# Build a spell with Fai for your event team

When a job sits between the pages Ticket Fairy already has, such as chasing artist riders or tracking sponsor deliverables, a spell puts it where your event team already works. Fai builds it from a plain description, with your own events, artists and team in it from the first preview.

Takes:  10 minutes

- [Open Spellbook](#step-1)
- [Describe what your team needs](#step-2)
- [Choose an event to start from](#step-3)
- [Select Make it with Fai](#step-4)
- [The order Fai builds in](#step-5)
- [Answer Fai's questions](#step-6)
- [The spell taking shape](#step-7)
- [Make the spell](#step-8)
- [Try the spell in Practice](#step-9)
- [Practice and Live](#step-10)
- [Point at the part you want changed](#step-11)
- [Ask for the change](#step-12)
- [Open the share dialog](#step-13)
- [Choose who sees the spell](#step-14)
- [Share the spell](#step-15)
- [Check the tab in your event](#step-16)

## Before you start

- You can open Spellbook and make spells with any role on your brand's team that signs in to the dashboard. A spell shows each person only what their own role lets them see in Ticket Fairy.
- Spellbook works on every plan. Building and changing a spell with Fai uses your plan's Fai usage, the same as any conversation with her. Opening or using a spell uses none, apart from custom code, which uses a little each time it works something out.

1. ## Open Spellbook

   In your brand's menu, select **Spellbook**.
2. ## Describe what your team needs

   Under **What spell should Fai make for your team?**, enter the job the way you would tell a new colleague, such as "track our artist riders from requested to agreed, with who's looking after each act".

   **Tip:** Select one of the ideas next to **Need an idea?** to start from it. Name who uses the spell, what it shows and what counts as done, and Fai asks about anything you leave out.

   ![Spellbook page with the box for describing a spell, the event picker and Make it with Fai, above the team's spells and three ready-made spells](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-spellbook--home.png)
   *The Spellbook page, with your team's spells under the box.*
3. ## Choose an event to start from

   Optional: In **Any event**, choose the event Fai should look at first.

   **Note:** Fai reads that event's data first and shows you the spell with it. Leave it on **Any event** and she asks when she needs one.
4. ## Select Make it with Fai

   Select **Make it with Fai**. The studio opens, with your conversation with Fai on the left and your spell on the right.

## The order Fai builds in

Fai starts from what Ticket Fairy already does. If a page already does the job, she tells you where it is and builds nothing. If the data is in Ticket Fairy but no page shows it your way, she adds a tab to the page your team already uses, such as a Riders board in Artists that reads each act's Advancing status. She builds a new app, with its own lists, statuses, pages, buttons and forms, when nothing else fits.

5. ## Answer Fai's questions

   Select the answer that fits each question, or enter your own in **Or enter your own answer** and select **Send**. Each answer is built from your own events, acts and team.

   **Note:** Fai usually asks two to five questions, and never more than six. Where a question takes more than one answer, select each one and then **Continue**.
   **Tip:** Select **Skip the questions** at any time, and Fai makes the spell with sensible choices of her own and tells you what she chose.

   ![Fai asking what each card on a Riders board should show, with answers taken from the festival's acts, beside the spell marked Taking shape](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-spellbook--questions.png)
   *One of Fai's questions, with the spell taking shape beside it.*

## The spell taking shape

After each answer, the right-hand side shows the spell as Fai understands it: its name, where it goes, such as a Riders board tab in Artists, and what it shows, in your own words. It says **Taking shape** while she asks, and **Ready to make** when she knows enough. Select **Change** on any line to put it right in your own words.

6. ## Make the spell

   When the spell says **Ready to make**, read Fai's plan and choose "Make the spell".

   **Note:** Choose "Change something" to tell her what to change first. She makes nothing until you choose.

   ![Fai's plan for a Riders board tab in Artists with the choices Make the spell and Change something, beside the spell marked Ready to make](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-spellbook--ready-to-make.png)
   *Fai's plan, ready for you to make the spell.*
7. ## Try the spell in Practice

   Fai makes the spell, checks it with your data and shows it in **Practice** beside the conversation, under **Preview** on a phone. Choose an event in **Preview with an event** to see the spell with that event's data.

   **Note:** The line under Practice says "Only you have this spell so far. Share it when it's ready." Nothing reaches your team's pages until you share it.
   **Tip:** Use **Phone** to see the spell the way your team sees it on a phone, and **Computer** to go back.

