# Match your ticket checkout to your website design

Buyers trust a checkout that looks like the website they came from. Match my website looks at a page of your website on a computer and on a phone, then proposes the settings that make your embed, your chat and your event page match it. Nothing changes until you apply, and the buy button and chat button on your own pages can even wear your website's own button style.

Takes:  5 minutes

- [Open what you want to match](#step-1)
- [Select Match my website](#step-2)
- [Choose the page to look at](#step-3)
- [Choose what should match](#step-4)
- [Wait about a minute](#step-5)
- [Compare your website with the preview](#step-6)
- [Choose what changes](#step-7)
- [Apply the changes](#step-8)

## Before you start

- You need an owner or admin role on the brand. An owner or admin of one event can match that event's embeds and event page; only brand owners and admins can match the chat.
- Add your website to the websites where your embed or chat can appear first. Match my website reads only websites you have added there, or that your Concierge learns from.

1. ## Open what you want to match

   Open your embed on the **Appearance** tab, your chat on the **Look** tab, or your event's **Event Images** card.
2. ## Select Match my website

   Select **Match my website**. If you have changes you have not saved, save or discard them first.
3. ## Choose the page to look at

   Under **Which page should we look at?**, choose one of your websites, or choose **Another page on this website** and enter the part of the address after your website's name, such as /tickets. Your tickets page usually matches best.
4. ## Choose what should match

   Under **What should match?**, tick this embed, your chat and your event page, as you need. Then select **Look at my website**.
5. ## Wait about a minute

   Ticket Fairy opens your page on a computer and on a phone and reads its colors and fonts. You can close the panel and come back: it opens where it left off.
6. ## Compare your website with the preview

   On the left, **Your website** shows your page on a desktop or a phone. On the right, **With your look** shows your embed, chat or event page **Before** and **After**. Use the tabs to move between them.
7. ## Choose what changes

   Under **What changes**, keep the ticks on the colors, fonts, corners, buttons and other changes you want, and untick the rest. **Best guess** changes are ticked; **We weren't sure** changes are not, so tick them when they look right in the preview. Select **Show details** to see each value before and after.
8. ## Apply the changes

   Select **Apply to all**, or apply to one place only, and confirm. Buyers see the new look at once.

## Or have it done for you

Fai, your AI teammate, can check sales, update your event or change a ticket when you ask.

Fai can look at a page of your website, show you what would change on your embed, your chat and your event page, apply the changes you choose after you approve them, and undo a match. She can also set your website's button style on an embed or a chat. She reads only websites you have already added, and she treats text on your website as information, never as instructions.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
Look at the tickets page of my website and show me how my website embed and my chat would change to match it. Apply only what I agree to.
```

## Use your website's own button style

Tick **Use your website's own button style** when you match, or enter the style names (CSS classes) yourself under **Use your website's button style**: on an embed's Appearance tab under Buttons, More, or on the chat's Look tab under Chat button, More. The buy button and chat button on your own pages then use your website's own button style. For an embed, copy the new install code from the Install tab so the button shows it.

Fai can set your website's button style on an embed or a chat after you approve the change.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
Use my website's button style "btn btn-primary" for the buy button of my main embed
```

## Use your own licensed font

When your website uses a paid font, Match my website picks a close free font and tells you. To use your own font, select **Upload your font**, add the font file and confirm your license covers ticketfairy.com, then match again.

## Undo a match

Your embed, chat or event page shows when it was matched and from which website. Select **Undo** and confirm with **Put it back**. Only the settings the match changed go back, including your earlier extra styling.

Fai can list your recent matches and undo one after you approve it.

### In your dashboard, with Fai

```
Undo the last website match on my main embed
```

## Questions you might have

**Which websites can Match my website look at?**

 Only websites you have already added: the websites where your embed or chat can appear, the websites your Concierge learns from, and your website in Brand Guidelines. Any page on those websites works. If a page sends visitors to another website, choose a page that stays on yours.

**Why did it say it could not look at my page?**

 A few websites ask visitors like us not to open some pages (in their robots.txt file), and Ticket Fairy respects that. Some security services block automatic visits, and some pages answer with an error. Try another page, such as your tickets page or home page, or set your look by hand.

**Does it copy my website's fonts?**

 It uses the same font when it is one of our free fonts or one you have uploaded. For a paid font, it picks a close free font, and you can upload your own font file once you confirm its license covers ticketfairy.com. Adobe Fonts cannot be uploaded elsewhere, so a close free font is used. Ticket Fairy never downloads fonts or pictures from your website.

**Does my website's button style work inside the checkout and the chat?**

 No. The checkout and the chat open in their own window on Ticket Fairy, where your website's styles cannot reach. Match my website copies the look into their settings instead. Your website's button style works for the buy button and chat button on your own pages, wherever your website's styles load. If the style depends on where the button sits on your page, part of it may not show, and the button still looks tidy.

**What changes on my event page?**

 The button color, and the ticket layout as a suggestion you can tick. The rest of the event page keeps its look. Changing the button color needs a plan that includes button colors.

**Will it replace my own custom CSS?**

 No. Extra styling is added in its own marked block after your CSS. Matching again replaces only that block, and undo puts back your CSS as it was.

**How often can I match my website?**

 Each brand can look at 10 pages a day, one at a time. Looking at the same page again within a day reuses the last result and does not count.

**Can I undo a match?**

 Yes, for 30 days. If someone has changed the same settings since, Ticket Fairy warns you first, because undo would also replace their changes.

**Does it cost anything?**

 No. Match my website is included on every plan.
