# Review the messages Fai suggests for your events

The last tickets for a festival, a doors email three days out and a thank-you the morning after are easy to miss in the week of a show. Fai spots those moments across every event on your brand and prepares the message for you, and nothing goes out until someone on your team says yes.

Fai watches your events' sales, dates, check-ins, waiting lists and pre-registrations and prepares a ready-to-send email when the moment is right. You preview it, then edit it, schedule it, send it, switch on the automatic message she suggests, or dismiss it.

For: Promoters and venue teams deciding which ready-made messages go to their fans

Takes: 5 minutes

- [Open For you](#step-1)
- [Preview the message](#step-2)
- [Choose what happens to the suggestion](#step-3)
- [If you chose Review and edit, finish the message](#step-4)
- [If you chose Schedule, confirm the time](#step-5)
- [If you chose Send now, confirm the send](#step-6)
- [If you chose Switch it on, confirm the automatic message](#step-7)
- [If you chose Not now, tell Fai why](#step-8)
- [Check the message is scheduled or sent](#step-9)

## Before you start

- You're an owner, an admin or a marketing team member of the brand, and the brand is verified. Messaging is part of every plan.
- **Suggestions from Fai** is on in Messaging settings. It is on until someone on your team switches it off.
- To send or schedule a suggestion, your own account has passed identity verification.

1. ## Open For you

Go to your brand, select **Messaging**, then **For you**. Each suggestion under **Fai's suggestions** names the event, says why now, and shows about how many people it reaches.

**Note:** Fai suggests an announcement, a sales push, a last chance, a know-before-you-go, a thank-you, a waiting list or pre-registration message, or switching on an automatic message.

2. ## Preview the message

Select **Preview the message** on the suggestion. The subject line and the message Fai prepared open under it.

**Note:** A message marked as ready-made starter copy is the standard wording, and you can change it or ask Fai to rewrite it when you review it.
3. ## Choose what happens to the suggestion

Choose one of the buttons beside the suggestion.

   - **Review and edit**: Opens the message as a draft in Messages, where you change anything and send or schedule it yourself.
   - **Schedule**: Schedules the message for the time Fai suggests, after you confirm.
   - **Send now**: Sends the message straight away, after you confirm.
   - **Switch it on**: Switches on the automatic message Fai suggests, for every event, after you confirm.
   - **Not now**: Dismisses the suggestion, with a reason for Fai if you want to give one.
4. ## If you chose Review and edit, finish the message

Change the draft in the editor that opens, then send or schedule it from there. Every step of the editor is in the guide to emailing or texting your fans.
5. ## If you chose Schedule, confirm the time

Read the time in the dialog and select **Schedule**. The message waits under **Coming up** until then.

**Note:** To change the time, choose **Review and edit** instead and schedule the draft yourself.
![Ticket Fairy Schedule this message? confirmation with the time Fai suggested](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-messaging-suite--suggestion-schedule.png) Messaging, For you, Schedule.
6. ## If you chose Send now, confirm the send

Read how many people the message goes to and select **Send now** in the dialog. The dashboard confirms that the message is on its way.

**Warning:** A sent message can't be taken back.

7. ## If you chose Switch it on, confirm the automatic message

Read the dialog and select **Switch it on**. From then on the message goes out for every event at its moment, without asking each time.

**Note:** You can pause, change or delete it at any time in **Automatic messages**.

8. ## If you chose Not now, tell Fai why

Optional: enter a reason in **Tell Fai why (optional)**, such as that you already announced it on social media, then select **Dismiss suggestion**. The suggestion leaves For you, and your team can see who dismissed it.
![Ticket Fairy Not now dialog with an optional reason for Fai and Dismiss suggestion](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-messaging-suite--suggestion-not-now.png) Messaging, For you, Not now.
9. ## Check the message is scheduled or sent

Look under **Coming up** for a scheduled message and under **Recently sent** for a sent one. Each opens with its results and history, and a message from a suggestion carries Fai's badge.

## Or have it done for you

Fai, the assistant inside your dashboard, can list the suggestions waiting for your team, open one as a draft, schedule it, send it, switch on the automatic message she suggests, or dismiss it with your reason. She shows you the message, the group and the number of people, and asks you to approve before she schedules or sends anything.

Look at my upcoming events again and tell me what you would send this week

## Switch Fai's suggestions off

Open **Settings** in Messaging, turn off **Suggestions from Fai** and select **Save preferences**. Fai stops preparing new suggestions for your brand until someone turns it on again.

## Questions you might have

Does Fai send anything without asking?: No. Every suggestion waits on For you until someone on your team chooses **Schedule**, **Send now** or **Switch it on**, and each of those asks you to confirm first.

How often does Fai suggest messages?: Fai looks at your brand's upcoming events every hour and suggests each kind of message once per event. She starts once your team has opened Messaging, and a suggestion she no longer thinks is right, such as one for an event that has started, leaves For you on its own.

Why is For you empty?: Either there is no good moment to message your fans right now, or **Suggestions from Fai** is off in Settings, which For you says when it is. Select **Ask Fai for new ideas** to have her look again.

Does Fai draft messages in our brand's voice?: Yes. Fai drafts from your events and your brand guidelines, and the message is always a draft you can read and change before it goes out.

What if a teammate already approved the same suggestion?: The suggestion becomes one message, however many people choose it at the same moment. The second person sees that it was already decided.

Why did Schedule open the message instead of scheduling it?: The message needs something fixed first, such as your identity verification or a group with nobody in it. The draft opens with **Before you send** naming what to change.