   ![Spellbook studio in Practice with the conversation with Fai on the left and the Riders board inside Artists on the right, showing each act by Advancing status with parts confirmed, set time and who looks after it](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-spellbook--studio.png)
   *The studio: Fai on the left, your spell in Practice on the right.*

## Practice and Live

Practice is where you and anyone else who can change the spell try things out, with the spell's own practice entries. Buttons don't send anything there, and the rest of your team doesn't see it. **Live** is the spell your team uses, where buttons really do things. Fai makes every change in Practice, and your team gets the changes when you share them.

8. ## Point at the part you want changed

   Select **Point to change** above the preview, then select the part of the spell you want changed.

   **Note:** The part you selected appears above the message box, and Fai changes that part and nothing else.
9. ## Ask for the change

   Select one of the ideas for that part, such as **Add something to each card**, or enter the change in your own words and select **Send**. Fai makes the change in Practice, checks it with your data and updates the preview.

   **Tip:** Use the message box without pointing at a part for a change to the whole spell, such as a new page or a different name.
10. ## Open the share dialog

    Select **Share with your team** at the top of the studio. The dialog lists exactly what your team gets, such as each tab the spell adds and its own pages in Spellbook.

    **Note:** If you added entries while practicing, the dialog offers to bring them, ticked already. Leave it ticked to keep them, or untick it to start the live spell without them.

    ![Share this spell with your team dialog listing a Riders board tab in Artists, with Who sees it set to Everyone on your team](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-spellbook--share.png)
    *Sharing lists exactly what your team gets.*
11. ## Choose who sees the spell

    In **Who sees it**, choose who gets the spell.

    - **Everyone on your team**: Your team gets every tab and page in the list. Each person sees the data their own role can see.
    - **Only you**: The spell stays yours, and the button in the dialog becomes **Use it yourself**.
12. ## Share the spell

    Select **Share with your team**. Ticket Fairy confirms with "Shared. Your team sees it now."

    **Tip:** Select **Undo** in that message to give your team back exactly what they had before.
13. ## Check the tab in your event

    Open the event, select **Artists** and then the Riders board tab next to it. Your team sees the same tab. The small Made with Fai mark beside the tabs offers **Change it** to anyone who can change the spell and **Open in Spellbook** to everyone.

    **Note:** A button in a spell that changes something in Ticket Fairy, such as sending a rider request, first says what it will do in Ticket Fairy's own words. It runs only after the person selects **Do it**.
    **Tip:** To make a view for another section of your event, select **Add a view with Fai** at the end of that section's tab row. The studio opens with the section and the event already filled in.

    ![Riders board tab next to Artists, made with Fai, showing every act in its Advancing status with parts confirmed, set time and who looks after it](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-spellbook--riders-board.png)

## Or have it done for you

Fai builds spells from her panel as well as from Spellbook. She looks at your data, asks her questions and makes the spell in Practice, where only you see it, and you open it in Spellbook to see it beside the conversation. She asks before she shares a spell with your team or archives one. An AI assistant connected to the Ticket Fairy MCP server can make a spell too: it saves the spell in Practice, and it shows you what changes for your team before it shares.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
Make a spell that adds a riders board to Artists with each act's advancing status, how many parts are confirmed and who looks after the act
```

### From your own assistant, over MCP

Connect your assistant to [our MCP server](https://www.ticketfairy.com/mcp-server) and ask it:

The copied MCP configuration includes `--read-only`. Remove `--read-only` only when you want your assistant to make changes. Your assistant makes routine changes when you ask, and checks with you before a destructive action if your client supports that. If your client cannot ask, make the change in your dashboard.

```
Pick the brand <BRAND>, then make a spell that tracks artist riders from requested to agreed, with who looks after each act. Save it in Practice, then show me what changes for my team before you share it
```

## Undo a change or go back to an earlier point

1. ### Undo your last request

   Select the **Undo** arrow at the top of the studio, or press Ctrl+Z (⌘+Z on a Mac).

   **Note:** Each press steps back over one of your requests to Fai. Select **Redo** or press Ctrl+Shift+Z (⌘+Shift+Z) to step forward again while nothing else has changed the spell.
2. ### Go back to before a request

   In the conversation, select **Go back to here** on the checkpoint line above the request.

   **Note:** Each request you send in this visit gets a checkpoint line with the time you sent it.
3. ### Open History

   Select **History** at the top of the studio. Every change is listed, newest first, with who made it and when.

   **Tip:** Select **What changed** on a point to see its changes in plain words, or **Name this point** to give it a name you'll recognize, such as Before the festival.

   ![Spellbook History listing each change to the Riders board spell, newest first, with who made it and Go back to this on the earlier point](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-spellbook--history.png)
   *Every change to the spell, with a way back to any of them.*
4. ### Go back to an earlier point

   Select **Go back to this** on the point you want.

   **Note:** Going back adds a new step in Practice, so you never lose anything. Your team keeps what you last shared until you share again. Going back changes the spell only: it doesn't unsend messages or undo the changes the spell's buttons made to Ticket Fairy records, which keep their own history.

Fai can take a spell back to an earlier point too. She asks before she does, the change stays in Practice, and your team sees it after you share. As in History, going back changes the spell only, not messages already sent or Ticket Fairy records its buttons changed.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
Take <SPELL NAME> back to how it was before you added the set times
```

