com/longdistances.ig/) de « Dreams » de Fleetwood Mac.
