# Change what your venue's page says

A venue page answers the questions people arrive with: which door, what the rooms are like, what happens at the gate. Your team shares the page, so you build it in sections that you can put in order, keep as drafts or take off again, and your team can see every change.

Takes:  7 minutes

## Before you start

- You need to be an owner or an admin, either of the brand that looks after the venue or of the venue itself, which is what claiming its page gives you. Other team members can see the venue in the list, but only owners and admins can open the page itself, because it can hold drafts nobody has published yet.
- You reach the venue under **Venues**, which Ticket Fairy support switches on for your brand. If you cannot find that entry, contact Ticket Fairy support to turn it on.

1. ## Open the venue you look after
    [Play from here](#guide-video)
   In your brand's menu, choose **Venues**, then select **Open** beside the venue.

   ![The Venues list with the venue pages a brand looks after](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-venue-page--your-venues.png)
   *Brand, Venues.*
2. ## Add the first section
    [Play from here](#guide-video)
   A page nobody has changed yet offers **Add the first section**, and a page with sections on it offers **Add a section** above the list. Select either, and a form opens beside the list.

   **Tip:** The empty page suggests how to get here, what the rooms are like and what to expect at the door.

   *Venues, a venue page with nothing on it yet.*
3. ## Enter the heading and the words under it
    [Play from here](#guide-video)
   Enter a name for the part in **Heading**, then enter what people need to know in **Text**.

   **Tip:** The form suggests three: Getting here, The rooms and Accessibility.
4. ## Say which language it is in
    [Play from here](#guide-video)
   Choose it in **Language**. It starts on the language the rest of the page uses, or the one you read the dashboard in when the page is empty.

   **Note:** A visitor reading the venue page in another language still sees this section in the language you chose.
5. ## Save the section
    [Play from here](#guide-video)
   Select **Save**. A new section goes on the public page straight away; with its switch on **Draft**, it stays off the page while you work on it.

   **Note:** You can't save a section without a heading or some text.
6. ## Put the sections in the order people read them
    [Play from here](#guide-video)
   Select **Move up** or **Move down** on a section's card. The venue page then shows the sections in the same order as the list.

   **Note:** Ticket Fairy saves the whole order at once, so if a teammate moves a section a moment before you do, your move doesn't save and the page stays in the order it was.

   ![Venue page sections with Move up, Move down, Edit and a draft switch](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-venue-page--what-this-page-says.png)
   *Venues, Page content.*
7. ## Put a draft on the page
    [Play from here](#guide-video)
   Turn the section's switch from **Draft** to **On the page**. It shows on the public page from then on.

   **Tip:** Turn the same switch back to **Draft** to take a section off the public page and keep it for your team.

## Two languages on one page

 [Play from here](#guide-video)

A venue in Mexico City has Spanish-speaking staff and English-speaking staff, and both manage the same page. You set the language on each section rather than on the venue, so one of you answers the parking question in Spanish and another keeps the accessibility section in English, and neither is wrong. Once the page has more than one language, each card says which language its section is in.

**Note:** A browser hyphenates a Spanish answer inside an English page correctly, and a search engine reads it as Spanish rather than as bad English.

## Two people saving one section

 [Play from here](#guide-video)

Your whole team share this page, so two of you can have the same section open at once. If you both save, Ticket Fairy refuses the second save for that section only: the words you entered stay in the form, the card tells you a teammate saved a change, and the control beside it loads the page again so you can save yours over theirs. If a teammate moves a section or flips a draft switch a moment before you, your change is refused the same way, and the list shows how it stands now.

**Note:** Neither of you can replace what the other entered without seeing it first.

8. ## Check the section is on the page
    [Play from here](#guide-video)
   A section on the public page shows **On the page** on its card, and one you're still working on shows **Draft**. Read the list from top to bottom, because that's the order on the venue page.

## Or have it done for you

Fai, your AI teammate, can check sales, update your event or change a ticket when you ask.