## Start from a ready-made spell

1. ### Select a ready-made spell

   On the Spellbook page, under **Or start from one of these spells**, select a spell. It opens in the studio in Practice, where only you see it until you share it, so you can try it safely.

   **Note:** Each card says where the spell goes, such as a tab in Artists, or a new app. Choose an event in **Any event** first and the studio shows the spell with that event's data.
2. ### Change it to suit your team

   Ask Fai for any change in the studio, then share the spell when it is ready.

Fai can add a ready-made spell from her panel. It arrives in Practice, where only you see it until you share it.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
Add the ready-made riders board spell to our Artists page
```

## Change a spell your team already uses

1. ### Open the spell in the studio

   In Spellbook, select **Change with Fai** on the spell under **Your spells**. On the spell's tab in an event, select the Made with Fai mark beside the tabs and then **Change it**.

   **Note:** Selecting the spell's name opens it as your team uses it. If you can't change the spell, you get **Ask Fai** there for help with it. The person who made a spell, your brand's owners and admins, and any role you asked Fai to add can change it once it is shared.
2. ### Start practice from your team's entries

   Optional: Select **Start practice again from live entries**, then **Start again**, to try your changes on a copy of the entries your team has added.

   **Note:** The practice entries are replaced with a copy of the newest 1,000 live entries of each list. The live spell doesn't change.
3. ### Make the change and share it

   Ask Fai for the change, then select **Share with your team** when it is ready.

   **Note:** Until you share, your team keeps what you last shared, and the line under Practice says how many changes are waiting, such as "Your team uses the version you last shared. 3 changes are waiting to be shared."

Fai makes your changes in Practice from her panel, checks them with your data and asks before she shares them with your team.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
In <SPELL NAME>, show the acts with nothing confirmed first, then share the change with my team
```

## Fix a spell that stopped working

1. ### Open the spell that needs fixing

   Select **Fix with Fai** in the message Ticket Fairy sends you, or open the spell from Spellbook, where its card says **Needs fixing**. Its page lists each problem under "This spell needs fixing", and in the studio you select **See what needs fixing** to read them.

   **Note:** Ticket Fairy checks every shared spell each day and each time someone shares it. When a spell stops working, everyone who can change it gets one message in the dashboard and one email, and the spell lists each problem in plain words.

   ![Artist riders' page with This spell needs fixing: Your team's live spell uses something that is no longer there; "The page "Riders board" uses something Ticket Fairy no longer offers."; Checked 2 Nov, 08:15; Fix with Fai and Check again; then the event choice](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-spellbook--needs-fixing.png)
   *A spell that stopped working says what to fix, and Fai can fix it for you.*
2. ### Let Fai fix it

   Select **Fix with Fai**. The studio opens with the request to fix the problems typed in for Fai. Select **Send**, and she makes the fix in Practice and shows it to you.

   **Note:** Fai starts only when you send the request, and she checks the fix with your data. Your team keeps what you last shared until you share the fix.
3. ### Share the fix

   Select **Share with your team** when the fix is ready. Ticket Fairy checks the spell again as you share it, and **Needs fixing** goes away once the spell works.

   **Tip:** Select **Check again** on the spell to check it straight away, for example after your brand switches something back on.

