What was the spark or moment that made you realize Mumbai needed this kind of platform? HAMSHYRE**: It really came from wanting to give Mumbai a space where high energy electronic music across genres like UKG, bass, baile funk, speed house, etc could come together under one roof. With Power House by Hamshyre, the idea was not just to throw a party but to bring a fresh wave of international / global sounds as well and give the audience a taste of what’s new in these genres, and also create a space where they can both discover and dance their hearts out. **TF: The name “Power House” is quite evocative – what does it represent to you personally, and how does it capture the essence of what you’re trying to create? HAMSHYRE**: It really came from wanting to give Mumbai a space where high energy electronic music across genres like UKG, bass, baile funk, speed house, etc could come together under one roof. With Power House by Hamshyre, the idea was not just to throw a party but to bring a fresh wave of international/global sounds as well, and give the audience a taste of what’s new in these genres, and also create a space where they can both discover and dance their hearts out. **TF: How do you approach curating the line-up for Power House? What criteria do you use when selecting artists, and how do you ensure that a diverse sonic palette is maintained while maintaining cohesion? HAMSHYRE:**As you know, there’s so much talent around, and honestly, a lot of it comes from people I’m lucky enough to know personally and call my friends. For me, curating the lineup is about showcasing that talent while making sure each artist brings their own flavor. The idea is to create a diverse sonic palette but still keep it cohesive and also give new up-and-coming artists to showcase their art in the form of music. **TF: As an artist yourself, how does this concept reflect your personal style and approach to music? HAMSHYRE:**This concept is basically me bringing my own style to the floor with a lot of my own edits, remixes and original music. So for me, Power House is a direct reflection of how I approach music, keeping it high energy and maintaining the balance between all genres that I listen to. HAMSHYRE:**Meeting the one and only “Skrillex,” I think, was the most rewarding moment in my music journey so far. **TF: Who are some artists or collaborators who have played a key role in your growth? HAMSHYRE:**Artists like Skrillex, Sam Gellaitry, Joyryde, Sammy Virji, and Hamdi have played a vital role in my growth. **TF: How important is community and scene-building to you as an artist? HAMSHYRE:**As an artist, community is everything. Music feels bigger when it’s shared, and building a scene means we all get to grow together, support each other, and keep the culture alive. So yeah, it’s very important to me. **TF: How would you describe your evolution from your first projects to now? HAMSHYRE:** I’d say the evolution has been immense. It’s been all about growth and refining my skills to the point where I’m confident in my music and have a stronger vision of where I want to take it. **TF: What new directions or sounds are you currently exploring? HAMSHYRE:**Right now I’m exploring faster, high energy and a mix of harder, more energetic club sounds, cause I’m in that power house zone, so yeah, this is the vibes we’re going for. **TF: What do you hope people take away from the first Power House night? HAMSHYRE:**I just want people to walk away feeling like they were part of the start of something special. A night where they felt that they experienced something fresh and different. Most of all, I hope it leaves them excited for what’s next! **TF: What does “going in with full power” mean to you as an artist and curator? HAMSHYRE:**“Going in with full power” means giving everything, bringing my music, energy, and vision together to create the most impactful experience possible. Or in other words, you can also say it means “we going ham” haha. **TF: If someone has never been to Power House, how would you describe what makes it stand apart from other nights in the city? HAMSHYRE:**Power House is all about pure energy, crowd connection and music that won’t let you down. It’s built to feel fresh with a diverse lineup and genres in the mix. It’s not just another night, it’s a vibe you don’t get anywhere else in the city. So just come and rage with us and join the powerhouse gang!! **TF: How do you see Power House evolving? Are you planning to expand to other venues or cities, or is maintaining that close-knit energy part of the core identity? HAMSHYRE:**There are definitely a lot of plans, but right now I’m taking it step by step and keeping my focus only on the first edition in Mumbai.
