There’s something for every fan, whether you’re discovering new talent or looking forward to having an unforgettable music festival experience. Here are a few music festivals taking place in New Zealand in 2026-2027 that we think you should go to!

Snow Machine Festival

If you’re someone who is into winter sports, you won’t want to miss this one! Snow Machine is a five-day festival taking place in Queenstown with more than thirty artists performing across eight stages. With two ski fields, DJ sets and performances from acclaimed artists, this is a unique music festival experience for many. Australian electronic music producer DJ Ninajirachi, Swiss deep house maven Nora En Pure, English singer-songwriter and rapper Example, Adelaide-born DJ and musician Restricted and Australian singer-songwriter Chet Faker are set to grace the Snow Machine Festival stages in New Zealand. This year the festival will take place from September 8 to 13, 2026.

Parklands Festival

Electronic music festival Parklands returns to Auckland for its sophomore edition this November. Liquid drum & bass giants Hybrid Minds lead the pack of artists announced in the first line-up, along with MC Tempza. The festival only started last year and will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026. What better way to spend a Saturday than grooving to the beats laid down by renowned electronic music artists in a park surrounded by lush greenery.

DnB producer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Fred V, British grime MC, rapper and songwriter P Money and DnB producer Whiney, EDM artist, singer-songwriter and vocalist Charlotte Haining, jump-up DnB heavyweight Turno who also offers house, grime, techno and bassline are on the phase one line-up with Croatia-raised premier house artist Matroda, Zero, Sydney-born LA-based house DJ/producer Wax Motif, and Italian DJ/producer and songwriter Gravagerz rattling the dancefloor by combining electronic music with high-energy house, UKG, and dubstep. 

High Tide Festival

Billed as “Wellington’s Seaside Festival Paradise,” the High Tide festival returns to Wellington for its fifth consecutive year. Hybrid Minds + Tempza and MK (NZ Exclusive) will serve as the headliners, while English rapper Ocean Wisdom (NZ Exclusive) will be the special guest for High Tide 2026. One of Aotearoa’s finest DJs HALFQUEEN, British electronic music artist James Poole, Kellar B2B Jim Jonathan, and Sydney-based Ben Gerrans are on the line-up alongside power-packed acts like Fred V, Charlotte Haining, P Money, Whiney, and more. High Tide will bring floor-shaking sets to Wellington on November 7, 2026. 

Hidden Valley

Hidden Valley returns to the Makatana Country Park for a one-day electronic music spectacle with sixteen international talents confirmed to take the festival stage at its 2026 edition. About fifteen international artists will assemble at the fifty-acre estate, Makatana Country Park in Makatana. Drum & bass wiz Dimension from London and American Grammy-nominated veteran DJ/producer and remixer Armand Van Helden will be headlining the 2026 edition of Hidden Valley.


UK’s bass music export Hamdi, UKG titan Oppidan, Brisbane’s DJ/producer duo X Club, renowned name in UKG, bass and house music artist MPH, South Sudanese-Australian DJ Skin on Skin combining techno, house and hip-hop, London-based DJ/producer Effy, and UK house music producer Riordan. This is the perfect outing for those looking for a daytime party that runs until the skies get decked with stars.

Electric Avenue Festival

Multi-genre music affair Electric Avenue Festival returns to Christchurch next year for its 2027 edition. Scheduled for February 26 – 27, 2027, the music gathering will be held at North Hagley Park, a 1.82 million square meter space on 14 Riccarton Avenue. The 2026 festival saw New Zealand-based rock band Split Enz and Australian tech house superstar Dom Dolla top the bill on Day 1 and Day 2, respectively. The festival also saw mind-boggling performances from UKG, dubstep and bassline heavyweight Sammy Virji, American singer-songwriter Kesha, London’s electronic music pair Bassment Jaxx, English singer Becky Hill, Norwegian electronic music duo Röyksopp, and Drax Project – a pop and R&B outfit formed in Wellington, among many others. The line-up for the 2027 festival is yet to be revealed.