Fai tells you whether a shared spell still works and what needs fixing, checks it again when you ask, and fixes it in Practice. She asks before she shares the fix with your team.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
Fix the problems in <SPELL NAME>
```

## Check what a spell's custom code uses and set its monthly limit

1. ### Open the spell's settings

   Open the spell in the studio and select **Settings** in the switch above the preview.

   **Note:** Settings starts with the spell's **Owner** and **Who can do what**, which says who can open the spell, add and change its entries, use its buttons and change it. Select **Change with Fai** there to ask Fai to change it.

   ![The studio's Settings on Artist riders: Owner (You own this spell, Transfer ownership); Who can do what (Producer can change it, add and change entries and use its buttons; everyone can open it) with Change with Fai; Languages; Custom code with This month (4 runs, £1.15 of £20.00 used), Monthly limit (This spell can use up to £20.00 of Fai usage a month, Change limit) and Recent runs; Calculations with one calculation and Test](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-spellbook--settings.png)
   *A spell's Settings: its owner, who can do what, its languages, its custom code use and its monthly limit.*
2. ### Read what its custom code used

   Under **Custom code**, **This month** shows how much of your Fai usage the spell's custom code used and how many times it ran. **Recent runs** lists each run, what started it and what it used.

   **Note:** Fai adds custom code only when the standard parts of a spell can't do the job, such as working out a score from several fields. A spell without custom code keeps this part folded.
3. ### Change the monthly limit

   Optional: Select **Change limit**, enter the most the spell can use in **Most it can use each month**, then select **Save limit**.

   **Note:** Your brand's owners and admins can change or remove a spell's limit. Everyone else sees "Only owners and admins can change the limit."
4. ### Test a calculation

   Optional: Under **Calculations**, select **Test** beside a calculation, enter example information and select **Run test**. The answer shows with what the test used.

   **Note:** Each test uses a little of your Fai usage, as each run of the calculation does.

Fai tells you what a spell's custom code used this month and its limit, tests a calculation with realistic examples, and changes or removes the limit for an owner or admin after she asks.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
How much has <SPELL NAME> used this month? Set its monthly limit to 40
```

## Give a spell to a teammate

1. ### Choose who looks after the spell

   Open the spell in the studio, select **Settings** and, under **Owner**, select **Transfer ownership**. Choose the teammate in **New owner**.

   **Note:** You can give away a spell you own. Your brand's owners and admins can give away any spell your team can see, and any spell a former teammate left. The list shows the people on your brand's team who can use Spellbook.

   ![Transfer ownership of "Artist riders" window over the studio's Settings: Priya Shah owns this spell now, New owner Tom Okafor, the line that the spell moves from Priya Shah to Tom Okafor and who sees it, its entries and its automations stay as they are, Cancel and Give it to Tom Okafor](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-spellbook--transfer.png)
   *Handing a spell to a teammate keeps who sees it, its entries and its automations.*
2. ### Confirm the new owner

   Check the names in the window and select the button that gives it to your teammate, such as "Give it to Tom Okafor". Your teammate gets a message that the spell is theirs now.

   **Note:** The spell keeps who sees it, its entries, its history and its automations. Each automation keeps running as the person who turned it on.

Fai lists the teammates who can look after a spell and gives it to the one you name. She asks first, with both names on the request.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
Give <SPELL NAME> to <TEAMMATE>
```

## Take over a spell a former teammate left

1. ### Find the spells former teammates left

   Open Spellbook and go to **Spells left by former teammates** on the page.

   **Note:** Your brand's owners and admins see this list when someone who left the team owned a spell. A spell that only its owner saw stays private: the list shows its name, who made it and when it last changed, and nothing inside it.

   ![The Spellbook page with Spells left by former teammates under the ask box: Bar stock count (Left by Sam Patel, 1 automation still on, Changed 12 Oct, Take over, Give to a teammate, Archive this spell) and Merch orders (Left by Sam Patel, Changed 30 Sept, Private, Take over, Give to a teammate)](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-spellbook--left-spells.png)
   *Spells a former teammate left, ready to take over or hand on.*
2. ### Take over the spell

   Select **Take over** on the spell, then confirm. The spell becomes yours to change, share or give to a teammate.

   **Note:** It keeps who sees it, its entries, its history and its automations. For a spell your team can see, your team's activity log shows who took it over and when.
   **Tip:** Select **Give to a teammate** instead to choose who looks after it.

Fai lists the spells a former teammate left and takes one over for you after she asks.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
Show me the spells left by people who left our team, then take over <SPELL NAME>
```

## Questions you might have

**Who can see a spell?**

 Only you, until you share it. Once you share it with everyone on your team, each person on your brand's team finds it in Spellbook and as a tab in the pages it adds to, and sees only the data their own role lets them see. Ticket Fairy support can open a spell that only you see when they help you with it.