Fai can list the venues your brand looks after, show you every section and whether it's a draft, add one, change a heading or the words under it, set the order, take a section off the page and put it back. She never overwrites a teammate's save, and she asks you to confirm before each change. MCP and the CLI can't work on a venue page.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
Open the venue page for <VENUE NAME> and read me every section it has. Then add a section headed "Getting here" saying <WHAT PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW>, keep it as a draft, and show me the wording before you save it
```

## Take a section off the page, and put it back

 [Play from here](#guide-video)

A section you take off stops showing on the public page straight away, and Ticket Fairy keeps the words in it. The message that follows offers **Undo**, which puts it back where it was.

1. ### Take the section off the page

   Select **Take it off the page** on the section's card, then confirm with **Take it off**.
2. ### Put it back

   Select **Undo** on the message that follows. The section comes back with its words and its place in the order.

   **Note:** The message disappears after a moment. Add the section again if it has gone.

Fai can take a section off a venue page and put it back, and she asks you to confirm each one. MCP and the CLI can't work on a venue page.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
On the venue page for <VENUE NAME>, take the section headed "<HEADING>" off the page. Show me what it says first and wait for me to confirm, and tell me how to put it back
```

## Answer what visitors ask before they come

 [Play from here](#guide-video)

Visitors ask where to park, what's allowed in and what time you open. The questions list is under the sections, with the same controls: enter the question in **Question** and your answer in **Answer**.

1. ### Add a question

   Select **Add a question**, enter the question and your answer, then select **Save**.

   **Tip:** Ask it the way a visitor would: Where can I park? Is there a cloakroom?
2. ### Put the questions in the order they are asked

   Use **Move up** and **Move down** on each card, the same as on a section. You order the two lists separately, so moving a question never moves a section.

**Note:** A search engine reads the list as questions and answers, so your answers can show in search results.

Fai can show you the questions on a venue page, add one, change a question or its answer, set their order, take one off the page and put it back. She asks you to confirm before each change. MCP and the CLI can't work on a venue page.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
On the venue page for <VENUE NAME>, add the question "<THE QUESTION>" with the answer <YOUR ANSWER>, and show me the wording before you save it
```

## See what changed on the page

 [Play from here](#guide-video)

Select **Show what changed** beside **What changed**. Each change is listed newest first, with what it did, whether a teammate made it, and when.

**Note:** A section taken off the page keeps its entries, so you can still see the changes to parts that are no longer on the page.

Fai can check the same history and tell you what changed on a venue page and when. MCP and the CLI can't work on a venue page.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
Tell me what changed on the venue page for <VENUE NAME> over the last month, and when each change was made
```

## Questions you might have

**Can I drag sections into order?**

 No. **Move up** and **Move down** on each card set the order, and Ticket Fairy saves the whole list in one go, so the page is never left half moved. You order the sections and the questions separately, so moving one never moves the other.

**Who can change what a venue page says?**

 Your brand's owners and admins, and the venue's own owner and admin, which is what claiming the page gives you and what an invitation to the page gives the venue's own team members. A venue belongs to the brand rather than to the person who claimed it, so a colleague who runs the brand can pick the page up. Your brand's other team members see the venue under **Venues**.

**Does a draft show anywhere public?**

 No. A draft is there for your team under **Page content** and nowhere else, and it appears on the public page the moment you turn its switch to **On the page**.

**A teammate saved while I was editing. Have I lost my text?**

 No. The words you entered stay in the form, the card tells you a teammate saved a change, and the control beside it loads the page again so you can save yours over theirs once you have read them.

**How long can a section be?**

 A heading can be up to 300 characters. The text under it can be around 65,000 characters in English and fewer in a language with longer characters, such as Russian or Japanese, and past that the page asks you to split the section in two.

**Can I change the rest of what the page says about the venue?**

 You can change your own sections. They appear above the description the page already has, which stays as it is, and the address and opening details come from the venue's details in Ticket Fairy.
