Understanding your event reports

# Compare ticket sales across all your events

A promoter running a season, a tour or a club night every week wants one answer before opening each event: which shows are selling and which need a push. The brand Performance report adds up every event under your brand, lists each event with its sales and how full it is, and lines events up side by side so you can see whether this year is selling faster than last year.

Use the brand Performance report to check tickets sold, revenue and how full each event is across every event under your brand, then narrow it to a series, a venue or a place and compare how two to five events sold.

For: Following sales across a season, a series or every event under your brand

Takes: 7 minutes

## Your Performance page

- [See sales across every event](#step-1)
- [Compare two to five events side by side](#step-2)

## Before you start

- You're an owner or an admin of the brand, or you have a **Stats** or **Limited Stats** login for it. A Limited Stats login sees ticket counts, orders and how full each event is, but no money.
- Your brand has at least one event. With no events, the page offers **Create an event** instead of the report.

- ## See sales across every event

Open your brand and go to **Performance** in its **Statistics** menu. The report starts with **All events** and **All time**, so the six figures at the top add up every event under the brand: **Tickets sold**, **Net revenue**, **Orders**, **Average ticket price**, **Sold of capacity (all time)** and **Events**. To narrow the report, open **Show sales for**, choose **An event series**, **Specific events**, **One venue**, **Events in a city** or **Events in a country**, then choose the series, events, venue, city or country beside it. Select **Last 30 days**, **Last 90 days** or **Last 12 months** to count only the orders placed in that period. The chart below the figures shows tickets sold per day, per week for **Last 12 months** and per month for **All time**; select **Net revenue** above it to see money instead. The **Events** table has one row per event with its tickets, the tickets sold in the last 7 days, **Sold (all time)**, **Net revenue**, **Orders** and **Last sale**. Select **Upcoming** to see only events still to happen, sort by **Sold (all time)** to put the emptiest first, or select a row to open that event's **Performance** page.

**Note:** The line under **Net revenue** gives gross revenue, which is the ticket price before sales tax less refunds, and the refunds taken off. **Sold of capacity (all time)** and the **Sold (all time)** column count every ticket sold since sales opened, whichever period you pick, against the places on sale for the events that have a capacity. The line under **Events** says how many events are on sale now and how many have sold at least one ticket. Money is shown in your brand's home currency; when your events sold in more than one currency, select a currency code beside the periods to see every amount in that currency.
**Tip:** Select **Ask Fai** beside the periods. Fai reads the events, period and status you chose, and tells you which events are selling fastest and slowest against their capacity, what has changed recently and the one action that would sell the most extra tickets.

- ## Compare two to five events side by side

Select **Compare events** above the **Events** table, then search for and choose between 2 and 5 events. **Days before the event** lines the events up by how many days were left before each one, so you can see which sold faster. **Calendar date** puts them on the same dates, so you can see how one announcement moved several events. Select **Tickets** or **Net revenue** for the curves, and read each event's total tickets and net revenue in the list below the chart.

**Note:** Each curve adds up that event's sales from its first order, whichever period the report shows. Select the cross beside an event name to remove it and choose another.

## Questions you might have

Why does the report say it covers my newest 2,000 events?: The report covers up to 2,000 events at a time, the newest by start date. When your brand or your choice holds more, a message above the figures says so and every figure counts only those events. Choose a series, a venue, a city, a country or specific events under **Show sales for** to see older ones.

Why does the chart not change when I pick Upcoming or Past?: **Upcoming** and **Past** narrow the figures at the top and the table. The chart keeps every event you chose, of both kinds, and a line above it says so while one of them is selected. To see one event's sales over time, open it from the table or use **Compare events**.

How are sales in other currencies converted?: Amounts in another currency are converted into the currency you are viewing at the newest exchange rate Ticket Fairy holds from the last 30 days, and the line under **Net revenue** names the currencies it converted. A currency with no rate in that time is left out of the totals, and that line names it too. In the table, an event that sold in another currency shows its own amount with the converted amount under it.

Why is an event's net revenue here different from its Performance page?: This report adds up each ticket's revenue less refunds, the same as the **Revenue** column on the event's **Performance** page. The **Net revenue** figure at the top of the Performance page also adds add-ons and table guests and takes off referral rebates, so it can differ.

Which tickets does the report count?: Tickets from buyers' orders, as the event's **Performance** page counts them. Complimentary orders, such as the guest tickets your team issues, are left out, and a refunded ticket drops out of **Tickets sold**.

Why is Sold of capacity blank or showing No capacity set?: The percentage needs the number of places on sale. An event with no ticket quantity set, or with a ticket type that keeps selling with no limit, has no capacity, so it is left out of the percentage and its row shows no figure. When no event you chose has a capacity, the figure reads **No capacity set**.

Why can I see ticket counts but no money?: A **Limited Stats** login shows tickets, orders and how full each event is, with every money figure hidden. Ask an owner or an admin of the brand to change your role if you need revenue.

How up to date are the figures?: A new sale can take around 15 minutes to reach this report. To watch one on-sale as it happens, open the event's **Performance** page.

Can Fai read this report for me?: Yes. Ask in ordinary language. Fai can narrow the report to a period, a status or a group of events, read the events table and compare two to five events by days before the event or by calendar date. She reads the figures and changes nothing.