**Who can change a spell?**

 You can change the spells you make. Once a spell is shared, your brand's owners and admins can change it too, along with any role you asked Fai to add. Everyone else on your team uses the spell as it was last shared and can ask Fai about it.

**What is the difference between Practice and Live?**

 Practice is where you and anyone else who can change the spell try things out, with the spell's own practice entries. Buttons don't send anything there, and the rest of your team doesn't see it. Live is the spell your team uses, where buttons really do things. Fai changes Practice, and your team gets the changes when you share them.

**What happens to my data?**

 Nothing is copied. A spell's pages read Ticket Fairy each time they open, as the person looking at them, so a Riders board always shows Advancing as it is now. A spell's own lists are kept in Ticket Fairy, with every change to an entry kept, and a button that changes something in Ticket Fairy says what it will do and waits for **Do it**.

**Can I undo a change to a spell?**

 Yes. **Undo** steps back over one of your requests at a time, **Go back to here** in the conversation goes back to before a request, and **History** lists every change with **Go back to this** on each. Going back adds a new step in Practice, so you never lose anything, and your team keeps what you last shared until you share again. Going back changes the spell only: messages already sent stay sent, and the changes its buttons made to Ticket Fairy records stay, with their own history.

**Can I undo sharing a spell?**

 Yes. Select **Undo** in the message that confirms the share, and your team gets back exactly what they had before.

**What are the entries marked Sample?**

 A new app can start with a few sample entries, marked **Sample**, so you can see how it works. Change one and it becomes yours, or select **Remove sample entries** to clear the ones nobody has changed.

**Why don't I see Spellbook?**

 Spellbook is in the brand menu, so open the brand you want to make a spell for first. If Spellbook opens with "Spellbook isn't available for your account yet.", the line under it says why.

**What happens when a spell reaches its monthly limit?**

 Its custom code stops until the next month starts, and the rest of the spell keeps working. Every new spell starts with a limit of 25 US dollars a month, in your brand's usage currency and rounded up to a whole amount, such as 20.00 GBP. When a spell has used 80% of its limit, the person who made it hears about it once that month, in the dashboard and by email, and so do your brand's owners and admins once the spell is shared with your team. An owner or admin can raise the limit in the spell's **Settings** at any time, or remove it.

**Can I use my spells from Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant?**

 Yes. Select **Use your spells from your AI assistant** on the Spellbook page to see how to connect the Ticket Fairy MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or another assistant. Signed in as you, your assistant lists your spells, opens their pages with live data, adds, changes and moves entries, and makes a spell or a change, which stays in Practice until you share it. It shows you what a button or a share will do and waits for your yes. A button that sends messages, moves money, uses Fai usage or can't be undone runs only on the spell's page in the dashboard. History marks each change made this way as made from an AI assistant.

**Does building a spell use my Fai usage?**

 Building and changing a spell with Fai uses your plan's Fai usage, the same as any conversation with her. Opening a spell, reading its pages and adding or moving entries in its lists use none. The one exception is custom code, which Fai adds only when the standard parts of a spell can't do the job: it uses a little each time it works something out, up to the spell's monthly limit.

**How do I stop sharing a spell or remove it?**

 To keep a spell to yourself again, select **Share with your team**, choose **Only you**, select **Use it yourself** and then **Make it private**. To take it off your team's pages for good, select **Archive this spell** at the foot of **History**: an archived spell keeps every change and entry, and you can open it from **Archived** in Spellbook and select **Bring it back**.

**What do I do when part of a spell says it needs updating?**

 If you can change the spell, select **Fix with Fai** on that part. Fai's panel opens with the request typed in, and she fixes the part when you send it. If you can't change the spell, select **Let them know**. Ticket Fairy tells the spell's owner in their dashboard inbox and by email, with a link to the page. If the owner is no longer on your team, it tells your brand's owners and admins and anyone else who can change the spell. You can tell them about each part once a day: a second try that day says "You already told them about this part today."

**Can I share out the work in a spell?**

 Yes. Open an entry in a spell's list, such as a rider, and under **People on this entry** select **Assign someone**, or **Watch** to follow it yourself. An entry can have up to 10 people assigned and 20 watching, and each one must be able to open the spell. The people you assign are told in their inbox, in the Ticket Fairy Promoter app and by email. **Assigned to me** on the Spellbook page lists every entry you are assigned to or watch, grouped by spell, with finished entries folded away.

**Can my team read a spell in their own language?**

 Yes. The words in a spell, such as list and field names, statuses, page titles and buttons, show in each person's dashboard language. Fai adds them in the languages your team uses when she builds or changes a spell. In the studio's **Settings**, **Languages** shows each language: select **Ask Fai to translate** for words still in British English, or **Correct the words** to change them yourself. Changes go into Practice, and your team sees them when you share. The spell's own name stays the same for everyone.

**Can I turn a spreadsheet into a spell?**

 Yes. Select **Start from a spreadsheet** on the Spellbook page, or **Add from a spreadsheet** on a spell you can change, and drop a CSV or Excel (.xlsx) file or paste the rows. You check how each sheet becomes a list, with a preview of the entries and anything left out, and nothing is added until you start. A file can hold up to 20 sheets and 20,000 rows a sheet. If the file holds something Ticket Fairy already keeps, such as suppliers or artists, Ticket Fairy tells you where it lives so you can use that instead. Fai does the same when you drop the file into a conversation with her.

**Can I download a spell's list?**

 Yes. Select **Download a list** on the spell's page, choose the list, and optionally open **Only some entries** to keep only one status or entries with certain words. Select **Download**, and the file downloads as soon as it is ready. It opens in Excel and stays available to download for 30 days. Only the people who can change the spell can download its lists, and every download is recorded. Fai can make the file too: she gives you a link to the spell's page, and you download it there.

**Can I use an event's spell again for my next event?**

 Yes. On the spell's page, select **Use for my next event**, choose the event in **Event**, tick the lists whose entries should come along under **Bring the entries of**, and select **Make the copy**. The copy is private to you until you share it, its automations arrive switched off, and brought entries start again at their list's first status. Only the people who can change the spell bring its entries. When you duplicate an event, its spells are copied too, without entries.

**Can I get a spell's page by email?**

 Yes, once the spell is shared. On the page, select **Email me this page**, choose **How often** and the time, and select **Set up the email**. It can go every day, every week on a day you choose or every month on a day from 1 to 28. Each email shows the page's numbers, the first 20 rows of each table, simple charts and a short line from Fai about what changed since the last email, with a button that opens the page.

**Can I send a spell's page to my team by email?**

 If you can change the spell, yes: choose them in **Also send it to** when you set up the email. Each of them must be able to open the spell, and each email shows only what that person can see in Ticket Fairy. Anyone who gets the email can stop their own copy with the "Stop these emails" link at the foot of it. If someone can no longer open the spell, they stop getting the email and you are told.

**Can I see a spell the way one of my team's roles will see it?**

 Yes. In the studio, choose a role in **See it as…** above the preview. The preview shows the pages, parts and buttons a teammate with that role gets, says why they don't get the rest, and nothing in it can be pressed. Select **Back to my view** to return. You can do this for the spells you can change, it shows a role, never a named teammate, and Ticket Fairy keeps a record each time.

**Where does a number on a spell page come from?**

 Select **How is this worked out?** under the number or chart. It says where the information comes from in Ticket Fairy, or which of the spell's lists it counts, the filters it uses, such as the event or a status, and when it was read, in your event's timezone. Fai can tell you the same.

**Can everyone on my team use a spell, including people who use a screen reader?**

 Fai builds spell pages that people who use a screen reader or only a keyboard can use too: buttons and links say what they do, headings follow in order, charts have titles, and color is never the only way to tell things apart. Ticket Fairy checks each spell when it is saved and when you share it, and Fai fixes what she finds. A check never stops you sharing: if something can't be fixed without changing what you asked for, Fai tells you before you share.

**What happens if a teammate changes the spell at the same time?**

 Neither change is lost, because every change adds a new step. If you go back to an earlier point a moment after a teammate changed the spell, you see "Someone changed this spell a moment ago. You're now seeing their change; try again." with their change in the preview, and Fai makes your change on top of theirs in the same way.

**Why does my spell say it needs fixing?**

 Something the spell uses changed after you shared it, such as a part of Ticket Fairy it reads that is no longer offered or not switched on for your brand, or a team role it names that no longer exists. The spell lists each problem in plain words, such as "The page "Riders board" uses something Ticket Fairy no longer offers.", and **Fix with Fai** opens the studio with Fai ready to fix it. When the event a spell is made for has ended, the spell says so as a note and keeps working.

**What happens to my spells if someone leaves the team?**

 Their spells stay as they are, and a spell only they saw stays private. Your brand's owners and admins find them in **Spells left by former teammates** and can take one over. Automations never run as someone who left: each one pauses before its next run, and the team is told so someone can turn it on again as themselves.
